BREAKING 🚨 Joe Burrow FULLY PARTICIPATED in Bengals’ practice showing promise for return | NFL Live
and more in week 12 that we want to tell you about. Man, the Chiefs are not used to having their backs against the wall, but that’s exactly what’s going on here. The five and five Kansas City Chiefs enter Sunday’s game against the Colts with a 54% chance to make the playoffs according to ESPN analytics. That would jump to 65% with a victory, but it drops to 36% with a loss. That’s how significant this game is. A loss would also mark the first three-game losing streak by Kansas City in the Patrick Mahomes era. New on NFL Live, Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes spoke about their run pass balance this week. This coming in just now. The runs are being called. It’s just, you know, sometimes they they get uh turn into into passes in today’s world. Our goal is to get five or six yards on every single time we run our RPO, either running the ball or throwing the ball. And I think we’ve done a good job of that throughout the season. Um but but at the end of the day, like I said, sometimes you got to hand the ball off even if the throw gets you five or six yards just to keep the defense honest and to set up other stuff throughout the rest of the game. M let’s go back to what Andy Reid said, Dan. What do you make of it? This is the reality of running an RPO offense. They ran nine of them last week against the Denver Broncos. They handed it off once. Now, every time they threw it was a good play. And every time they threw it at six, seven, eight yards. This is early in the game to Rasheed Rice in one of their 4×1 formations. This is a little ball fake and you kick the ball out to the perimeter. There’s five, six yards. And so, it’s hard to fault the quarterback in the offense when you’re calling your RPOS’s. the ball’s coming out of his hands and you’re getting positive yards. The Andy Reed doesn’t care as long as I’m getting five or six yards out of the play call. But I do think the ending what Patrick said is interesting. Some points you would just want to hand the ball off just to hand the ball off and to help you kind of set other things up. You’re not setting really anything else up with your RPO game. And so I see their perspective of it, but they’re an RPOentric offense and eight out of nine times throwing it for positive plays. It’s hard to knock that. The production is the production either way. Yeah. I mean, what you’re knocking though is the results when it comes to wins and losses. And that that’s what’s tough here. Hawk, what needs to change in your mind for this offense to get back on track? They got to hit some of these explosive plays to your point when you’re going against the Broncos. You know, it’s going to be tough to run the football, which is where the RPO’s come in because those are extension of the run game, right? You’re getting those at a six, seven, eight yard clip. But down the field, a six. Yeah, you’re down in. You’re down in Laura. But down the field there were touchdown opportunities like they had to hit. They had to hit Xavier Worthy there in the first the first quarter and then you come back right back to Thornton like this is your opportunity on the outside. Let me ask you this. No certain shots down the field. You got to hit those. We’ve been saying this all year about this offense. Why? Like why why can’t this offense hit the big ball? I got thoughts. I I feel like it’s reactionary in the game as opposed to them game planning those shots. Like these are the big opportunities all week. You know, we’re going to get this. Xavier going to be down the field and we have to hit this. We have to rep this out because it’s been so routine for them over the course of Patrick Mahomes’s career where he can when it flashes we can hit it and they’re having trouble to get that pace. I feel like this year it’s always been long. It’s always been a yard farther than it should. And is that on Mahomes? A little bit. It’s always on both. Yeah. But for some reason, it’s it they’re they’re not hitting it this year. His 421 speed Xavier Worthy who he has not reached even 40 yard reception this year, much less like a 75 yd flip the field to Shawn Jackson-like play this year. I think some of it is on Patrick Mahomes and the accuracy. I think some of it is on Xavier Worthy. He’s 421 fast, but he’s 170 pounds maybe. Like there’s not a lot of physicality there. If it’s a close football down the field, he’s got to have a step or two on a player and the ball’s got to be thrown perfectly. And the Chiefs all off season kept telling us, we’re going to be more explosive. Patrick’s won the MVP twice. In those two seasons, the Chiefs by far led the NFL in 20 plus yard plays. They’re right in the middle of the pack now. The only time they get him right now is when Patrick runs around and kind of creates. It’s like Patrick Travis Kelce in the middle of the field against 21 yards. Not like, hey, they have their 13th and 20 plus yard plays, but they’re also fifth and 50 yard plus plays. the only one they hit last weekend, but also like the Thornon back shoulder too. He’s been the only guy to do it. It wasn’t down the field. That’s a great story. Like it’s awesome that he has found a home in Kansas City, but like when that is the player that is defining your vertical passing game when you also have Rash Rashid Rice and Xavier Worthy on the field like that to me there’s no easy button for this offense. Here’s the tough part though and I want to hear your perspective on this Dan. somebody is that fast. And I don’t know if you’ve played with anybody that runs out. It’s like, oh, you’re letting that thing fly. So, he’s not even thinking like, oh, let me hit this bucket. At 42, it’s literally putting it out there and the receiver is like, you almost are always right in your mind as a quarterback. We used to have that conversation about Calvin. Calvin was on the field four low four threes at worst and it was you can’t outthrow him. Just throw it at some point. You’re just throwing it as far and as high as you can and he’ll track it. Now, Kelvin obviously had 65 240, right? But I think your point of like the inability for the contested catch down there and then to your point of maybe Patrick thinks I I have to throw it as far as I can to catch it for you to catch it. It’s they’re not connecting on it. Well, Laura, moments ago, the Bengals