So, please subscribe or you’re going to make oo cry. Oo, got some bad news. According to Adam Shaper, Michael Penn suffered a partially torn ACL in Sunday’s game in his loss against the Panthers. Pennix is seeking a second opin opinion, but this is not encouraging. This is expected to be the fifth season ending injury for Penn in his eight college and NFL seasons and his third ACL. He tore his ACL in 2020. I mean, excuse me, in 2018, 2020, and now he has a partially torn ACL in 2025. Damn, wait. So, so out of eight years, he’ been He’s been injured five of the eight. Yep. college including season ending because one year I think he had a a shoulder injury. Yes. I think when he was at Indiana if I’m not I might I might be wrong. I could be wrong but I think when he was at Indiana before he went to Washington Y that sucks man. That that that that totally sucks. That that totally sucks. I I hate that. I hate that for him. Um, obviously they weren’t having the season, you know, they they would want to have, but I think obviously the growing pains and and being a rookie with it being, you know, your first time starting and getting the full reps, um, getting accustomed to how the game flows and how it goes and and, you know, the ups and downs of of of of being the starting quarterback for a franchise, you need those reps. You need those reps. And I’m I’m sure after this season ended, he would have been much better. Yes. being familiar with everything, the system, the play calling, the the team, just just everything together. Um, damn, that that that that totally sucks be for him to have a season in an injury and be behind a ball. And at that point, anything ACL, there’s no need for a second opinion. There’s no need for a second opinion. go in there, get the work that needs to be done so you can get back that much faster going into the following year, which you have in what, six, six, seven maybe you got about got a good got a good six, seven. Yeah. I mean you I mean look this November. So you have the surgery. So you got December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August. That’s nine months. Yeah. You know, that’s plenty time. That’s Is it Is it the same Is it the same leg? Is it the same knee? I just hope he can have a career like Thomas Davis. Thomas Davis tore his ACL three times and came back to be an all-world linebacker for the Carolina Panthers. So, let’s just hope if it’s a situation like that because he ended up having a very promising NFL career after tearing his ACL as many times as he did. Damn, man. That’s that’s some some Drake London got hurt as well. I I saw something with Drake. Yeah, he’s gonna be I think he’s gonna be out at least this week. Damn, man. Like these injuries, dude. I’m um the Falcons dropped the quarterback at the top 10, paid a different quarterback 180 million to avoid being in quarterback purgatory. Somehow they a year and a half later, they’re in quarterback purgatory. Uh Raheem Morris after drafting Michael Pennings Jr. at number eight. We’re talking about winning the NFC South and going to the playoffs. We don’t want to be picking that high anymore. We don’t want to be in that position. That helped us make this decision. say things to say that they’re not going as way they’re not going as well as they hoped. It didn’t make sense to me. Yeah. That you that you pay Cousins that kind of money coming off the injury that he had and still sign a quarterback. Yeah. A quarterback with I get it, Oo. But he still had an injury history. Yeah. And then I mean, think about it. You think I I it’s hard for me to see a scenario where they would select any other player at any other position that’s coming off that that’s his career would have been ended like four times before coming to the NFL. So let that sink in. So let’s just say he had five years and four of those years his his seasons ended with a season ending injury. You’re probably not going in the top 10. Damn. But also but I just hope he like I said I hope he can have a Thomas Davis type. Yeah. Uh cuz Thomas ended up going to Pro Bowls and helping the team get to the Super Bowl. Uh but it’s tough. I I I can just imagine um rehab all over again. Oo. And the thing is when you rehab, you can’t train. No, you rehab. You just hoping to get back to a point where you have functionality. Training is where you put your body into a situation where a you can call on it and you know it’ll answer. He don’t get to do that. You got to you got to rehab. Yeah. That ain’t what you do with rehab. Rehab just gets you back to where you were. I’m trying to get farther than where I was, where where I was. It’s I I mean, I feel I feel bad for the young man. I hate injuries, dude. Because I understand how much it sets it sets players back, especially when you want to improve yeartoear. Yeah. The season ends, you want to improve in your game. you want to add new things to your game, you know, to be able to help not just help you out, but help your coaches, help your players, because the