Chiefs or Ravens? Plus, the Bears are BACK 🔥 | The Adam Schefter Podcast

Welcome back to the Adam Shfter podcast as we begin to look ahead to week 12. 12 that feels like almost 3/4 of the season, which is amazing. To get us to look ahead and to look back on the tremendous week 11, we welcome the host of the Pat McAfee Show, my friend, my colleague Ty Schmidt to help us along on this week’s sixpack. Thank you very much, Sheffy. Good to be with you as always. Hey, we talked about it on Thursday and boy, you know, that that slate did not disappoint. You know, I maybe it’s recency bias, but it’s tough to think of another week, you know, in in the last definitely this season that had more exciting games in every window. It seems like every marquee matchup that we had pretty much went down to the wire. And you mentioned it there, week 12. God, it unbelievable that next week is Thanksgiving already, but Thanksgiving? When did that happen? I know it’s it’s ridiculous, but here we are. And and now, you know, I I feel like we say this every week, but it’s same same thing. Every week that is in the rear view, we know more about these teams. We get a clearer picture of who might be in the playoffs. So, let’s go. I mean, this is this is the best time of the year. With that in mind, Sheffy, let’s get right into it. Let’s get to topic one of this week’s six-pack. I just said it. Incredible weekend of games. Incredible weekend. If you had to kind of boil that all down to a theme of the weekend, what would that be? Ty, I think we live in this dynamic offensive age. We live in this day and age where people crave fantasy production and the league wants points and scoring and that’s what drives ratings and helps fuels the popularity of the sport. I get all that, but I think in the end, the thing that stands out to me after a telling weekend still, and it’s an age-old tale, is the importance of defense. Think about the Denver Broncos against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos are playing without the reigning defensive player of the year, Patrick Certan. They’re playing without their leading tackler, Alex Singleton, and they still go out and slow down and basically shut down the vaunted Kansas City Chiefs offense. Think about the Los Angeles Rams and the damage that they inflicted upon the high-flying Seattle Seahawks. They picked off Sam Darnold four times. Their defense is great. I know they got Puka Nakua and Devonte Adams and Kyron Williams and Matthew Stafford, all that, but that defense is incredible. And even the Seahawks defense in a game in which their quarterback had four interceptions kept them in a game and shut down or limited the Rams high-flying attack to a certain extent. And then we carry it forward to Sunday night. The Philadelphia Eagles go out and trade for Jaylen Phillips before the trade deadline. and he looks like a huge difference maker. He looks like a guy that could be responsible for elevating them back into the Super Bowl. And they hold the Detroit Lions to, I think it was six points, 0 for five on fourth down, only three third down conversions. And the Eagles defense with all that great talent on offense is the key to that win on Sunday night. And even on Monday night, the Dallas Cowboys defense, the Dallas defense with Quinnon Williams and Dearian Overshawn, even they look better. And so I know we’re living in a day and age with these great quarterbacks and unprecedented offensive production and fantasy meaning more than ever before. But it still feels like defense does win championships and defense showed up on the most telling and significant weekend of the year to date and defenses stood out and defenses will be the difference now and defenses will be the difference again in the postseason. Yeah. No, I I agree wholeheartedly. I think the divide between the halves and the have nots is so wide too. I mean, you look at what maybe was the most entertaining game of the day in Bucks and Bills, but I mean, that was a lot of, you know, threeplay drives, five play drives. You know, it seemed like we were getting 40 to 50 yard touchdowns. And then you watch those other games and and you’re thinking, boy, I mean what, you know, could is Buffalo, a team like Buffalo or a team like Tampa Bay, are they going to be able to do that against a Denver, against a se a Seattle, etc., etc.? You just proved my point. So, I brought up all the teams that play great defense. Do you have confidence today that Buffalo’s defense is going to be able to step up and play the way it needs to in the postseason? That unit might get there. That team might get there because Josh Allen is Superman. But right now, you can say you wonder how that defense is going to hold up when it matters. Is that fair? That’s absolutely fair. I