As a Nebraska kid in the 80s, the 49ers drafting him (and Tom Rathman) was what made me a Niners fan way back then. I’ve stayed Faithful ever since. This story makes me very happy today.

Won’t get in. But I wish him luck.
He belongs. It’s way past time
First player with a 1K/1K season. That punishing high hurdler’s running style. Also played FB to Wendell Tyler’s HB.
[Then there’s this run against the Lambs in 88](https://youtu.be/4kjHqzjT09I?si=p9QScgFVBgU3uQ4Q)
The man was a destroyer. He should already be in. But I’m biased, I reckon.
THE SINGLE most egregious omission from the HOF!
I’ve followed this since I was a kid and the induction ceremonies since 85 which was the first time I ever saw them televised.
THE. SINGLE.
It’s embarrassing and a disservice to the game they purport to honor that Roger Craig *even fell* to the Sr. Category!
Put. Him. IN!!!
Travesty he’s not in yet.
Roger Craig is not already in the HOF?!?
It’s already been talked about him being the first to rush and receive. But it also needs to be pointed out he did that playing on grass not on turf .
The only justifiable reason for his omission to this point, is if the selection committee accidentally mistook him for SF Giants manager, Roger Craig.
Should have been in 20 years ago
About fucking time. He’d better get inducted or we riot.
My flair says it all. Man was ahead of his time and a critical component of our dynasty. Without him things would have been much different.
Bout time
Hell yeah! 80’s Nebraska kid here too! I love telling people how I became a 49ers fan from SE Nebraska and never been to CA. Roger Craig first 1000 & 1000 deserving of HOF!
In the Dire Straits “Walk of Life” video.
Way overdue 👏👏👏
You know what’s crazy is Frank Gore is eligible in 2026. So there’s a timeline where Frank Gore will get in before Roger Craig.
