Well, Well, Well… GUESS WHO Is Praising The Seattle Seahawks

[Music] Welcome into Seahawks Today. I am your host, Will Ortner, and we’ve been taking some shots, Seahawks nation. All the twelves, Sam Darnold, and well, frankly, a lot of the Seattle Seahawk players, they’ve been taking some shots from the national media saying that we were a fraudulent team, saying that we aren’t as good as we supposedly were thought to be. This was a team that isn’t as strong as people might have thought two, three weeks ago. I mean, shoot, I was looking high and low and I could not find a single a single national media member to come to the support of the Seattle Seahawks until I found old reliable. I went to my main guy. I went to the number one Will Ortoner favorite. Listen, and that of course is the great, the wonderful I’m not going to tell you just quite yet because I need to ask you to please join the noty gang here on Seahawks today. You don’t want to miss any videos that we’ve got coming out here on the channel. And the best way to make sure that you don’t miss any of those videos is that you go in, click that bell icon, turn those notifications on, and you will get notified the minute that a video drops on the channel. This guy, this is the guy that I’m talking about. my number one man. I’ve been listening to him in the car back when he was doing TV in Portland, Oregon, and doing radio before ESPN came in and picked him up. Colin Coward, he always knows when to come in and support the boys and support the Seattle Seahawks. A lot of people were saying that this Seahawks team was fraudulent and not as good as they supposed to be or were supposed to be. Cow Herds had a little bit of a different take on it. Calhard said this on his radio show, The Herd. Seattle’s a young team and young teams can often struggle to find an identity. The Seahawks don’t. Darnold strangely fits them perfectly. Darnold, even with four picks, feels like the perfect fit for the young, youthful, little more mistake Seahawks. This is huge for the Seattle Seahawks because while they are young, they don’t make a lot of mistakes multiple times. Cow herd’s not the only person who saw that. In the Seahawks three losses, he goes on, they had multiple giveaways and they’re still all one possession losses. That is a huge point to make sure that we emphasize in this game because I completely agree with Cow Herd. The Seahawks do have a strong identity and they continue to fight back. They are a gritty grinded out old school type of football team built through the defense built off an ability or this this ability to never ever ever give up. A constant fight through almost like a military style of background. It’s almost like this team is built in this guy’s image and that’s your head coach. You brought in Mike McDonald to be similar to Pete in the sense that yes, he is a players coach, but you brought him in to build a strong defense, to build a culture that was a little less laxidasical. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Pete Carol era, but he let the players be themselves. Mike McDonald doesn’t care how you act as long as you come in and you work your butt off for him every single day. And you can see that for this team. I think what’s most important too though is when you look at the stats for this Seahawks group, aside from Ernest Jones, who is playing the middle linebacker position, he is going to have more tackles than most. That suggests how that position works. There is not really one player that stands above the crowd. They are all doing massively important work and getting the dividends for that. Tyrese Knight, that’s a guy who was the starting linebacker at one point. Gets benched for Drake Thomas. Well, he comes back anyways. It doesn’t matter. Once he gets his opportunities again, he’s your leading tackler against the Arizona Cardinals. He’s flying around making big plays, forcing two fumbles that led to touchdowns for the defense. Kobe Bryant, he was an afterthought. Maybe not an afterthought, but he’s the second safety in that crew. Julian Love is supposed to be the guy. Well, Julian Love goes down. Kobe Bryant steps up, makes big plays, forces a fumble last last week against the Rams. Drake Thomas, a guy that there were people thinking that he was going to get cut all the way down to roster cut days after your training camp was done. Not only does he make the team, then he ends up beating out Tyrese Knight for that starting spot and he’s been anything but a let down for this team. He’s been a massive player for you. He’s got 48 tackles. And then Tai, the guy who had to fill in for Julian Love. A guy who at one point people were screaming from the mountain tops, maybe myself included, that he needed to be benched. They need to go and pick up a safety in a trade piece or in free agency after his performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Guess what? That guy’s your fifth leading tackler filling in for an injured Julian Love. How huge is that from this tackling crew? Then you go to your sack leaders. Again, this defensive line is continuing to get in the backfield every single game. They are almost unblockable at this point in the year. Everyone’s still right around the same mark when it comes to the sack leaders. And these are your top four guys. Luchenna Nuosu, Leonard Williams, Byron Murphy, Demarcus Lawrence, all within a sack and a half of each other. Why? Because they’re unselfish. They’re relentless in their pursuit of getting into the backfield. Not only do they do a great job of getting to the passer, but they also do a great job of stopping the run. This team is built off of a tough-nose defense. When you’ve seen your most success in Seattle, it’s been because you have that strong defense. You are a team that is built to win now, but also to win in the future because you have guys who are bought into the program