  1. Okay, now everyone leave him alone. It’s been said enough that he’s not talking about what happened and I swear I see quotes every other day of reporters asking about it.

  2. I respect how Simmons and KC have handled this. Depending on what it is, I wouldn’t want my personal info to be disclosed to the public. Obviously it depends but I can def see scenarios I want to keep it close to the vest. So with that, PROPS TO THE KC CHIEFS FOR DOING THEIR BEST TO KEEP THIS INFORMATION IN HOUSE! In this day and age, figured it’d leak out. Maybe some of the rumors are true, idk. But it looks like KC tried to respect Simmons space, which honestly we really should. Class act imo. I know it sucks not knowing, but it’s not our business (as much as some claim it should be).

  3. I’m just going to assume he was being put through the Weapon X Program and carry on with my business.

  4. Watching this press conference I couldn’t help but think he may not be an animated, joking, jolly Chris Jones type, but goddam did he come across as intelligent, respectful, and articulate. I hope he continues to grow and ball out for us and we can keep him for his career. Small props to the press for not ignoring him and pushing for info.

  5. Respect the hell out of KC for keeping the situation under wraps. Family stuff is hard enough and is even worse when millions of people are trying to know your business.

He’s back now and the organization accommodated him so it really does not matter at this point why he was gone. It was clearly important and he’s back now.

I respect the hell out of Josh for how he’s handling this.

  6. Josh when asked if he wanted to share anything about his absence: “kinda wanna keep that in house. All due respect, I know everyone wants but it’s kinda something I wanna keep, ya know, inside”.

    So now EVERYONE STOP ASKING

  7. Whatever happened—not that we need to know—the ability of any sports team to keep his business quiet in this age of TMZ & smartphones is to be commended. Credit where it’s due, org brass did things right and did right by their player.

Who knows, maybe this is the kind of good vibe shot-in-the-arm type of thing the team needs. Even if not, I’m just glad things never leaked.

  8. In the absence of information I’m making up my own version of events

So here’s what happened:  Simmons was visited by a time traveler.  The time traveler comes from the distant future and using complex mathematical models discovered that Simmons missing those four game prevents him from blowing out his patellar tendon.

This results in the chiefs winning the Super Bowl and going on a run of 12 consecutive championships which cures all political division in the world and results in a thousand years of peace and prosperity.

An asteroid was going to hit earth in 2093, but the excessive fireworks from Arrowhead stadium’s 8th renovation slightly alter earths rotation and prevent the annihilation of Europe.

In gratitude for this, Europe abolishes soccer and the nfl becomes the worlds most popular sport.

  9. He clearly, and thankfully, didn’t read this subreddit with all the jackasses spouting off nonsensical entitlement to know his personal business and ready to write him off.
