BIG NEWS For Yankees| What Next?

Some of you might disagree with me, some of you may agree, but the Yankees at the end of the day have freaking egg on their face. They have egg on their face. Trent Gisham just signed accepted the qualifying offer for one year over 22 million. That’s what he did. And the reason why this pisses me off so much, you can’t run back the same team as you did last year and expect different results. We know what that means. That means insanity. That That’s what I’m doing, right? I’m going insane. I don’t h I haven’t shaved my head in like over a week. Look at my hair. Look at my hair. It’s because of this team. They drive me freaking nuts. They stress me out so much. Signing Gisham, bringing back Belly. You’re That’s the same damn thing. Do something a little different. These guys vanished in the playoffs. the team outside of judge vanished and you want to go back and to do it do it the same way as you did last year. Are you serious? I love Belly. I’d have rather have Belly than Gisham any day of the week twice on Sunday. To be honest, I didn’t think Trent was going to accept this. But also, it shouldn’t shock anybody that he did. He had an absolute career year. 34 homers. That’s double his career high. And he had 811 OPS. That’s That’s almost 100 points higher than his career average OPS. 2022 he had a 626 OPS. 2023 666 OPS. 2024 675 OPS. Last year is an anomaly. What if he comes back and he does what he did most recent three years, the three years before 2025? What if he re reverts to that and you’re paying him 22 million? You’re going to use that 22 million as an excuse not to go out and get a Tucker and Belly. Now it’s just I think guys, honestly, I think it’s just belly and that’s it. I really do. I think it’s belly and that’s it. And that’s a problem because you’re rolling the same team. You’re rolling the same exact team out there. Same exact team that got their asses whipped in the playoffs. Same exact team, barely beat the Red Sox, won one game against the Blue Jays. You think this team just magically going to hit being another year older, too? This team just magically is going to hit the playoffs? I mean, I freaking hope so. According to John Haymon, Gisham doesn’t affect the pursuit of Cody Bellinger. Well, guess what, guys? Bellinger’s market just doesn’t consist of just the Yankees. Dodgers want him. Mets want them. Blue Jays want them. Teams want this guy. He has one heck of a market. And good for Belly. But are the Yankees going to overpay for him? Do you foresee the Yankees overpaying for Bellinger? I don’t know. But then if you bring back Belly and you’re bringing back Gisham regardless now. It’s the same team as LA. I wanted a little bit of a change. You’re not going to have that. There won’t be a change. I wanted a little bit of a change, man. A little bit to that lineup. Add some more pop to that lineup. It went away in the playoffs. It absolutely went away in the playoffs. I wanted to see even Belly and and maybe if you could add Okamoto and Belly and even if you want to add a big starting pitcher and MI now that 22 million is going to Gisham. Are you not going to spend as much as we hoped you would spend? Is like does the buck stop at Cody and that’s it? You’re done as you’re rolling back the same. And Gisham regressed defensively. 111 defensive runs saved. Negative -2 outs above average. He regret. So you’re bringing back this center fielder who I would think I know what Cashman said. Like you don’t have to go down the comments and tell me. I know what he said. But truthfully, I did not think the Yankees expected him to take the qualifying offer. And good for him. Good for him. But the Yankees rolling back the same exact lineup as last year. In my opinion, I don’t think that’s the way to go. And if you bring back Belly, I’m going to say this. Trade both Spencer Jones and Dominguez. Let them play every day somewhere else. Trade them both. Do them both a favor. They’re not seeing any play any playing time here now. Oh, Bellinger plays first base. Yeah, I know he does. He played 26 innings last year at first base. Any playing time for Spencer Jones and Dominguez went out the window. Now if you bring back Belly, but if you don’t bring back Belly, you have the inferior player and Trent Gisham. The heck Yankees. It’s just unbelie Man. It’s unbelievable how they could do this. how they can make you feel it. Just they make you feel like you’re you’re you’re insane. And there’s other Yankee fans who make you feel that way, too, because they’re so freaking whipped. This organization has them whipped. Like the relationship type whipped. When you’re when when when you’re in love with this girl and you’re like, “Oh my gosh, she’s so beautiful. She’s so pretty.” And it’s like, “Bro, like she she she doesn’t brush her teeth.” And it’s like, “But she’s gorgeous.” and and and and and she she Oh, wait. Now she needs me to rub her feet and I’m just going to go rub her feet cuz I love her so much. You’re wet. She treats you like crap. She doesn’t brush her teeth. She breathes in your face with stanky breath. You’re wet. That’s That’s what Yankee some Yankee fans are. They’re whipped. This organization has them whipped. Some people think that that this organization can’t do wrong. And you know what? They could do wrong. They can. They’re not exempt from doing wrong. This was wrong. This was the wrong wrong thing to happen cuz of course you’d rather Bellinger. Of course you’d rather Bellinger. And guess what? Gisham had the offer. Had the $22 million offer and he took it. He He would have been an idiot not to take it. I don’t even think Gisham made 22 million throughout his career. His batting averages previous three seasons 22 to 24, 184, 198, 190. Last year was such a breakout season for him. Do you expect him to do that again? He may come back down to earth and be that kind of player. He was that kind of player in the postseason. He went away. It’s what he did. He went away. It sucks. And he’s back. He’s back. So, good job. You bring back Gisham. You bring back Belly. Belly has one heck of a market. Dodgers, Mets, Blue Jays in on them. You bring back Gisham and you’re running the same damn team back. Just freaking un unbelievable. Unre I just can’t I don’t even know what to say. Like I completely exposed myself. Like you know I got to shave my head. I get it. What next for this team? I don’t know. I really don’t know. We’re going to have to look at it in a positive way, in an optimistic way, right? I guess.