unselfishly willing to give up opportunities for others or to allow others to make big plays as well. But at the same time, when they get their opportunities to expand, to make big plays, to shine when the lights are the brightest, this team makes sure to do that. Cow herd had more to say, but before we get into that, I want to let you know about the sub battle. Monday was pretty weak for Seahawks today. Titans today, we’re taking them on. I want to beat Chat Sports host Brett Alper. Want to make sure that the Seahawks channel gets more subscribers than the Titans channel. Either way, we’re getting dangerously close to that 76K mark. So, help us beat the Titans. Subscribe to the channel. You don’t want to miss any Seahawks news, as well as we want to beat Brad Alpert. Coward wasn’t done. I mentioned it. He goes on to what the Seahawks would do in a rematch against the LA Rams. But before we get into that, I got to let you know about the fine sponsor of today’s video, and that of course is our good friends over at Prize Picks. The hard-hitting football action is even better with Prize Picks. The weather might be changing, but the feeling of being right never gets old. So, keep the season rolling on Price Picks by getting $50 instantly in lineups when you play your first $5. Price Picks is simple to play. Just pick more or less on any two to six player stat projections. And if your picks are right, you could cash in. Price Picks invented the flex play, which means you can still cash out if your lineup isn’t perfect. You can double your money even if one of your picks doesn’t hit. Price picks is the best way to win cash this football season. Which players are going off? Which ones are overhyped? Take your picks in less than 60 seconds and turn your takes into cash all season long on price picks. I have a three pick power play for this weekend’s action. Cam Ward less on his pass yards. JSN more on his receiving yards. Rasheed Jahed more on his receiving yards as well. Download the app today and use code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That’s code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. Prize picks. It’s good to be right. Cow herd loves the Seahawks in a rematch with the Rams. And I could not agree with him more. I think that if you look at the fine stats, you really comb through what this game was, you’re going to see that the Seahawks wasted a lot of opportunities. Here’s what C cow herd had to say on his show. You get into the octagon with the Seahawks and they’re just bringing massive athleticism. Yeah, that’s a clear point of emphasis for the Seahawks. And they’re going to make mistakes and they’re going to come at you 100 miles an hour again. If Stafford threw four picks, the Rams would lose ugly. Could not agree more, sir. Seattle throws four on the road, gets the ball kicked down to the one inch line, and still almost wins it. Seattle has just so much athleticism and it’s a wildly dynamic team to watch. The last team I want to play in the playoffs would be Seattle. You’d better be prepared for a fight. At this point, man, I could not agree more with Cow Herd. You threw four interceptions on the road. You fought back and despite all adversity, some of which was self-inflicted, all the interceptions, the punt down to the one yard line, you still had your kicker kicking the football, albeit a 61 yard as time expired with a chance to win that football game. After all the penalties, after all the missed throws, after getting in such a hole in that first quarter, you were still there on the road against the team that everyone is saying is the best team in the NFC. and you’re only a game behind him. You’re only one. You’re going to get a rematch against him under the arches. I think the Seahawks are going to take care of business on that Thursday night matchup, but what you need to do is continue to win the rest of the way through. Do you agree with Cow Herd here? Is Cowardd correct on the Seahawks playoff chances? Is he correct on the Seahawks in the rematch? Let me know what you think down below in the comments. Sound off. Hey, who knows? Maybe you’ll even get a response from me. I’ve said it a couple times in videos. I’ve said it a couple times today. This game told me more about the Seahawks than it did the Rams. If the Rams can have a team that gives up four interceptions and they don’t blow them out of the water, that is more of a problem on the Rams than the team that had the interceptions. Do not get me wrong, Sam Darnold clearly has a Los Angeles Rams problem. I don’t know how Clint Kubiaak, I don’t know how Mike McDonald is going to be able to calm him down. My best guess would be run the football a little bit more, but if the Seahawks can get through the Rams, I really like Sam Darnold, and I really like this team. Those onep possession games got to start coming back your way more and more, and I think they will for the Seahawks. So, I warn you now, jump off the bandwagon at your own risk. There were plenty of people that jumped on that joined us that said, “Hey, this Seahawks team, they are special. They can win a lot of football games.” And then one game didn’t go the right way for you and people jumped off. They said, “Ah, Seahawks aren’t as good as they once were.” It’s all a lie. Sam Darnold isn’t special. You’re wrong. Cow herd’s right. Hopefully, I’m right. This Seahawks team, they can win a lot of football games. In fact, I think they can win multiple playoff games as well. Who knows? Maybe we’ll be even partying at the end of February. Make sure that you join the crew, subscribe to the channel, and turn those notifications on. Make sure that you get that bell rung if you want to make sure that you don’t miss any Seattle Seahawks football content. Subscribe, ring the bell, and you’ll make sure to catch all of our videos. Thank you guys so much. I’ll catch you guys next time. [Music]