better you come back from a skill set is the easier you make everyone else in job around you. That’s that’s that’s what I always thought about. How can I make everyone else job around me? All right. When we have a game, when we have a game or we got an offensive plan, Carson, you don’t have to worry about me. Bob Rowski, Marvin Lewis, you don’t have to worry about me. Now, just focus on the other 10. Offensively, you already know I’m gonna be there for you no matter what you need. No matter what you need. So, I I always try to put that mindset in the players when you get in season. That’s just coaching. That’s just exiting nose. You’re not getting any better in season. No, you put it’s going to be hard for you to maintain your strength. Bingo. Because guess what, Oo? Your shoulders hurt, your hips hurt, your joints hurt. It’s hard for you to get up under that weight and squat and and do leg press and bench. I mean, you you know, you do it as long as you can, but some days, hey, my elbows just hurt. My shoulders hurt. I can’t get up under that heavy ass weight and press it. Yeah. Hey, you get the the bulky of work, the meat and potatoes of you getting better as a player. No, from a skill point is the offseason. That’s why the off is so important. That’s why taking the time off that’s necessary when the season ends before you get into that work. I’m telling you. Hey receivers, come on. Come on down here. Holl at your boy. You know, all these injuries, I I can stop all these injuries. Listen to me. Everybody like to laugh and he he and haha. Yeah. All right. Oo, the Falcons do not have a first round pick. That first round pick belongs to the Rams. The Rams and Minnesota. The Rams. Okay. They didn’t give up anything for Cousins. cousin was a free agent. Oh That’s right. That’s right. You’re right. You’re right. But I think about it, Oo. Name another position. A guy comes off an Achilles injury after his 11th 12th year in the league, right? And gets that kind of contract. Name a position other than a quarterback. No, there there is none because they understand how valuable the quarterback position is. That’s why you take a chance. You understand it’s hard to get quarterbacks that have put up the numbers that Kirk Cousins has put up even though he only had one playoff win. It’s extremely difficult. Extremely difficult. That’s why taking him a chance on a player like Kurt Kurt Cousins, despite his history, you know, and not making a playoff despite the injury coming off an Achilles. Okay. You know what? Well, he’s not a dual threat quarterback anyway. You know, once that Achilles heals up, he can be able to do what he what he normally does as a functioning quarterback. He’s a wheeling and dealing quarterback. Yeah. Just he will he’s a he’s surgical with the ball. He just is. That’s him. we gonna take a chance and we gonna give him that kind of money. And then also the type of type of player, type of person he is. He’s a high character guy, you know. You know, so you you’re willing to take that the way take that chance. You’re willing to to to make that investment. This is not no hindsight, but I told you at the time I said, “Oh, just contract just doesn’t make sense to me to guarantee that type of money.” Yeah. for a guy uh that now if that’s Tom Brady, that’s Pton Manning type, okay, I get it. They’re certified. You know, they they they they’re approved. But for a guy that hadn’t had postseason success and and and and he’s had coming off an Achilles injury and he’s not mobile to begin with, he’s going to be less mobile. Yeah. It didn’t make sense to me. And then you go draft a quarterback. If that was the case, why not? Why just save that money? Oo, and just go get you a quarterback. If that’s the if that was the route you wanted to take, you got to think about it, huh? Where they going to get one from? Where where you going in the draft? Like they went and got Pennix from? Oh yeah. Hey, listen. You understand how difficult it is to find a a franchise altering quarterback? You understand how different that is? So yeah, because franchise altering. No, but he he can he he can help you compete week to week. He can help you compete. Look at look at look at what’s going on right now and some of the teams that have been struggling for years to actually find a good decent quarterback because you know once you get one just let him be let’s just let him be good. Just be they took they took Atlanta in 2021 draft they took Kyle Pittz number four. Guess who went number five that year? Who? Jamar Chase. Oh yeah. distance. Jaylen Wadd went six, Pane Su went seventh, JC Horn went eight, Patad the second went nine, Devonte Smith went 10. All eight. Michael Michael went 12. Rashawn Slater went 13. I mean, if you take a tight end that high, you got to use him. But when they do use you, Kyle, you’re going to have to catch the ball now. Mhm. And it’s and I I know his problem because he gets the ball so infrequently. He’s trying to hit his head on the goal post every time he gets