Full Highlights | Blues vs. Maple Leafs – Nov 18, 2025 (w/Joe Bowen)
Leafs of the St. Louis Blues. Mr. Bennington in goal and a 53 and one record against the Maple Leafs who have seven players on the injured reserve list including Matthew Ny chased into the corner by Yarn Crooked comes back to the point near side and a rustling drive and off on the right wing side. It goes for Perko. A shot, blocker save, big rebound in front and the Leafs counter and start out of their own end. Cowan on the left wing for Bobby McMahon driving and a blocker save made by Bennington. Round back of the net. It’s going to be pushed up on the wing. Unable to get to it was Robertson. It’s back of the net. A centering pass and Walker a chance and then they score on the rebound. Boy, I think Willie Nelander Joe puts this into his own neck. The puck bounced up off Joseph Wall and to his right and kneelander and trying to knock it down knocked it right back into his own net. So a minute 50 in. The Leafs are down one to nothing. Jacob Quinnland got it down into the left wing corner. Quinnland runs over his man with a good hit. And now the Blues back the other way. Kyru into the slot with a shot. Blocker save. Rebound wall. Good save coming across to take the rebound away as well. No, not into an icing. Wow. Not sure why that was uh whistled down. Play with a good hit in the offense. Back of the net now for Troy Stcker. Ster is hauled down and a penalty coming against St. Louis. Puck back to the point. McCabe shot blocked. He gets a second try. Scores. Two huge breaks. First off, the goal is the first shot is blocked and it comes right back to McCabe and his wrist finds the back of the net to tie the game at one. Grabbed off then by Holloway. He couldn’t get a shot. It comes back to Perryo. A drive. Big save made there by the league goalender. Blues have to go back into their own zone to restore though. And they’ll carry to center and get it in on the left wing. A pass into the slot. Now here’s Thomas going to the net. A shot and that was stopped by goalender Joseph Wall. Punched around the boards that Oliver Eman Larson couldn’t get to. D’Vorski now for St. Louis into the corner. Centering pass in front. Toe save made there by Wall. Mermison got it out at center ice. And now a pass in on goal for Doby in on goal and it’s going to be smothered up by Bennington but the arm is up. Well, I tell you what a dash by Max Doi. Cowan over skates the puck cleared to the line but not out. Leafs keep it in. Neander a shot deflected wide. Cowan centers in a shot off the shoulder of Bennington. You mentioned the St. Louis penalty kill 30th overall in the NHL. Leafs win the faceoff. Centering pass in front of the goal. Shot over top of the net by Cowan. Robertson and the draw. Scrum to Knander. Gets a shot away from the slot and a blocker save made by Bennington. Looking for a Robertson tip, but it didn’t happen. Back to the blue line. One of the Blues has had broken his stick and a shot by Tavvaris is kicked away by Bennington. The Leafs. Actually, that was what a 6 nothing 6-1 blowout. Yep. Yep. Of course, Doug Gilmore’s wraparound goal. Yeah. Here’s a chance now for Cowan. Hit the goal post. It went right through Bennington, but he just got enough of it to redirect it from the middle of the net to the post. Sort of like the three stooges passing the grenade around. Yeah. Pass to the left wing. Broken up into the corner. It goes centering pass though. That went off Robertson as getting it away was Holloway will regroup as he skates around back of his own goal. Now he starts out ice with a bank pass ahead and center and getting in. Right wing side driving the net in a goal is Quillin here. He gets another try right wing side and in looking for a man dropping it off in the left wing for Riley. Play ahead for Blake and across the line. Blake turns and holds on. Machelli’s gone to the front. the pass back. They score. Loren off the left wing in the middle of the line chain and the Leafs on their 18th shot on goal have grabbed the lead. Second goal of the season for Steven Loren. But what a play by Sammy Blake coming down the right wing boards on his off wing. And for the first time in the contest, the Leafs have the lead. They’ve scored all three goals in the hockey game, but two of them are in the right net. And there’s a shot that Wall is able to cover up. Wall with a glance over a shoulder, then swept it up on the wing. And Riley is down in a heap. Yeah, they did collide, Rick. Yeah, it’s kind of shouldertosh shoulder, but Riley went down