FUTURE STAR! Dink Pate GOES OFF! Rookie Sends HUGE MESSAGE To Knicks | New York Knicks News

The Knicks are stacking talent at every level, including Westchester, and they found themselves another future star in Dink Pate. We’re going to break down all of these latest reports today. This episode is presented by FanDuel. We have a goal of trying to reach 40,000 subscribers, and we could really use your support. If you enjoy Daily Nicks content, please hit that subscribe button. And now, let’s get started. Future star, when you see Jaylen Brunson, OG Anobi, Carl Anthony Towns, Mikuel Bridges, it’s easy to forget about the future waiting for New York. Players like Kevin McCuller Jr., Tyler Kle, Pakome Dier, Ariel Hakporti, and Mohamed Diawara. Now we can add another player to that list. Dink P. This kid is a future star. Look what this kid did a few nights ago with the Westchester Knicks. I want to remind everybody, this kid is 19 years old. He is 6’8, 210 lbs. He is extremely athletic. He can rebound the ball. He can handle the ball. He’s a wing, but really he’s a guard, too. He can do it all. The only issue with him was his shooting, his field goal shooting, and his three-point shooting. But in Westchester, don’t look now. It looks like that shooting is finally starting to turn around. Dink Pate had the hot hand off the bench for the Westchester Knicks in his season debut. He scored a game high 21 points on seven for4 shooting. That is 50% from the field. He also pulled down five rebounds. Now, you might be saying to yourself after seeing this, well, the field goal percentage looks nice, but you talked about three-point shooting and recap, this is only one game. You would be right. Unless I had more evidence on why this kid is a future star. a few nights ago. He proved why. And that three-point shot, it’s coming along. Dink Pate the other night, 19 points, six of 12 from the field, 50% shooting, 50% from three, five of 10, five rebounds. The biggest issue with this kid, and you could see it if you were watching summer league or you were watching any of his highlights, he has the handles. He can move the ball. He can get others involved. He can finish. He has the size. He has the athleticism. What he didn’t really have was the shooting. He needed to be a better shooter. We really needed to see him get to that level. And with Westchester this season, it looks like slowly he’s starting to reach that level. And I’m talking about a few games now where he is 50% from the field. That is huge. In the summer league, I think he was around 41%. That’s pretty bad. As a guard/wing, you need to shoot the ball a little bit better, especially from three. In summer league, he was around 50%. And now with Westchester, he continues to be 50%. If he can continue this for the rest of the season, Dink Pate will have arrived. The only issue with it is Dink Pate is with Westchester, but he’s not really with New York. He’s not with the Knicks, another team. If they like what he’s doing, they can go out there, they can sign him to a contract, and then he can be moved to that team. If New York likes the talent that they see with Dink Pay right now, they’re going to have to do something about it. They’re going to have to find a way to give this kid a contract because what we’re seeing right now, he is starting to put it all together. He is starting to figure it out, he is only 19 years old. If he can start to put it together right now the right way, and that defense starts to improve even more, we could have a very special player on our hands. and the Knicks. Leon Rose, do you really want a player like that going to any other organization? I don’t think so. I think it’s a matter of time before New York does something about this and they’re able to sign Dink Pate to a contract. I don’t know how they’re going to do it. I’m not sure. But given his play right now, it’s only a matter of time before he forces New York to make that move. Now, some of you, you might be hearing Dick Pate’s name for the first time. Maybe you’re watching this channel for the first time. Maybe you didn’t watch summer league. If that’s the case, here’s a little bit of background information about the Knicks future star in Dink Pate. After joining the G- League Ignite in 2023 at the age of 17, Pate became the youngest professional basketball player in the United States. The Dallas, Texas native averaged eight points, 3.8 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game with the development squad, shooting 34.7% from the field in 31 contests. So, as I said before, his shooting was abysmal. But, as you can see, in the last few games, it’s definitely come along. After the 2023 2024 season, Paint remained in the G-League, but found a new home, signing with the Mexico City Capitans. The former five-star recruit contributed 10.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists during his second professional season, connecting on 40.8% of his field goals in 34 outings. Pate competed with the Knicks during the NBA 2K26 Summer League, showcasing his wonky yet effective long range jumper and promising touch around the rim. Pate recorded 9.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assist in five games, finishing with 40% field goal shooting. Not great, but 50% three-point shooting percentage. Even in that small information that I just gave you guys about Dink Pate, one thing that you’ve seen, every single time he gets an opportunity, what does he do? He gets better. He uses it to develop in the right way. And his field goal percentage, little by little, it’s gotten better and better and better. Same thing for his three-point shooting. Same thing for his rebounding, his finishing, his IQ for the game when he’s on the floor. Everything about Dink Pate continues to evolve and get better each and every opportunity that he gets. And during Westchester this season, I think he’s going to light up the G-League and do some things that nobody expected. And hopefully the Knicks take notice and they take notice quickly because if they don’t and other teams see what this kid can do, it’s only a matter of time before they steal him from New York. And I do not want that to happen. Dink P looks great right now. He looks like a future star and hopefully the Knicks see that too and they can make a move to keep him on this team long term. And shout out to channel sponsor FanDuel, America’s number one sports book, for giving us this updated information and these latest odds on who’s going to win tonight’s matchup between the Knicks and the Dallas Mavericks. And as you can see with the money line there, the Knicks are the overwhelming favorites to beat the Mavericks tonight. They’re at minus 210 while the Mavericks, they’re at plus 184. Now Jaylen Brunson, he might make his return tonight during this game and that might be the reason New York is favored here. But there’s also another reason why the Knicks are favored against the Mavericks. It’s the Mavs. The Mavs are not a good team this season. Now, I’m not saying the Knicks should take them for granted. They should just walk into Dallas and think, you know what, it’s going to be an easy win. It’s not. Let’s not forget on the road, the Knicks are horrible. They have not won one game on the road yet. So, before we can pump out our chest and say, “We’re the Knicks. We’re here. We’re great.” Let’s start winning on the road, doing it consistently, and then we can start to talk about it. We’re still missing OG Anobi. Jaylen Brunson is questionable. Although it’s likely he will play tonight against the Dallas Mavericks. But even if he does, he should not be playing a full game. He should be limited. It’s the Mavericks. We should be blowing them out at halftime so we allow the starters to rest a little bit more and allow the bench to play more minutes. That should be the course of action tonight with Mike Brown and this team. The only way that happens though if the Knicks follow the game plan, they focus and they dominate the Mavericks early. If they don’t and they pack the paint and they allow the Mavs to get wide open three-point shots, then it’s going to be a back andforth affair and this game is going to be close. And a close game against a desperate Mavericks team is not the position you want to be in if you’re the New York Knicks. So, you can avoid all of that by coming in hot, coming in early, and dominating the Mavs. So, they don’t even have a chance in the game. And hopefully, that’s what we see tonight. But what about you guys? What do you think about this future star that the Knicks have here, Dink Pate, and what he’s been able to do in Westchester over the last few games? 21 points on one night, and then another night, 19 points, and doing it so efficiently. Let me know how you feel about him in the comment section below, guys, because honestly, I would love to hear from you. But that’s going to do it for this episode. I hope you enjoyed it, and if you did, go ahead and smash that like button, leave a comment below, and of course, guys, please subscribe to the channel. Until next time, Nick fans, take care of yourself, your families, and each other. Peace and

