3? 4? 3rd and longs they gave up? Including the 3rd and 15 at the end. Chris Jones admits they knew the coverages. Just embarrassing all around.
When you can’t get pressure you can have 8 ALL PRO DBs and it wouldn’t matter
They absolutely do. They allowed the Broncos fucking awful offense to score on consecutive drives with the game on the line.
Not getting the right call on 3rd & 15 is inexcusable.
Do we ever stop the other team fron scoring on their first drive? Far too often we give up 3rd & long.
Our D has been fucking horrendous on 3rd downs for years. This year is just highlighting that.
I CANNOT WAIT to watch the Donks get fucking DESTROYED in the playoffs.
Why we are playing zone and not having Sutton double teamed on 3rd and 15 is beside me. His is their relief valve on those plays. Got to do better.
For sure. Wayyyy too many 3rd and long completions and deep balls given up. They’re solid but they lack big play ability
Raiders defense got torched tonight (and most games this year), but magically the Raiders held the Broncos offense to 10 points in Denver. Chiefs defense absolutely deserves some blame in these road games. The defense is about 8 points per game worse on the road than they are at home (13 ppg at home vs 21 ppg on the road).
All 3 phases of the team need to flip the switch in a major way moving forward. All 4 of your remaining home games are against Playoff quality teams. And you have 3 road games where you need to perform better than we’ve seen in the 5 road games so far this year.
I see a defensive line that needs half overhauled. They got no push, no pressure. They totally get worked by good offensive lines. Zero pressure without a blitz, and blitzing too much tends to leave massive coverage holes.
In 4 of our 5 losses, the defense fails to make late game stops, unlike in previous years. The Mahomes-Reid era is known for winning one score games and not blowing out teams the last three years. Blame both the defense and offense for not closing out games. And it starts with Andy. Whatever late game plan he has this year is definitely not working.
want to know a bigger problem on the defense, the secondary. only 6 interceptions and the 10th worst in the league at getting passes defensed.
if only the chiefs could get a safety as good as the honey badger, that would really help out.
We just need a flat out fresh defensive unit. Chris Jones’ decline has highlighted the poor Ability of everyone else on that side of the ball. Doesn’t matter how good your DBs are, nobody can cover for 4+ seconds every single down and expect good results. Not having pressure with 4 is a massive problem. Not having a reliable LB in coverage is a problem. Seems like they don’t even have a leader out there in the field sometimes.