awkwardly. Missing the hit. There was Benois. Then a shot from a sharp angle by Walker. Boy, they got a tripping call coming here against Toronto. D’vorski was off the mark and he couldn’t make contact. Now a shot rolls in on goal. Two pad saves made there by Wall and the Leafs are not going to get it out. Good play made there by Buchavic to keep it alive. Blues back to the point. Fowler with it again near side for Thomas. Back across and they score. Well, not only could the Leafs not get it out, Joe on a great opportunity, but Simon Benoad broken his stick and had to get his from Steven Loren. And now a giveaway by Doy and a hit there is going to end up being a penalty. And the Blues win the face off. Shot kicked away nicely there by Wall. Hollow away back to the blue line. Faulk to the point. Faulk gets it back in the slot. Left wing side. A shot. Good save off of Holloway. Played it into the corner. Oliver Ecman Larson trying to protect it there. McCabe trying to dig it out, but the Blues come out of the scrum and they get it right in front of the goal. Big save made with a sprawl by Wall. Best save of the game for the Leaf net minder. Joseph Wall right near the end of the period. Came up with the best save from either goalender. Minute 46 and now Wall taking the chance to go and he’ll get there and get back and a shot taken by Tavarus is blocked. Cowan almost gave the puck away. Now he gets it again and then he has it pickpocketed. Sudter in with a shot stopped. There’s a big rebound. Tryard Robertson trying to come away with it then is able to get a loose puck free. And now Robertson starts down the left wing, cuts in over the line, beats two guys and got it in front of the net and the shot just went wide to the goal by Toy Stretcher who came in front of the net and got a pretty good shot away, but it just grazed the far post. It comes away and the Blues are able to force it out. And now a twoon-one break on the right wing side. Sunquist with a shot that graces the post and went wide. Cowan had his stick lifted and stolen. Sunquist into the far corner. got it into the slot. Back to the point. Kessle with a shot right on. Big rebound in front of the goal and taken to safety by Cowan. And then he shoots it over the glass and out of play. Blues get it back to the point. Power on the left wing. Back in front of the net. A pass in front and that was deflected just wide. Sudter on the wing. Pass across back to the blue line again for Kyu. Kyu dishes over to Faulk. Fauling on a shot. Stop. Rebound shot wide and up into the screen. Well, and I think Steven Loren may have got a stick on this. Worked it over the line and into the far corner. Walker gets it back along the boards. Kyu into the slot. A shot. Good save by Wall. Blaze sends it in for Toronto in there with a good hit there as the puck comes free and the Leafs are unable to get to it. And the Blues off a stick to the line just kept in. Pass into the slot and a shot. Good pass save made by Joseph Wall and a shot down into the Toronto end. Bank pass out now. The Leafs trying to break up ahead for Morgan Riley with Knander. Knander in with a pass to Tavaris and the shot was knocked away by Bennington. And the Leafs are able to turn it away. And now here’s Doi along with Cowan. Doi in with a pass into the slot and a wicked wrestler there by McMahon was fended off by Bennington. Boy, you got a lot on that. Now a giveaway and the Blues in. Shot stopped by Joseph Wall. Blues into the Leaf zone. Drop pass in on goal. Shot went wide to the goal and it comes to the near point and he does. Knander in the slot doesn’t shoot it. Now he does. And it’s deflected and then fended off by the blocker of Bennington. Tavvaris is by himself. The Leafs are changing. Johnny’s triple teamed in the corner and he’s not going to come away with the loose puck, but he’s managed to push it free to the right wing side. Knander, he’s in a goal. What a play. Holly back it off. Willie Knander wins the game. Oh, what a play by John Tamarz. One on three. You said it. But John Tavvaris won the battle. Willie kneelander coming off the bench. Then goes into video game mode. XY right trigger. Left stick. Tuck it around the right pad. He beats one man. Takes it to the net and then tucks it around the right pad of Jordan Bington. And Knander then does the magic to snap a fivegame losing streak by the Leafs. A big win on home ice 3 to2.

Nylander should have been Captain of the leafs. Nies, Taveres, Mcabe, Domi, and Nylander are the only player's keeping the leafs alive. Just like last year.