the ball because he’s like, I don’t know when I’m gonna get another chance. And he get and and I’ve never seen somebody score without the ball. You got to c you you got to catch it. Yeah. And I know, like I said, I I understand the frustration of of of this mobi because, you know, he came on and told us, hey, the the chemistry that he and and and Pennix uh uh had. Yeah. It they were they were talking Pennix was talking about it in in camp and he was talking about he came on night camp and talked about it. Damn. And I don’t know. Give me the coaches that were hired. Oh, they interviewed they interviewed Jim Harbaugh. The Falcons interviewed Jim Harbaugh. Yeah. They said no. They interviewed Mike Vrabel. They said no. They interviewed Mike McDonald. They said no. I think they interviewed Ben Johnson. They said no. I’m happy Raheem got the job, but Mr. Blank probably like, damn. Hey, you got to you got to work with what you got. You got to work with what you got. Uh, I just Well, he did a good job passing on some of them. Uh oh. Joe, he gonna have to get it together, man. Yeah. Yeah. Cuz I I Look, they’re getting restless. They’re getting restless in Atlanta. Hey, them them players got to help you out, man. They do. And players and players got to help you out. You know, listen, the old the old ad is players will get you fired. Yeah, they will get you fired. They can get you fired and fired. Yeah, man. I feel for Raheem, man. Damn. I just thought this was going to be Hopefully turn it around. Oh, yeah. And Coach Bellich, man. Man, y’all saw Coach Bellich. The guy took his hat off. Yeah. We gonna talk about that. Oo, did you see that? Yeah, I saw it, man. Bill, the coach took his hat off the shake and you can’t even look the man in his eye. Oo, hey, Bill do everybody like that though. So, he can’t he can’t feel bad. You look at you look at Bill at the end of Patriots games and he keep it moving. He making a be line. It’s different. Oo, this college you setting an example. You ain’t set no example in no because he’s done this. Now, think about how many times in the AFC Championship game that a uh uh Tony Dunie or a Bill Cow or a Rex Ryan has had to come out there and talk to CBS. This is this is really what rubbed me the wrong way. And I think Coach Bellich is the greatest NFL coach ever. Absolutely. But this is what rubbed me the wrong way is that the rules don’t apply to him. And the NFL has let this behavior go on. But let a player don’t want to do the media and says, “You know what? I don’t want to do the media day. I’mma let Oo go do it.” Yeah. They gonna do they gonna dock me money, right? But he’s supposed to do it. And he sent some special teams guy out there. Some backup lineman we ain’t ain’t nobody ever heard of him but his family. Mhm. That’s what rubbed me the wrong way. That man took his hat off to shake your hand and then you like like basically give him your butt to that that’s that’s that’s always rubbed me the wrong way about him. Yeah. It always have and and and two things can be true. He can be great and be a jackass at the same time. Yeah. And he’s always And that bothers me. You heard me. Huh? He’s always been this way and and he not changing. That’s the funny part. Well, I’m in the NFL. This is the way I conduct myself. Oh, now I’m in college. This is the way I conduct myself. And I’m not changed by anybody. I’m not. And I think I think the thing is Yes, sir. Yeah. When you winning, when you don’t win and you give people your job, your butt to kiss and they’re in position to hire you, what do they do, oo? They’re like, “Okay, next.” Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That’s true. [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey.

Raheem Morris did get his wish, they won't be picking in the top 10 this coming draft….rams will be 😅
Falcons fans like me didn’t know how good we had it with Michael Vick and Matt Ryan. Please draft a #1 Draft Pick at QB, and start over!
2:05 🤣
Shaduer in ATL would be a perfect fit, maybe they should think about making a trade going into next year.
2:10 6 7
He wasnt the guy anyway. Way too many bad habits
I said at the time trading up to draft a pass rusher who is bad against the run and giving up a first was a horrible choice. They should have just waited a year to get another edge or sign one in free agency this year. Horrible front office decision with James Pearce.
If memory serves me correctly wasn't Justin Fields in that draft as well???
Man another year we couldn’t put it together ATL all we need a is QB literally and we will win it all
Unc getting annoying with the over talking people let yo co-host talk to got damn
Dam man I want to see him do so well I hope they don’t give up on him

Fire the GM
This draft class was brittle as hell
And the rams have our 1st rd pick
Shaduer here we come
Penix getting a second opinion, was just him not wanting to accept the reality that he reinjured his knee. You can't blame him. Given his history with knee injuries, I doubt he plays in 2026