mean it and I listen it could happen because like you said Josh Allen is otherworldly. He’s unbelievable. I don’t know if you can win a Super Bowl having to score 50 points a game and it kind of looks like at least the last couple weeks that’s what they’ve been h they’ve been having to do. I mean run defense especially we know how important that is in the playoffs when the weather gets cold when possessions mean that much more. And boy Tampa Bay kind of just had their way with them. But again, it’s just the the difference between Denver and Kansas City where, you know, those teams had to scrap and claw for every point they get and then it’s just points points points in Denver or I mean, excuse me, in Buffalo and Tampa. Yeah, it just it seems like you definitely I would side more with the teams who have dominant defenses at this point. And I don’t know based on last year, based on what we’ve seen so far this year. I don’t know if you can win a Super Bowl if you don’t have a dominant defense like that. And and that’s that was my takeaway from the whole weekend. That again, defenses stand out. Defenses did it again this weekend. And the teams with the best defenses have the best chance of being standing at top the mountain at the end. Without a doubt. And you know, even like the Bills, you know, you look at the Patriots and how good their defense is and and that division. It’s just so it’s very interesting. And again, like you said, the Bills could get there. You know, they they could be a different team five five weeks from now. But I think after this many weeks of the season, the proof’s kind of in the pudding. You kind of know what you have and it’s it’s tough to imagine that all of the sudden, you know, the the Bills are going to be stonewalling people on defense, but anything’s anything’s possible. It is the NFL. By the way, the Colts at the deadline go out and add a quarterback to try to make their defense better. The New England Patriots, who were in first place in the AFC East, I know we’ve talked about and celebrated deservedly so Drake May. He’s been incredible in his second year, but their defense has been very strong in New England. Very strong. And so these teams with these strong defenses, they have a shot here, a real shot in January and February. Yeah. So that’ll be something to keep an eye on. And and I think you’re absolutely right. And we talked about that a lot yesterday. The big takeaway from the day was the dominating defenses are kind of, you know, you you look at the six to eight best teams in the league and that’s probably, you know, six to six of the best defenses in the NFL. So, um, we’ll see what happens there, but I I think you’re right and I think that is a very accurate takeaway from this weekend. Let’s move on to topic number two of this week’s six-pack. Chefty, another big takeaway, injured QBs. We had Michael Pennix, who you can fill us in more on what exactly is going on there. Rogers potentially having, you know, a broken bone in his left wrist, and then Dylan Gabriel obviously getting banged up. What can you tell us about those three situations? Well, we’ll work our way back from least significant to most significant. Dylan Gabriel in concussion protocol. You’re the Cleveland Browns. You’re not going to playoffs. why is sticking your rookie quarterback out there this weekend. So that sets real real quickly on that. Sheffy, we’ve talked about this um previous. Is it kind of just known now around the league that if someone gets in the concussion protocol that that is like a two or more week injury? No, it’s not it’s not an automatic two weeks. There’s no right or wrong. I would say I don’t know the numbers. There have been players who have gone in who have played the next week. It it has happened. It’s rare. It’s rare. So, like if you go into protocol, typically you’re missing at least the next week and possibly more. As we record this Tuesday morning early, I do not expect CJ Stout to play Thursday night. That would be that’ll be the third game that he Every concussion is different. Every player’s different. There’s no tried and true formula. But again, in this particular case, you’ve got a rookie quarterback on a team that’s not going to the playoffs. Why are we rushing him through protocol? Why is he rushing through protocol? I expect Shador Sanders to make his first NFL start finally working with the first team offense in Cleveland. We’ll see how that goes on Sunday. Aaron Rogers. Oh, we’re recording this early Tuesday morning. By the time people are listening, this may be obsolete because Mike Tomlin is going to talk at noon, address it, update it. I’ll just say this. Sunday night, I was convinced he’s got a broken bone in his left hand. They were going through the options whether