Willy saves the day!!
Don’t point at Tavares for your goal, instead point at the cameras your YouTube content
what's with the cultist boards?
Nylander to a tee. Cause a goal. Give low effort half the game, get points off the back of an actually hardworking hockey player.
Willy shouldnt have left JT hanging like that… guy wins a board battle 1 on 3 and you dont even acknowledge him until the moment passed? Wild. He should have done the "point" to JT immediately. If you needed one more reason to see how f'ed the teams culture is.
I remember playing rep soccer growing up and my dad would play the leafs game in the car, this takes me back that call on Willie's goal
Cowan is snakebitten as hell on the offensive side but good lord he takes so many comically bad penalties. He needs more time to cook, but at least this is good experience I guess. I think he'd be better served in the Marlies but pretty soon the Leafs are going to be the Marlies if the attrition rate stays this high
Tavares’ name should never be thought of alongside those other soft underachievers.
If everyone played like John and had his character, this team would be invincible.
What a play, what a guy, what a true example of professionalism and leadership!
While I'm glad they won the game – I dont understand Nylander – how do you skate right by Tavares, who just worked his ass off to get you the puck, and right after the goal, give your primary attention to some bud in the crowd? After losing 5 straight games?! The team Willy – its the team that your attention should be on – for the love of God the team is in dire need of TEAM.
2 goals for Nylander
JT's skate pass tho👀🤔🔥…
Willie makes up for the Own Goal😉😸
the real captain shows up again like always
Willy scored the first and last goals 😵💫
"Yeah Baby, Yeaah!!…"~

No grit, no toughness, win a game despite being outplayed and out chanced. Leafs have finally adopted the Habs game strategy. Just need stellar goaltending, barely make the playoffs, and they’re guaranteed a final four appearance.
Great job Jelly! And Im a little happier with the urgency to win! Still gotta a long way to go. Taveres should be wearing the C hands down. I think it is time for the other so called talented players to either step up or wave their no trade clauses (If any) and pack their bags. There is no heart or passion when they are here and healthy. 🍁
Love how Mccabe takes a penalty, then is cross checked into the back, no call of course by the refs. Love the consistent inconsistency again from the refs
Great job Jelly
I thank God (or Tree, or whomever) for the Leafs signing William Nylander to that 8-year contract. He'll be the FIRST LEAF to score 1000 points AS A LEAF. I'm calling it right now.
Thank F for that. I'm afraid to watch these days.
that OT sequence was beautiful and Tavares worked so hard to get that puck
i hope blais stays in the lineup and everyone stays healthy!
This ones for you Joe!!!
I love the non-sequitors edits 3:57 "felt like the 3 Stooges passing the grenade around" 🤣
I’d like the leafs to look at getting kyrou somehow. Kadri too but hey I’m just talking out my ass here. It’s nice to see the marlins throwing some big hits tho❤
On pride night, to all my queer ladies and bros here, I’m sorry you’re along for this ride, but you’re with friends, and at least this one turned out well!
Leafs Captain will always be John Taveras in my books.
Travares channeling his inner footy kick assist, he would have sored a goal for canada against venezuela tonight
Ugh the refs just get worse and worse
Typical leftist Toronto has to have the boards covered in gay
The officiating was absolutely brutal, those two penalties in the second period I don't know what the refs were seeing but…
Looks like youngers felt a lot of space spread their wings. I liked Cowan and Quillan, Robertson played with much better with less pressure. All in all, team played good.
Stecher, Strecker, Strecher, Stecker… Troy gave Bonsie some problems tonight 😀
It's not really related to the game, but am I the only one who wishes they'd use Panama as the full time goal song rather than legally distinct colorado's song?
I don't really like the leafs (habs fan) but your announcer here is REALLY GOOD… a lot of these announcers stink like blue cheese. This guy brings the goods.
JT always been our true captain… all real ones know it.. we love Matthews but JT shows up and gives it everything he has day in and day out a true leader!
Cowan reminds me of Theo Fleury ✌🏻
God love Joe Bowen but he pronounced Stetcher three different ways tonight and none of them were right lmao
