  1. Lol, the mod banned me, then edited his discord message, sent it in the reddit DM, and then muted me so I couldn’t share the original with the other mods hilarious abuse of power

  2. It’s not all the mods. Its only that Paper guy. He removes any post if he disagrees with it. No one’s opinions are allowed if it doesn’t align with theirs.

  3. Oh ya, i’d been subbed to all the canadian team subs for a decade, but the canucks one had just gotten so toxic and poorly moderated i had to unsubscribe last year

Sad to see it’s kept ramping uo since then

  4. Reddit mods power tripping because it’s the only position of authority they’ve ever had. In other words, grass is green

  5. Well I’m already banned from the Bruins sub for chirping in a gameday thread (as a Bruins Fan). So welcome to the party Canucks fans lol.

  6. “This sub is filled with cranky ass people”

    – Maybe they wouldn’t be so cranky if the Canucks didn’t do their best impression of “man needing heimlich maneuver” Every. Fucking. Year.

  7. Can’t expect to fill thousands of mod roles on the Internet with people who somehow have the time for it – and not expect some of them to treat it like an HOA.

Abuse of (the most) power (they’ve ever had).

  8. I just want to take a moment to tip my hat to the wonderful mods over on the Wings sub. Fantastic moderation over there. They keep that sub very focused, while still allowing for bullshit and shitposting in the daily thread.

Point blank, one of the better mod teams on reddit imo.

  9. If a mod of any forum isn’t happy with the tone of the forum, they should probably reconsider serving as a mod.

  10. Why are reddit mods (discord too) just universally the worst lol? Like ive never met one or talked to one who seemed normal

  11. The mods that run my city’s sub are sarcastic and passive aggressive, I’ve reported them. I don’t outright want to insult the mods, but I don’t think they should be above the plebs.

  12. So many mods like that on Reddit. They get the littlest bit of power and abuse it because theyll never have it anywhere else.

  13. holy shit sometimes i wonder how country leaders get so power drunk but whenever i see reddit mods i get it.

  14. I love when it’s super obvious that a person has never felt secure about themselves. Reddit mods who go on power trips are truly some of the strangest people in what is a very strange world

  15. Mods that solely exist to enforce their own opinions need to be identified and removed from Reddit.

  16. Why are Reddit mods like this? It’s quite literally the smallest amount of power a human could hold while still calling it “power”.

Hockey is a non serious topic as a whole…what are we doing here?

  17. Lots of mods are power tripping dickwads who spend way too much time online. Lots are also normal.

  18. i went to check on it and im banned even though ive literally never been in there lmao what

  19. The issue is all of Reddit. This is what happens when people are given power, even the small amount mods have, and there is no oversight into them whatsoever. There is no place to report mod behavior nor does Reddit even want to hear it. This is by far the biggest issue with this site. Their refusal to police their own mods.