or not surgery was needed. If if if surgery is needed, then you have to have that left wrist in a cast. It’s hard to take snaps while you’re left wrist in a cast. They don’t think he’s going to miss much time. That was the initial word, but I think everybody clamped down on Tuesday because all the people on Sunday I spoke to, nobody was calling back on Tuesday. Sure. We’re we’re on Monday. So I I think everybody recognizes Aaron Rogers likes things done a certain way. Mike Tomlin will handle it noon. Michael Pennix. This was to me the most discouraging, disappointing, deflating injury of the whole weekend. And it’s not close. And here we have a player, a great young player who everybody wants to succeed, who’s had a history of knee issues. And now there’s another knee injury and I do not expect him to play again this year. The Falcons said they’re placing him on injury reserve. Doctors are he’s going for additional opinions with doctors seeking second opinions so that he could figure out the best course of action. But going in, here’s what I can tell you. If he does need another surgery, which it sounds like he may, if they need to work on that ACL again, it’s going to be 9 to 12 months. 9 to 12 months. Just start doing the math. Like, we’re not only talking about this season. We’re wondering about when he can get back and can he make it back for next season. Everybody wants him to make it back. We’re rooting for him to make it back. But the reality is with everything that he’s gone through that this is now a question mark. Hopefully, he’s back in the spring. Hopefully, he’s back by training camp. But if you’re the Atlanta Falcons, I don’t know that you can count on that right now. I don’t know. That’s going into these second opinions. And so here’s a player that they were going to be building their team around. They so much so that they traded their first round pick in 2026 to the Rams so they could draft another pass rusher, James Pierce. And now the Rams currently, as of this morning, are slated to have the eighth overall pick in the 2026 draft, courtesy of the Atlanta Falcons. And I don’t know that that pick is going to get better from this point on. I mean, I meaning it’s going to be even higher. That’s a potential top five pick. So, if you’re the Falcons this morning and your quarterback’s hurt and your first round picks gone and your quarterback is on the shelf for who knows how long right now, there can’t be something that’s more deflating or discouraging than that particular situation. No, I mean you you talk about a nightmare situation for a team like the the Falcons are staring at it right now. Obviously, we know about his injury history and you know for I mean if he potentially misses all of next year, you know, just I my question is my question is is this injury and how they handle it is it going to eat into next year? And the point is it’s a question right now. And if they tell us after all these further evaluations that it’s not, then that’s great news. But right now, we have to wonder if next year is going to be impacted. Well, and just on top of that, like the injury history with him is real and it’s significant. You know, they drafted him anticipating that he was going to be the franchise guy for the next, you know, 10 to 15 years. And man, just it, you know, it’s been an up and down year for him on the field play-wise and then for something like this to happen, that’s just terrible. And then you mentioned it, you know, them trading their first round pick. I I think you’re right. I mean, can you imagine the Rams win the Super Bowl and end up getting the fifth overall pick as well because of that like that that’s in play. That’s that’s a very real possibility. That happened one year with Washington. I remember Washington winning the Super Bowl and drafting, I believe, Desmond Howard the next year with the second or so overall pick. So, this has sort of happened before, but it it’s a it’s it’s a very unfortunate spot for the Falcons. By the way, the Rams are not happy about it. They love Raheem Morris. They That’s Shawn McVeyy’s guy. They they you know, they helped turn him into the head coach in Atlanta. They they’re not as much as that pick is going to be help, they don’t they’d rather see Raheem succeed. I know they they they’re really rooting for him. They’re they’re not as concerned about the pick. They know the pick is there, but they want their friend to succeed, right? And it makes sense. And then in terms of Rogers, you know, we know how tough he is and what he’s played through in his career. If there’s any chance that he can go and be, you know, 70% of his normal self. I think he’ll try to, but you know, talking to Steelers fans, at least the ones we have in the office, Mason Rudolph is