Indianapolis Colts vs Kansas City Chiefs | Week 12 Game Preview
Indianapolis Colts take to the road after taking a week off. They’ve won five of their last six, still in the hunt for that number one seed in the AFC. Get to test just how good they are as they travel to Kansas City who have work to do after falling to an even five and five. Lutz in the clutch and the Broncos have won it. This is unfamiliar territory for Patrick Mahomes. He’s never had a 500 record this deep into a season in his career. They’re on a two-game losing streak. Offense unable to hit 22 on the scoreboard in both losses. Momes unable to top an 80 rate in either ints in both. And throws intercepted by a change of possession it is as the Broncos come up with the interception. The common denominator in both games facing a defense holding teams to 21 or fewer points when they met. Facing a secondary top 10 in rating allowed with a pass rush that can bother a quarterback on the regular. Indianapolis’s defense holding teams under 21 a game. So check if you’re a shoes fan. Haven’t been great on third down or in the red zone, but they’ve made up for it with 14 takeaways. Beats the play clock gets hit hard from the backside. That ball is out and the Colts have it. Mahomes faces a secondary with 10 INTs holding quarterbacks to less than seven yards per attempt to a sub 90 rate top 10 good. So check number two and that was all built without sauce only tougher now with Gardner in the fold. Sauce Gardner nearly had his first big impact play as a Colt and Indy’s pass rush top 10 in sacks and quarterback hits. So they check all the boxes. Liatu Lu leaves them with five bags. scanning the bucket and he is driven down. A sack for the Colts. Mahomes took three sacks to Denver’s top ranked pass rush. He’s been dropped three times three games in a row. Here comes the blitz and they got him back at the 14. Another huge play in this game. He didn’t face as much pressure as he did versus Buffalo. He got left tackle Josh Simmons back. Josh Smith would have been a debacle on the blind side. Real ones get it. Mahomes threw for 276 yards versus Denver. Xavier Worthy 25 yds. Rasheed Rice nine targets only 38 yards. Hollywood Brown 40 yards. Pass caught by Brown. Great job by Brown to stay focused. He connected with Taekquin Thornton for a 61yd pass. He’s the long ball guy. Holmes going to launch it long. One-on-one coverage and Thornton makes the catch and Oilia with 91 yardds and a touchdown. Travis Kelce’s second 90 plus yard game in his last three outings. Breaking the tackles. Kelsey and Travis takes it to the end zone. What an effort by Travis Kelce. Kareem Hunt, the handoff guy. 59 yds, 4.5 a carry versus Denver. 4.4 or better, four straight. They’re going to ride him. Says strength. It’s Hunt driving. Touchdown. Indie has also been tough on runners, holding them to 4.1 a run for the year. Robinson and he gets tripped up right near the line of scrimmage. Good play. And then there’s the matter of the Indie Oase. Well known at this point in the season. Colts offense, the big man on campus this year. Number one scoring offense. 29 plus points. Eight of 10 games. Right back to Taylor with Warren blocking. Touchdown Taylor. The only two times they didn’t score 29 plus their two losses where they were held to 20 points. Both those games the only two Daniel Jones didn’t have a 100 plus rating. Rest of the time he’s played at an allpro level, 265 yards per game, a 101 rate, 15 TDs against seven INTs. Jones looking deep down the field and it is caught. The other challenge to slowing Indianapolis down, of course, Jonathan Taylor who’s trying to pull in the MVP award from the running back spot. Last time it happened 2012 AP JT with over,00 yardds leads the league in TDs with 15 six yards per carry. Also best in the biz and he busts away from the pack for plenty more. Jonathan Taylor. There he goes. The KC defense he throws bows with held RJ Harvey a second string type to 2.7 per carry. Held Denver who didn’t have JK Dobbins to 59 yards on the ground total. They’ve been solid enough against the run in the big picture, holding running backs and quarterbacks just below the league average. Here they toss it. Harvey trying to get away from Carlus and he’s going to lose a yard on this occasion. The defense Indie scrapping with held Denver to 22 points held the Broncos to one for five inside the 20. Fewer than 23 points allowed in four of their last five. To try to get it up top. Here’s Nicks pressure and he’s taken down. The Chiefs secondary Jones is eyeing did give up 295 yards to Bo Nicks who had been scuffling ahead of their game against him. Their play versus Knicks fitting more or less how they’ve played the past this year. The tattoo artist might call them one of the secondaries in the NFL. Going for a big throw and the Broncos are set up now to win the game. They only came up with two Knicks sacks on 37 pass attempts. They are a two bag a game outfit for the year, so average country. Jones has the temple of doom protecting him. 21 sacks taken over 10 games. Plenty respectable being they’ve thrown as often as they have. Jones waits, throws, and he drops it in the bucket. Kansas City’s DBs last week gave up 84 yards to Troy Franklin, 82 to Pat Bryant, 59 to Courtland Sutton. To stop Indiana Jones, KC has to stop his sidekicks. Got short round Alec Pierce leads them in yards per game at 73 per adventure. Jones takes a shot into double coverage. Pierce leaping for the touchdown. Michael Pitman, the vet, so call him Henry Jones. Leads the team in receiving touchdowns with six 58 yards per contest. Time touch pass. He’s got a man. Pitman touchdown. Josh DS 35 yards per game, four TDs, and rookie tight end Tyler Warren has to be solid, right? Over 60 yards per contest, averaging five catches a game. Yeah, there you go. Tyler Warren is in for a Colts touchdown. Kansas City with 10 penalties last week. I mean, Denver had 10, too, for way more yards, but Sarah Lynn would tell you 10 flags is too much, man. Hey, hey, take your helmet off. Give it to me. 28 Chiefs Colts bouts since 1970. Colts up 18 to10. Five playoff throwdowns. I know, I know. There was that crazy Andrew Luck 2013 wildcard game, but everyone knows everything about that one. How about their first postseason meeting between them in 1995? Same victor, different path to victory. The wind chill was -9° when the Colts blew into Kansas City to take on the team with the NFL’s best record. The offensive line held firm against one of the league’s top defenses. The Colts erased a seven to nothing deficit when Harbaugh and Floyd Turner teamed up for a touchdown. Throw Harbaugh in the shotgun. He throws to the corner. Turner’s got a touchdown. Floyd Turner. I don’t think we I don’t think we need ice in the water today. But with 37 seconds left to play, Indianapolis would be reminded that it helps to be lucky as well as good. It’s wide left the Colts are going to the AFC Championship game.

