Joe Burrow was a full participant in practice today

  1. I’m stuck at a crossroads between “Please stop, protect Burrow at all costs” and “Inject this into my veins”

  2. I understand people being upset about him trying to come back. He is our franchise, but if Joe wants to play, he’s going to play.

He is the ultimate competitor, if he wasn’t, he wouldn’t be the QB we all know and want to have.

  3. We only get so many years to watch Burrow play. Ef anyone who wants him to sit out all year when he’s able to play

  4. I feel mixed on this. I want to see him play and see if he can operate with the offense we’ve been running with Flacco since I believe if he does what Flacco does and throws it away he’ll be healthier in the future but also I don’t want him to be rushed into action because our season is basically fucked.

  5. I mean fuck it let him play. I’m quickly losing any/all hope that this bengals FO can navigate out of this unbelievably deep hole they’ve built so what would we even be saving him for?

  6. FYI in the pre practice press conference, Zac said the plan was for Burrow to take the reps while Flacco was off and for Flacco to resume his reps on Thursday.

Specifically said he wants Burrow to have multiple days of 11v11 drills.

    Could also be smoke

  7. Joe playing this season only hurts us any way you look at it.

Hypothetical 1: He ends up getting hurt again because he rushed his rehab and has to spend the offseason recovering again.

Hypothetical 2: He plays well, the team wins a few games, still misses the playoffs, but now pick in the 15-20 range instead of in the top 10. They suck at drafting so they end up with another Shemar Stewart/ Myles Murphy type player. The FO writes the whole season off as a fluke and nothing changes.

    Lose- Lose

  8. Maybe I’m just not online enough to have seen my take on this elsewhere, but I can’t believe I haven’t seen it yet. It’s clear to everyone that this is just an ego thing right? Flacco dropping into the team and days later absolutely lighting it up while also getting the ball out quicker and taking less sacks, all the stupid shit people were saying about it meaning Burrow is overrated. The difference in salary. The fact that he’s more injury prone than the 40 year old. He definitely just wants to show that he’s the better Joe lol cause at this point even he has had a smidge of doubt and questioning enter into his mind. If he was fully confident in himself and his being a necessity to the offenses and teams success he would rest up. Hopefully his ego doesnt get him hurt again

  9. I love Joe and I love watching him, but for the love of god if he steps on the football field at all the rest of this season…

  10. We’re not losing games because of quarterback play. Flacco has been as good as you can possibly hope for in a trade return situation. Burrow coming back would make no difference.

  11. Y’all I know the defense is bad and the oline is questionable at best, but more than half these guys WILL be in the ten next year. Can you imagine how they’d respond if they knew Joe could help them win and chose not to?

  12. Kinda want burrow back so we can keep losing so Taylor and Tobin have no more excuses. If we lose 5-7 of the final games with him back, they can’t hide behind “burrow was hurt”. If he plays half the season and we lose more than half the games, all eyes go back on the org.

  13. Good thing he’s coming back. Going to be the lockdown defender the defense needs to not be the worst defense in NFL history.

  14. Please Joe please! Do not play another snap this season. Somebody’s going to have to save him from himself

  15. Only the Bengals would throw a generational QB out there in a bunch of meaningless games to save a horrible coach’s job. At this point suck for Caleb Downs or Reese