capable. he’s had to come in before and kind of, you know, fill in for them and and he’s played winning football for them. Steelers, you know, after Sunday, obviously, that’s a big win for them. And then Dylan Gabriel, like you mentioned, that’s kind of just, hey, you’re not going to the playoffs wide, put this kid in any more danger. And this will be big next Sunday for everyone who kind of, I don’t want to say staked their reputation on the fact that Shadur Sanders should have been a first round pick, but we’re, you know, we’re going to get an opportunity to see what comes of that. So that’ll be an interesting situation as well. So those are three guys to keep an eye on um over the next, you know, next week for sure, but in the case of Penn and Rogers, you know, maybe the next uh couple weeks to potentially longer for Penn. All right, Shifty, let’s move to topic number three of this week’s six-pack. A lot of conversation yesterday after the Chiefs fall to five and five, are the Chiefs dead, etc., etc. I think a lot of people are discounting the fact that Denver potentially could be the best team in the NFL right now and you know the Chiefs lost by on a last second field goal, but where do you stand on the Chiefs right now being five and five? I first of all I still believe in the Chiefs. I still think that they can make the playoffs and I think that they could be dangerous and be a tough out. I’m in on the Chiefs. like I still think they’ll make the postseason even though if the playoffs began today, the Chiefs would be out. But what’s notable here to me is that the Chiefs have won nine straight AFC West titles. Nine straight. Tai streak is over. Don’t think they’re going to make it 10. Don’t think they’re going to win their 10th straight AFC West title this year, which is an unbelievable run. But you tell me how they’re going to overcome four games being behind Denver going into week 12. Like it it’s just not going to happen. We take a look at their schedule right now. Indianapolis at home this Sunday. Big game. We’ll talk about that on the podcast Thursday, I’m sure. At Dallas on Thanksgiving Day. Not a simple game. Not a simple game. Chiefs Dallas, I’m looking forward to that one. Houston at home, Chargers at home, at Tennessee, Denver at Vegas. I mean, look, the schedule’s not torturous, but their margin of error is gone. They they they can’t lose many if any more games. I just don’t see them winning the division right now. I see them in the playoffs. I see them having to win three road games to get to the Super Bowl. And by the way, they’re capable of that, but I don’t see them as being the AFC West champs in 2025. Yeah, I agree. And you know, barring an absolute collapse from Denver, which their defense is so good. I don’t know if that’s possible. You know, I I can’t see their defense all of a sudden turning into a pumpkin and giving up 35 points a game, but for this particular Chiefs team, I think this might be exactly maybe not exactly what they want. Obviously, you’d like to win the division. You know, 10 10 years in a row is exceptional. That may never happen again. But for Mahomes and all those guys to be able to put the chip on their shoulder and say, “Hey, we’re going to be the villains. We’re going to go into people’s houses throughout the playoffs, like you know, it it again, it’s one of those things where if you’re one of these teams who won your division and you’re uh you’re the two seed or you’re the three seed or wherever it may be, I mean, that is the worst case possible scenario. You do not want to play the Chiefs in the first round of the playoffs.” By the way, Denver played a good game on Sunday. I know Denver, like we said, was without Sir Certan and Alex Singleton, but they, you could say they squeaked by Kansas City. Squeak by, right? And we’re celebrating Denver here, deservedly so. But if they played that game 10 times in Denver, how many times do you think the Chiefs would win? I I’d say at least five. Me, too. I’d say five. I I agree with you right there. It’s a coin flip between those two teams. Yeah. So, until the Chiefs are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, I I I will still ride with them and think that they’re going to be a very dangerous team if they do get in. That’s how I feel, but they’re just not going to be doing it as the division champs this year. Exactly. So, and you know, hey, Denver earned it. So, there, you know, and the Chiefs could probably look back at a couple and kick themselves, but you know, it is what it is. And ultimately, you know, if you’re not going to get the number one seed where even if they were to, you know, win the division right now, they’re probably not going to get the buy anyway. So, yeah, you’d like to have a first round home playoff