1. Good points about the Pats nickel defense, I might ask the Catch 22 guys how they think it could be better sured up

3. Fatal flaw is 100% the pass defense. A close second is lack of depth at the receiver position. They can't depend on Diggs to bail them out on 3rd and long all the time

4. Their fatal flaw is that they are frauds masked through a very weak schedule. Any competent team can have the same record as the Pats with that schedule. When majority of your wins comes from bottom feeders, all it says is that your team is a first round exit

6. Idk what Mina is looking at. Pats have been elite with the whole secondary together.(Gonzalez and Hawkins). First two weeks they allowed over 300 yards each to Tua and Geno, since that Really only garbage time scores have dented the Pats. Can’t tell you how many 3rd and 4th down pass breakups I’ve seen this year. Drake London had like 4 Randy Moss esque catches in that game. I’d like to see that again in cold weather when it matters.

8. Pats fan here. Mina is spot on, as usual. Dan has the numbers right, and would be right to be concerned, but the Pats haven't had to get out of Nickel against the opponents they've faced. Nobody has had that double tight-end attack, and the run defense has been stout, against some pretty good backs too. Vrabel knows what works, and when the challenge changes, the defense will change with it.

   Mina's got it right – the lack of a solid pass rush, particularly 4-man pressure, is a ticking time bomb. Unless we tighten that up, we're in for a rough ride.

10. The middle of the Pats D line is a massive strength. That's why they can stay nickel and be the top run D they are. Experience is so overrated. Drake is the best QB in the league vs. late D rotation and vs. the blitz. The Pats pass D is a strength when healthy. The pass rush is even underrated. Rarely gets quick pressure, but usually gets home without getting late in the down and contains really well. (Fields was the worst contain of the season though.) D also improves as the game goes on.

11. Christian Gonzalez is a top 2 CB in football – definitely not struggling in man coverage. CD3 has been average but definitely not struggling.

12. Pass rush for sure, especially with Milton Williams out. The secondary isn't as concerning, but it does seem either Gonzalez, Davis, or Marcus Jones has at least one busted coverage every game. Dan's nickel take is a little overstated; the run defense is near the top so far. If it becomes an issue, I'm sure the staff is smart enough to make the adjustment.

13. Tom Brady was not a liability in his 2nd season. He won the Superbowl.

14. My biggest concern would be depth. We don't have a lot of players who can fill in when there are injuries. We have numbers, but not necessarily the ability that say, a Milton Williams has.

15. Normally you're extremely good mina but here you're just dead wrong the Pass defense is great on obvious passing downs and in man they're just not always running it, never disrespect Gonzo. Also what the fuck is Dan talking about do they watch anything beyond Maye's big plays? God just awful they don't play that much nickel.

16. I’m a Patriots fan and I’d say these are fair assessments. Most Patriots fans are so insecure and sensitive that they can’t take any criticism, but it’s year one of our rebuild and while we’re ahead of schedule, that doesn’t mean we’re infallible. Got a bright future tho.

    Mina are just basing everything on numbers. The Pats' AIR defense is middle of the pack BECAUSE opposing teams have to throw as much as the Pats have the best run defense.