practice report came out and Joe Burrow was listed as a full participant in practice today. The fact that a player could be listed as a full participant on a Wednesday tells you that the team probably has not given up hope that maybe Joe Burr can make it back. Forget about Thanksgiving, potentially Sunday. Wow. For the game against the New England Patriots. Now, let’s also keep in mind here that while Joe Burrow was a full participant in practice today, Joe Flacco was a limited participant in practice today due to his shoulder injury. So, again, I think there’s a lot that you have to work through and read between the lines, but something’s happening in Cincinnati here and Joe Burrow seems to be tracking to come back sooner rather than later. Now again, there have been talk about Buffalo in a couple of weeks. There have been talk about Thanksgiving Day or night against the Baltimore Ravens. At the very least, the Bengals are working him into shape to be able to play on Thanksgiving. And at the same time, if a player is full on Wednesday, that tells you there’s a shot a shot I don’t know how much that he’ll be out there even potentially on Sunday. Okay, this is fascinating. Thanks to Adam for the latest news. Dan, I’ll start with you. I mean, this is a team that by all accounts, their record makes it very difficult to try to make anything happen in the postseason. Is this the right move for Joe Burrow to come back out there? He’s a competitor, so yes, he’s going to start and there’s no way that he’s practicing fully today if he’s not going to start on Sunday. No Jamar. So, that’s going to be obviously a challenge. Um Jamar remember one game suspension from incident. I don’t think this defense has given up less than 30 since September. So you know it’s pretty much the same situation as last year. Is it smart? I’m always of the vein if the if the medical staff says he’s good to go and the player says I feel good. He’s a competitor. He’s going to go play. Um they’re in desperate times. They have to basically win out to get in and even need some help. If Joe’s wants to play and he feels like he’s going to be able to play and the medical staff says he’s capable, he’s going to go play, I would fully expect him to be the starter. Seems like if it were any of our decisions, if the reality was it can’t get worse, we’d be comfortable with him playing. But even if it can get worse, I just feel like Joe Burrow’s wired. We’re like, he’s going to want to go out there and play with his guys and give this team one last shot. Like they are they are basically in must-win territory. These probably offs begin Sunday against I’ll get us there. I’ll be I’ll be good enough to drag us to the play. And by the way, he firmly believes that and he could be right. I mean, it would be practically unprecedented if they pulled it off. But yeah, I mean, I’m I’m I’m not a fan of like bubble wrapping your quarterback just in general, but I would understand if they were like, “Hey, let’s keep him safe if it wasn’t the circumstances that we’ve seen Joe Burrow in multiple seasons on IR, right?” And so, I think for them, they’re like, “Look, when you’re out there, you give us the best chance regardless of what’s going on with the defense.” And if we’re doing that, there could be more times where it’s like, “Oh, are we going to shut him down? Are we going to shut him down?” get him out there to play. Especially as we know how Joe Burrow is wired, he wants to play. And doesn’t it benefit him a little bit to play? Like if he’s healthy enough, which it sounds like he is, they’re not going to put him back out there if he’s not. Like is it better to do that than to just sit the rest of the season out and and not get any reps? I mean, is he beyond Joe doesn’t need reps for next season now? You know, like that that’s not going to do anything for him. I just think that this is a reality of a football team and an organization. If they don’t make the playoffs, it would be Joe Burrow not in the playoffs three years in a row. Yeah. It’s a head coach, you know, who’s on the hot seat. The reality, so like you got to win. Patriots, Ravens, Bills, Ravens for the next four years. Yeah. I would say was there now or never time, right? From a player’s perspective as someone who dealt with a lot of injuries in his career, like there at the beginning, it’s like, oh, I got to nurse and get back to health. After a while, you’re like, I don’t want this tag on me. As much as I can play, I want to go push. I I could imagine that for Joe Burrow, it’s that same thing where he feels like, I don’t want this to be the same old story. I’m ready to play. I can’t play. Get me out there. This is kind of interesting. Once they get past that four game stretch, which by the way, that’s that’s crazy if they win all those, but it’s possible, right? Then they’ll get Jamar Chase back for that week 13 at the Ravens. Then at Dolphins, Cardinals, and Browns, I mean, they go three and one in the next four. Oh, they can. Yeah. You think so? I again, I’ll go back to the point. The defense, I don’t believe, has given up less than 30 since September. Can you beat the Patriots without Jamar? You think they can go three and one in that next four? If they go three and one in that next four, that gives it gets them to six and eight. You’re beating the Ravens twice with Lamar back. I mean, I’m not betting on three and one, man. Baltimore’s offense has not looked very crisp since Lamar’s come back. They’ve been fine. Yeah, Aaron’s dealing with the wrist. I mean, you the AFC is wide open. You’d have to get like the luckiest version of all those teams. Totally.

Is Burrow gonna play LB?
He beautiful Mvp football 🏈👏😁❤
There’s no point of Burrow playing Bumgals not going nowhere
Bengals defense only gave up 20 last week. The offense gave up the other 14
20 last week, offense gave up 2 TD'S. Hope? Who knows, WHO DEY!
Didn't Flacco throw for almost 500 yds recently?the offense isn't the problem.
The league has moved on from Joe burrow the man can’t stay healthy for the life of him
Money grab for mike brown. Joe burrow should refuse to start
So.Whats the point?
Burrow vs Lamar on Thanksgiving is gonna make NBC happy 😁
Doing all he can to make the division easier for us down the road. He’s gonna get himself killed behind that line and not moving as intelligently as Flacco does in the pocket.
Okay. Get Burrow broken twice in a season.
