  1. For the Walleye game, try any of these spots in downtown Toledo for dinner/lunch: Adams Street Cafe, Souk, Kato Ramen, Papa Kato.

  2. Detroiter Bar for my favorite dive bar vibe and good food.

Jay’s Penalty Box in Ferndale for a good sports bar vibe and $2 beer when the Wings score.

Honest John’s for good food and pseudo-dive bar vibe with craft beer that is less than a mile walk from LCA.

Condado for large dank tacos and margs that’s also under a mile walk from LCA.

MGM Grand Parking Garage if you just need somewhere FREE to park that’s not too far of a walk to LCA.

Harry’s and Temple Bar are right next to LCA if you get there early and can get a seat, or just go after the game.

Bucharest for amazing shawarma under 0.5 mile away from LCA (no alcohol).

  3. In Detroit? Astoria. Gonellas.vinnies Italian sub shop. Barcade. A cool Red Wings supportive bar is Firebird Tavern. The truffle fries are really good.

  4. If you’re into craft beer Earnest Brew Works in Toledo is great. I like to get a carryout pizza across the street from Home Slice, and you can eat it inside Earnest. Within walking distance to the game.

  5. The Christmas Tree in downtown Detroit is getting lit on Friday. Might be crazy busy. But since you’ll already be there, you could Qline/walk down Woodward and check it out.
Grand Trunk Pub is a cool old bar right there . Good food and drinks.

  6. Tomorrow you’re gonna go to Buddy’s Pizza in Dearborn on Michigan Ave, then you’re gonna go to Nemos Bar in Detroit and you’re gonna get a drink and bus tickets and ride the bus to the arena. Way cheaper than paying for parking unless you’ve got like 8 people in your car. Theres no better way to get to a game if you’re not from Detroit, good burgers too, the vibes at Nemos are high

On Friday, in Toledo: La Fiesta for Mexican, The Beirut for Mediterranean, Rudy’s for coney dogs, and good places to eat downtown are Manhattans, Maumee Bay Brewing, Dirty Burd, and the Blarney. Frickers if you want a sports bar with wings. I’d also say Home Slice, Stubborn Brother, and Calvinos if you want pizza, but its hard to beat Buddy’s in my opinion.

    Trust me, I’m a doctor.

Oh and if you just need stuff to do in Toledo, the art museum is very nice, Imagination Station if you’ve got kids with you, Culture Clash for records, Handmade Toledo, House of Dow, and The Attic all on Adams Street if you’re into good drinks and buying weird stuff, and I suggest avoiding the mall, and Lights At The Zoo starts Friday but it might be hard to get that in and get to the game in time.

  7. Wildside in Toledo! I usually go to Wildside or Ol Durty Bird when I want better food than just bar food. I’ll be there Friday too!

  8. If you like craft beer, the new brewery full measure in eastern market is definitely worth the trip

  9. That’s a cool trip you have planned! Buy a Finnie Jersey so he can sign it for you when you see him in town. LGRW!
