Haven’t watched All22 yet but he’s been very solid in run support/blitz packages. Need to see more in coverage, with the caveat that he missed camp and first chunk of the season.
Only reason he fell to the third was because of the ACL injury. We got a stud.
Need WAY more of this and way less of “is our rookie QB gonna be good ever???”
Because he’s doing what he’s told? Not a single clip of these was him tackling solo in the open field, or breaking up a pass downfield, or anything a DB does really. I don’t understand what the point of this is
This is the kind of athleticism we need from our rookies. Physical, tough and fast
He is explosive as hell and i expect him to move even better next year, idk how much the coaching staff had to do with this years draft but another one of these drafts with extra picks from a trade back could be dangerous
Great pass rush and run fit reps. Curious to see more coverage snaps.
But, good news, he had been ramping up, and Sunday was his first game playing every snap on defense. Looking forward to seeing more of that the rest of the season. Glad that he’s off to a good start. And very glad/hopeful that we’ll get to see a lot of him down the stretch. Could easily be a core piece of the secondary for years to come.
Nice tackling. He seems to react very quickly to play actions once he sees whether the ball is handed off or not. I’d like to see some of his coverages too, though.
Turns on film:
“Kyle Hamilton looks like a beast”.
Puts on glasses:
“OH shit, thats KWJ!”.
Pretty raw against the pass, but has fantastic instincts when he plays downhill and good size and length for the position. We really need him to lock down a starting safety spot for years, especially since Amani Hooker’s play seems to have fallen off a cliff this season.
Dawg alert
a GUY that titans trade for a bag of Doritos
Definitely a stud. We need to find more gems like this in the draft next year so we can be competitive.
God I hope so. Looking for a Byard-like jump from him heading into Year 2
Love it
This rookie class bout to change the culture
I feel like he’s taking advantage of his opportunity to play whether he’s with us or not so that’s cool to see someone on defense playing hard.
See ball. Get ball.
Titans / PSU fan here (yes, terrible and confusing 🤣). He was truly our rock in the secondary till he got hurt. Super excited to see what he can do now healthy.
He was projected as an early to mid 1st round pick until the ACL injury. The absolute poster child for what to do with a 3rd rd pick on a rebuilding team. VERY impressed with our last draft.
Maybe crazy but he kind of reminds me of a safety version of LeBron Bell. Half the time he just sits there for a split second to analyze then makes a lightning fast move to disrupt the play. I think he’ll be a super viable starter for us, especially next year once he gets back to full health.
His positioning on all these clips is really impressive, it looks like he always knows where to go to make the tackle which is rare for a rookie.
Feels like we got a steal for a 3rd Rounder. Really excited to see how he looks down the stretch this season.
We always have good safeties
Simmons, Sweat, Key, Winston, and Joseph-Day are all really solid players. I don’t want to see them leave anytime soon.. the thing about our defense is, we’ve got a pretty solid foundation of players (except for the CB and Edge room lol might as well be fucking empty) we just need depth.. Dennard Wilson seems to atleast be competent, seems like the players really like him but as a whole I don’t think the defense is gonna be as big a task to fix as our offense.. I really think we should fill edge and cb to the best of our ability through the draft but I feel like the offense is much more of a pressing issue. I really want Borg to attack the offensive needs come draft day.
I noticed him everywhere in the game and but never in coverage which is all you can ask for a safety.
You can tell he has that “WANT” to hit. If you know what I mean. You can see it in his pursuit to the ball carrier
