Will Riley is back with the Wizards. Yesterday, Will Dawkins said they sent him to the Go-Go to see him get reps as a playmaker.
Now that he's back for the time being, there's no reason he shouldn't be getting minutes.
Will Riley Needs Minutes if he’s on the NBA Roster

Would love to see it! He’s one of those guys who probably can’t get to start level until year 4. But I hope we hold onto him, he’s a Dawkins draft pick and I trust the process.
My take has been that Will is going to have a lot of DNP:Weight Room this year, but we have seen a great deal of success from the strength and conditioning staff with Kyshawn and Sarr (and Bub to a lesser extent) so I am looking forward to seeing where Will is in 12 months.
I agree, but *realistically* whose minutes does he take? I know some people are going to say “sit Khris and Corey, we already know what they provide!” Well, sure… but you’re not sitting two vets who have established themselves as **NBA starters/rotation players**(who are also potential trade chips) over your rookie who was drafted at the end of the first round, to go out there and learn on the fly. We want that to happen, but it’s not how NBA teams operate… not in November it isn’t.
My guess is that he was brought back up because we’ve been getting absolutely throttled the last several games. So if we’re down by 30 with 9 minutes left to play, he’ll be getting his run. No it’s not a lot, but at the end of the day they’re NBA minutes.
Him and Tre got drafted a year too late. If they were our rooks on last year’s team, they’d each be getting 27mpg and Tre would be getting up 15+ shots a game.
I think he’ gonna be another stud. Just needs time just like Tre. He will fill out and get stronger. Go back and look at vids of SGA as a Clipper. Dude was TINY lol.