game, but the Chiefs are accustomed to going on the road if they have to. We saw it a couple years ago when they had to go to Buffalo. And um so yeah, I mean, until the Chiefs are officially eliminated, I wouldn’t be sleeping on the Chiefs. a lot of people will and that will probably be a huge mistake. So, and like you said, this upcoming weekend, this is a massive game. You know, this this probably you probably could tag that with must-win if you’re the Chiefs. So, that’ll be a great one. Excited for that one. Let’s move on to topic number four of this week’s six-pack Sheffy. As a Packers fan, I can’t believe I’m going to say this. Uh gosh, the Chicago Bears are in first place in the NFC North. H how did this happen? Um, unfortunately, I tried to downplay it all off season and even the the first couple weeks of the season, they found their guy. Ben Johnson is he’s remarkable. The last time the Chicago Bears were in first place after week 11 of the season was 2018, some seven years ago, when their head coach was a rookie head coach, Matt Naggie, and their quarterback was a secondyear quarterback, Mitch Trabiscy. Seven years later, they have a rookie head coach in Ben Johnson, and they have a secondyear quarterback in Caleb Williams. And the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Bears are back in first place. Yep. Not exactly what you expected as a Packer fan, Ty, but give it up. Ben Johnson has turned around that culture, has implemented his program, has the quarterback playing at a higher level, and the Bears are playing unlike I’ve seen them play since maybe 2018. They’re making great plays. They’re finding ways to win games. They How many in a row have they won? They they they were 0 and2 to start the year. Yeah, they were 0 and2 to start the year. Like take a look at that as you look at on your computer right now. You call that up, but I believe they lost their first two games and I think they’ve lost only one game since then. What do we got, Ty? That is correct. They lost their first two games and they’ve won seven of their last eight. Rolling. Yeah. Yeah. And it’s one of those things where we talk about it every year with these teams who somehow the ball just kind of bounces their way in one-score games. Usually that doesn’t skew in that season. If you win a bunch of one-score games in a season, typically you kind of ride that out for the rest of that year and then maybe it’s the next year where the ball doesn’t go your way. Um, so it and and like you said, I I I hate I hate it because I’m a Packers fan, but you watch all the clips of Ben Johnson postgame and stuff like that. He’s so stoic. He’s he’s not about the BS at all. Like, he understands, hey, massive win on Sunday going down and, you know, getting that game-winning field goal. But right away, hey, we got a lot to clean up. We got a lot to clean up. And they do, they have a bit of a murderers to kind of end the season here. But if they can get through this schedule and they end up winning the North, it’s not just a, oh, this is a a good bad team, you know, it’s like they they’ve earned it and they’ll be battle tested come playoff time if if they can kind of do what they need to do here down the stretch. And you know what’s also interesting? I’m thinking about it and it just goes to show you why the NFL is so popular. If we go back to all the preseason predictions, was there anybody that didn’t pick the Chicago Bears not to finish in last place? like they were picked across the board. Everybody’s picking either the Lions or the Packers or even the Vikings to win that division. I don’t think anybody I don’t think anybody was picking the Bears to win that division. Am I wrong there? No. I don’t even think people in Chicago were picking the Bears to to win the division or make the playoffs. You know, I think maybe they thought, “Hey, things will get turned around. We’ll look better with Ben Johnson.” But this is this is beyond I think a lot of people’s wildest expectations and that’s what makes it interesting. It’s in a market that deserves a great football team. Ben Johnson, Caleb Williams, they’re delivering. They’re finding ways to win. Good for the Chicago Bears back in first place for the first time in seven years. Yeah, I’m I’m, you know, I actually am happy for Bears fans with all the torment and torture they’ve been through. And we’ve talked about this a bunch. teams in big big markets like that. The NFL is better when the Bears are good, when the Giants are good. Um, you know, I don’t that the Jets haven’t been good in a really long time, but you you get what I mean. When when massive fan bases, when their teams are playing good and they’re better, the NFL as a whole is kind of just better, I believe. So, good on the Bears and um we’ll see