  1. Damn that was a pretty quick trade. Apparently we got back Nick Allen. Hope his talent is more unique than his name.

  2. I get it cause $6-7M is steep for a light hitting utility guy. But damn I’m really gonna miss the vibes. I just hope it means that money is about to go toward something big. And maybe he’ll get a chance to start with ATL, he’s definitely got enough glove at SS to pull his weight if the rest of the lineup hits.

  3. Making a move like this so early in the off-season has to just be to provide the most room possible for signing FAs, which is a good sign.

Gonna miss Dubon though. His versatility makes him a lot more valuable than his measurable stats alone do. I sure hope the $5 million savings actually makes a difference.

Allen might be cheaper, but he’s going to be significantly less dependable. His offense is much much worse and he doesn’t play the outfield.

  4. Hey Dana, put Pena, Alvarez, Brown, Altuve, and Smith on the trade block while you’re at it. Just fuck this shit up.

  5. I’ll just remind everyone that when Altuve took a pitch to the hand in the 2023 WBC it was Dubón who covered most of his starts and I haven’t looked up the data but IIRC he was perfectly serviceable on offense during Jose’s extended IL stint. One of your above average bats goes down on injury you’ll quickly miss having Mauricio on the roster.