Trent Grisham is back with the Yankees. He accepted a qualifying offer. Does this mean the Yankees are out on Kyle Tucker? Let me know what you think.

  1. If they don’t do anything this offseason I’m out as a Yankees fan, they clearly don’t care abt winning and nothing ever changes

  2. Spot on. Exactly same feelings. Screwing the rookies and now tied up way too much for Grisham. Only thing that could make this okay if the yankees just go full on dodgers or mets in spending for this year. Oh, we need some right handed hitters and another top starter.

  3. It does not mean insanity because I had two mentally ill family members. One is still mentally ill and the other was killed because of it. Those people or group in the sports business are being persistent not in mental illness, which one kind is insanity.

  4. Agree! They keep doing the same thing over and over. I wanted Belli but not Grisham at over 22 million. They need to upgrade shortstop and third. They need a couple contact hitters like Toronto had to advance in the playoffs. I wanted kwan ,Belli and Judge in the outfield.

  5. Cashman keeps costing the team money yet Hal won't remove him for whatever reason. Hicks, DJ, Stroman are just some other recent examples of poor decisions made by Cashman.

  6. Team chemistry is the key here and we didn’t have our best pitcher at all but we need Donny baseball to be the manager instead of Arron slump in the middle of the season every year

  7. You want Paul Skenes? This may be the road. You want a top infielder at 3rd or SS? This may be the road. Besides, an outfield of Belli, Grish, and Judge isn't the end of the world. Don't forget Jazz isn't going to sign here long term, hopefully. Obviously they don't feel Jones in center is an option. I get it, he's a strikeout machine. This opens the door to interesting trades, in lieu of FA signings.

  8. I said it before, they were IDIOTS for making him that DAMN OFFER!!!! WHAT LOSERS! They are blocking Dominquez and Jones. LOSERS! LOSERS! He is a 1 hit wonder, he aint gonna be Sh*% this year!

  9. They're paying McMahon almost 20 mil to hit .220 as well. They've got several automatic outs in the lineup. The offense has been the Yankees problem for 10 years

  10. Fire Cashman . 1st Grisham not worth 22 million 2nd impedes development of a faster higher average Dominguez and Spencer Jones. 3rd they lose a minor league prospect by rule draft 5 because of the 40 man roster not gain one because they lose free agent, stupid. Dominguez natural position in center . Should have given him a full chance instead favor a fourth outfielder

  11. They will not be running back the same team. Cole is back. 2025 was a great roster. Should have had Volpe sit a little in playoffs. Roster was excellent. Maybe needed more power in pen

  12. Love the show but need to disagree. Exactly what yanks wanted going into strike. If Hal had Judge take a club friendly contract to save money and not drop in to the teams salary sell the team you cheap pos. Owe it to the captain to go all out for the next 5 years and get him a ring.
Now this sets up solid trade options to obtain keys pieces

  13. The Yankees should consider trading Judge [ best player in baseball] .They could get an enormous haul and Judge could go to a team and have a chance at winning a World Series. This would be beneficial to both parties plus the Yankees would still make lots of money which they are all about.Just a thought .Go Yankees