what they can do down the stretch here. I’ll tell you what, no team is going to be taking them lightly uh when they when they go to play him. That is for sure. All right, Chefty, let’s move on to the fifth topic of this week’s six-pack. We’ve talked about this ad nauseium, and turns out we were, you know, we were right. There was a reason we talked about it ad nauseium. The Ravens have won four straight games. They’re in a great position right now and set up for their next three games where they are home against the Jets, the Bengals, and the Steelers. Three straight home games. So again, what’s interesting to me about this is ESPN Bet saw this coming before everybody else. Like when the Ravens were one in five, one in five, ESPN Bet was forecasting the Ravens to win the division at that point. Now I think they’re a game back. Pittsburgh won Sunday, might have lost its quarterback. We’ll see here soon enough. But now you got that three-game home stretch with a team that feels like it’s getting better. They just feel like they’re more and more Ravenlike every week, right? This is the team that we thought we’d see that we didn’t get to see at the start of the year and they’re coming on and you could feel it coming on and I think we all know where this movie is going, right? Yeah, I I think so. I would not feel comfortable if I were in Pittsburgh. Cincinnati hasn’t been able to hang. They have not come through when they’ve needed and Cleveland obviously is not going to win the division, but Baltimore is starting to get better. I I don’t know that Baltimore can beat out some of these better teams in the FC, but I do believe they can beat out Pittsburgh for the AFC North title. Yeah, I I agree. And you know, I think a lot of people kind of just chocked up that Browns game on Sunday as an easy win, but I think getting over that kind of trap game, if you will. We know how dominant Cleveland’s defense is at home. Divisional opponent, you know, and and the the Ravens by no means played a good game. You know, Lamar wasn’t sharp. Miles Garrett had a bunch of sacks, but they won that game. They still have two against Pittsburgh. And like you said, you know, I right now it’s their defense is coming into form like we like they did last year. They were so bad at the start of the year and then all of a sudden a switch flipped and it’s kind of like, okay, this is the Baltimore defense we’re accustomed to seeing. But I think you’re right. I don’t know how they stack up against the other dominant teams in the AFC, but you have a guy like Lamar Jackson. It’s kind of like the Josh Allen thing with the Bills. You know, those kind of guys can mask so many deficiencies that you might have. So, if you’re a Ravens fan, man, you got to be feeling born again right now. Ty, I have a question for you. Who do you feel better about, the Chiefs or the Ravens? Chiefs. Me, too. Me, too. Yeah. Well, the Ravens are back, but they’re not that back, right? And and you know, like, hey, if they if they win the division and get in and get a home playoff game that, you know, and and they end up playing the Chiefs or something like that, what a what a treat that’ll be for a first round playoff game. a a game that we we maybe thought we were going to see in the AFC Championship. So, yeah, it it it’s one of those things where it’s not surprising because we’ve been talking about it so much, but good on the Ravens for actually going out and doing it. So, we’ll see. It’s it it’ll be crazy to think that, you know, a couple weeks from now, going into December, the Ravens might be eight and five with kind of a strangle hold on the uh AFC North. So, if you’re a Ravens fan, welcome back. All right, Chefy, let’s move on to the sixth and final topic of this week’s six-pack. This was kind of tough this week, but who do you got for your power rankings? We got a shakeup this week. A little shakeup. I think there was a little bit of clarity for the power rankings in my weekly power rankings. I’m going to go in the number one slot, the Los Angeles Rams. They beat a tough Seahawks team. I know I know the Eagles beat the Rams earlier in the year, but I feel like the Rams physically beat up the Eagles in that game and it feels to me like the Rams are just the best team in football right now. Not by a wide margin, but it feels like they’re really good. I’m going to go with the Philadelphia Eagles who are coming on who are better with Jaylen Phillips in the number two spot. In the number three spot, we’re gonna go with the Denver Broncos, the number one seed in the AFC right now. Then we’ll go with the New England Patriots at number four. Number five, the Seattle Seahawks who almost pulled the upset against the Rams. And in the sixth spot, making their initial debut in the 2025 season