  1. Good show, Knicks is garbage, for the last 20 years Knicks searching and can't find there way out Leon Rose as to go he done nothing since he's here no star player , just shuffling shuffling shuffling , he needs to build something more than buying, many first round picks and nothing to show for it they all gone it's time James Dolan fired him.

  2. DINK PATE IS GOING NOWHERE, LEON ALREADY HAS A DEAL WITH THIS KID..HE IS GOING NOWHERE TRUST ME TONY. LEON ROSE KNOWS ABOUT THIS KID, WE ARE UP AGAINST THE CAP BUT WE WILL HAVE THE MONEY TO SIGN HIM TO A MULTI- YEAR DEAL LATER ON THIS SEASON

  3. He be a Good fit for Brooklyn right now because he's a franchise starter and he doesn't fit the Knicks timeline with brunson on the team who will be here at least 5 more years

  4. Well, I really like Dink Pate. I think he’s the best prospect we have had on this roster in possibly a decade. He’s just what we need a young “ Athletic “ talent. He’s 19 6’8 and potentially he is still growing. He’s the perfect player to develop. Maybe Pate is the reason they brought in Billy Lange for player development. Who knows, but what I do know is that Pate is a keeper and we finally have a really good young prospect to develop. Of all the Knicks young guys in my opinion he’s the most talented. Given we don’t have any draft picks, I hope we don’t blow it and let this kid walk out the door. It would be a shame because he has it.

  5. Mr Leon Rose always has a backup plan. "Secret players" nobody knows in the NBA, only Leon Rose and his Knicks staff knows. They can use them in the case of emergencies to replace injured Knicks players. Safety net.

  6. 🥱 tired of seeing great prospects that'll never get minutes. I love seeing young prospects don't get me wrong but we all know they not getting no playing time under this coach. First kill the starter's Thibs, now Mike "adaptability" Clown who rather die using Yabusele instead(& lie to us saying he made a impact🤣) of trying other things & ADAPTING to the situation, instead of playing Huk since Mitch is fragile & on load management, at least he tries on defense, Yabusele just gives up on plays & gives nothing on defense. Everybody talks about "get rid of these young guys, they won't help us now, we need vets" oh right cause in the last 53 years having vets got us multiple championships right? Lmao y'all need to sit down & delete ya accounts. 53 years that vet ish ain't worked, time for a new approach 🤷🏿‍♂️

  7. I really like Dink's game and always have. I hope at some point he gets an opportunity to be called up from Westchester. I dont want another team to come in an swoop him up from under us.
