Kinda crazy Bob stat from last night. Despite having .667SV% and allowing 5 goals, that was still only 0.57 goals more than expected. For comparison, Patera had -3.46 goals saved above expected.

What I’m hearing is that I should continue to rage about dumb defensive mistakes and lack of offensive finishing. On it!
I mean… was the defense really that bad last night? 5 goals on 12 shots to me doesn’t suggest it does. I guess you can argue that the ones that did go by where high danger shots, but to my eye I saw 3 soft ones go in.
This makes sense to me honestly. I think we get spoiled because officer Bob is usually much much better than average. So, was Bob worse than typical Bob last night? Absolutely. Was Bob playing poorly (id define as below average) not really. They had some solid chances and he maybe let in one softy.
I had sinking feeling before the game they should start tarasov though. But that’s complicated PoMo did what I would do atm he put the A team out against a hot team we should beat. I agree with that strategy. Right now our main priority should be not to lose games we should win, and to win as many that are a toss up as possible. I wouldn’t worry as much about the ones we should lose with all the injuries we have.
And it was STILL a barn burner.
Deserve to win-o-meter was actually 55% in favor of VAN lol
He seemed a little off after the collision.
What 9 seconds was he not on the ice for?
Vancouver’s goals, aside from the first one (which was a crazy good and quick play by O’Connor to get the puck before Bob could freeze it), were pretty high quality chances. We were dominating the pace and possession, but our lapses were monumentally bad.