in our power rankings, number six, your Chicago Bears tie. My apologies. Wow. Wow. Okay. I I like that. My My power rank very very similar. And I think again, it’s one of those things where we’ve talked about this and we’ve had a lot of the same teams kind of interchangeable in our power rankings. Uh Rams at number one, I I really don’t think there’s much of an argument right right now for that. You know, that Seattle was so good coming into this game. We know how good they are on the road. And Matt Stafford is kind of just the X factor. Their defense has been unbelievable. But you look at all these teams who have unbelievable defenses. Matt Stafford, I think, is the best quarterback on the other side. I I think I trust their offense more than some of these other teams. I had the Broncos at number two. I think you could make a case for them being number one, but again, I think I I trust Matt Stafford a lot more than I trust Bo Knicks right now, even though he played arguably maybe the best game of his career on Sunday against the Chiefs. He was unbelievable, especially in crunch time when he needed to be at three. I have the Eagles as well. Their defense is, you know, I understand if you’re an Eagles fan how frustrating it is watching their offense, but boy, I’ll tell you what, when you can score 10 points a game and win, you know, that’s that’s pretty special. I had the Colts at number four. I had to keep them in there. I I it not a great week to have a buy when there were so many marquee games and and kind of, you know, a lot of big statements, but we’ll find we’ll find out a lot more about this Colts team and kind of like their legitimacy moving forward on Sunday against the Chiefs. I had the Patriots at number five as well. They just continue to win. Drake May is unbelievable. He might end up winning MVP. We talked about how good their defense is. And then I have Seattle at number six. Crazy that Sam Darnold threw four interceptions and they still had an opportunity to kick a field goal to win the game. Well, those are strong rankings. Look, it’s still early. There’s a lot that’s going to change. We’ll see how it plays out. We have another strong slate of games this weekend. By the way, also, you know what started this past weekend? Lamb Man on on Sunday night. Oh, yeah. And I have to give a little shout out to Lamb Man because my wife and I, we love the first season. I wound up going to the New York City premiere on Tuesday. Oh, good for you. And I gotta tell you this, this is very cool. So I walk in some back door and the security guys brought me out to the red carpet. It was very cool. I look around on the red carpet. There’s the entire cast of Land Man. Like there’s Billy Bob Thornton. There’s Ali Larder. There’s Andy Garcia. There’s everybody who’s Sam Elliott. Demi Sam Elliott. Demi Moore. Everybody. And I’m kind of intermingling with it. Billy Bob Thorne walked over to me, came over and he said, “I watch you all the time on Get Up.” And I said, “I love I love watching you, Billy Bob.” And he said, he said, and I quote, “I could talk sports with you all day.” And I said, “Billy Bob, here’s my number.” I gave it to his publicist, Arnold, my friend Arnold Robinson. Good man. Here’s my number. Anytime you want to talk sports, you call me Billy Bob. Anytime you want to talk sports, we went in, watched the premiere. I’m sure people have seen it by now. the opening say it was outstanding. I love that show. Looking forward to season two. So went to the premiere. 1. Nobody talks about the amount of money the bears have spent on the O line and whole new staff. Idk why it’s a surprise to people that the bears are winning. They didn’t spend millions of dollars for shits & giggles. Took them time to gel so of course they were at risk of losing a few games in the beginning.

  2. Da Bears could be a team of destiny this year! Not saying they'll win the Superbowl but they are ahead of schedule in the Ben Johnson era! Despite all the injuries, they're 7-3 and in first place!

  3. Da bears!!! 🐻 down!!! We have finally got an the wrinkles out now it time to pay smooth football and prove to people we're gonna go all the way and bring chicago back and slap all the haters in the mouth 😊

  4. Bears have been winning games for 3 main reasons

    1. They have ran the ball well.
    2. Their defense has generated turnovers at an absurd rate.
    3. Weak schedule (if I’m being honest)

  5. All the 1st round QB’s from this year and last year have struggled so one full start for Sanders isn’t going to define his career. If it’s a bad or a good game there’s a lot of reps that have to happen.

  6. Unfortunately this is what teams worried about with Michael Penix, a 12 month rehab would have Atlanta deciding if they need another QB.