  1. Most teams that throw 4 picks in a game (happened multiple times to even greats like Brady, Peyton, others) usually get losses by 3 scores. Seattle lost by 2, and had a missed FG chance in the last seconds. The defense is real.

  2. I mean are you surprised I’m not we were doubted when we went to both Superbowls as well I love when they doubt us because it makes proven them wrongs that much more satisfying.

  3. The correct answer is that this question is brain dead there’s a difference between gender sexual orientation and species type we’re not 5 years old different things are in fact different. I know he’s trolling but still

  4. Number one we supposed to be on a rebuild anyway they didn't think we were going to be this good and they counted us out they sleep but we're going to show them 📈

  5. The more I looked at what happened to the game I blame the coaches more than I do Darnold Whether they meant to or not they put him in a position of failure There's no need to be throwing the ball 44 times against that pass rush especially when they were running the ball successfully They act like they're behind by 5 touchdowns the way they play reckless carelessly and that's the coaches fault They put everything on Sam's shoulders There's no need for that especially when you're Winning the battle up front Just plain foolish But then again coaching staff is still a bit green as well as some of the players

  6. Rams may have won, but by 2 points. Seahawks turned it over 4 times and the Rams barely beat us. If anything that just shows that the Seahawks are the better team and we should have won.

  7. We are better then the RAMS and the Hawks know it. Darnold will come out of this and will never play make those decisions again. WE WILL CRUSH the Rams in the next game and it will be a great vindication.

  8. Phil Simms had a lot of great stuff to say about the hawks after our loss to Rams. Said they out played the Rams and that they are one of the top teams in the NFC

  9. Even with 4 turn overs, Seahawks only lost by 2 points to Ram. That was a huge positive sign when played with Ram. Can't wait to see the next matchup.

  10. Im still forever and always a seahawks fan and support thru any kind of season I think that we have tons of potential and especially with us being young we can go a long way for a few years but this year in particular I definitely think that we’re gonna do something good and make everyone realize that we’re here and we’re here for a good while

  11. I don’t agree with Cowherd’s take. He is inadvertently proving that if the QB wasn’t such a bum, Seattle would be unbeaten instead of losing close games.

  12. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the rams have been the 'Hawks kryptonite for a while now. This is one of those weird games where im confident after the loss.

  13. I like to look on the bright side as much as anyone, but having your qb fall apart in the big games is probably the worst flaw a football team could have. We are going to waste a championship worthy team if Sam doesn't step his game up.

  14. I listened to cowherd the other day too, was so happy to hear him say those things. He made comparisons between Darnold and Andrew luck and I agree with what he was saying.