Awesome game!!!
Chiefs 23 – 22
Colts 60 Chiefs 0
WHY ISNT THIS PRIMETIME NFL!!!???
31 chiefs
23 colts
I'm taking the Colts in this one but I doubt they're getting the 1 seed in the playoffs. The Colts still have to play the Jags twice the Seahawks and the 49ers. The Chiefs can't beat the good teams this season (except the Lions). Colts 26 Chiefs 20.
”FINISH THEM!!!” – Broncos Nation
Great test for the Colts. Good to know where you stand against a good, desperate team. Jacksonville and Houston are playing good defense, so the Colts offense will need to come off this bye week ready to go.
Chiefs fans love all the hate we're getting – just means these other fan bases haven't tasted winning in soooo long. Keep it coming please – it exposes your jealousy and gives us the daily dose of humor we need
Chiefs are going to be playing in playoffs mode.
Colts r gonna win. No one wants the chiefs in the playoffs.
I don’t think the chiefs will lose 2 games in a row so give me the chiefs by 3 points
Kansas City chiefs 30
Indianapolis Colts 27
IND 44 KC 17
Daniel Jones 224 YDS
3 TDs
Mahomes 124 YDS 1 TD 3 INTS
Tyler Warren 2 TDs
Daniel Jones>Mahomes
Colts are a PROBLEM. Chiefs picked a bad game to put the entire season on.
Pat McAfee is gonna punt Taylor Swift into the moon
Pat McAfee Vs Taylor Swift who win McAfee wins
Can’t believe I’m saying this as a broncos fan, but go cheifs
Colts win 38-22😊
Average picks come out to 26-25 Chiefs. Six picked the Chiefs, four picked the Colts. Switch just one 27-24 pick to the Colts and it's about as even as you can get.
Patrick Mahomes sat at his locker in full uniform for a long time after losing to the Broncos. Losing to the Bills then Broncos after a bye then facing the Colts to me gives the Colts a great psychological advantage. It's even more significant because the Chiefs haven't had a 5-5 record and under such pressure. Playing in KC will because their fans are loud and they know how each loss takes them further and further out of playoff contention. Favoring the Chiefs at 3.5 is not good for them. It adds pressure which was evident in Denver. I've never seen Andy Reid look so lost and dazed. If the Colts were favored (which I think they should be), it would help them play with a "nothing to lose" attitude which helped the Broncos. The Chiefs defense struggled at times last week. Indianapolis is hungry, the Chiefs are staggering. Colts 31-26
bro how are we still the favorites like yall are delusional
Y’all smoking 🪨s if you think KC not going to bowl dis year 🎂 🚶🏾➡️from here on out 😂😂👍🏾
This is it for the Chiefs. They are in Playoff mode from here on out.
As a Broncos fan, i wanna see the Colts beat the Chiefs, so they can be 5-6, but at the same time I want the Chiefs to win so we can get that number 1 seed, and 1st round bye
Come on the Colts the world rejoices when the Chiefs lose 😂😂
Im taking the Colts 31 to 20. The chiefs dynasty is over 😮😢😢😢😢
The no.#1 game of the week. Hands down. Without a doubt. Here's why. This is absolutely a must win, no if's ands or buts for the Chiefs. It is almost unfathomable what we could be witnessing the next few weeks. The Chiefs could miss the playoffs for the 1st time in the Mahomes era. Prevailing in those close contest last year seemed like a sure thing. But this year's Chiefs team looks like a different team. They still have Andy Reid and Mahomes, but they struggle on the road and get too many penalties. The Chiefs are still not like any other team. They still have the answer. Mahomes. But they will be facing the NFL's most surprising team in 2025. The Colts. Who wants to prove they are legit. Who have the fewest punts. It looks like the only thing that could hold the Colts back is Daniel Jones. Hopefully the Clock doesn't strike and he turns back into a pumpkin. Are the Chiefs the best 500 team we 've ever seen. They're gonna need to be their best to beat the Colts. Get your popcorn ready !!!
As a Bronco fan, i dont know who i want to win. If colts win, the chiefs are done for the season. If chiefs win. It gives my broncos #1 Seed.
Chavarius ward ,Sauce , K-Mo , Jaylon Jones, Mekhi Blackmon, Cam Bynum, Nick cross might be the best Secondary in The League!!
