Boston Bruins vs. Anaheim Ducks | Game Preview | 11/19/2025
[Music] All right, game one of their four game road trip. Uh, three on the West, one all the way back east against the Islanders. I like the semicasual. Okay, this is nice. Campus was not semi-casual. Campus is not mess. He’s all business. Yeah, he’s been wearing like Is this California casual? Is that what we’re going to call it? I don’t know, but it was We got a We got a hat. We’ve got a hat, folks. I know. When was the When That might be the first baseball hat. No. Morgan Geeky in the last one came with a car heart. Remember that? Casual Monday. Yes. Okay. The first two hats ever in Bruins history. Guys, welcome to the Ultimate Bruins Show presented by Jordan’s Furniture, Sophia, Billy, and Razer from our Salem 5 studio. Guys, Friday night you should come. Sorry. Dress like that. That’s a hush Friday. I’m wearing a hat. Friday night casual. Yeah. Oh my gosh. Oh my god. Get out of here. You can see. How big is it? Hey, listen. I need to stay hydrated. 25 oz of water. It’s like a bowling up all night. I’ve been I know. I’ve been dehydrated, guys. We all We have to be up all night cuz it’s a late one. It’s 9:00. Okay. And we want to show you the schedule. We are all disoriented here. Uh but let’s get back on track. This is the schedule for the Boston per uh California Dream. And yeah, next three games, like we said, on the West Coast, not on this list, but they’re wrapping up this four game road trip with a tilt against the New York New York Islanders. But we want you guys to stay up with us, okay? So, here’s a little encouragement. Hopefully, this will uh make you laugh. If you do stay up with us, don’t put those on yet. If you do stay up with us, the first couple of people who tweet me, we’re going to shout you out at the end of the show, at the end of post game. You got to prove you’re staying up. Okay. What a carrot. That is one heck of a dangling carrot right there. Wow. Wow. Sophia, talk to me. Best we can do. A for effort right now. We can’t send you gift cards, but we can tweet. I’m going to start tweeting you right now. You can tweet us. Uh, all right. Listen, I’m going to get back on track over here. The Ducks, they put seven goals on the board the last two times these two teams met. Back on October 21st, Michael Granlin led the way for the Ducks with a career-high five-point game. This California trip will be a challenge for the battered and Bruised Brutins. We’re going to definitely go over those injuries uh a little later. But for more on that, we’re also bringing in Adam Pelerin from the Honda Center. So, Adam, uh a little depleted roster, but some guys from Providence coming up trying to fill those spots. Yeah, and you mentioned the schedule. It’s not easy, right? Three of the four teams that they’ll face over the next week are currently in playoff position. And the Sharks, who have been playing very well, remember they started 04 and2. They’re 94 and one over the last 14 games. Uh they’re not too far behind. So, the schedule’s a bear. The injuries are tough to bear. And Marco Sturm along with some players addressed that this morning. You know, every every team goes through it and um unfortunately it’s us right now. And uh yeah, you know, when you talk to players, they always want ice time. They always want playing time. They they they hate to be scratched and this and this and that. Well, this is the opportunity, right? And that’s uh that’s what they have to remember. This is their time to shine now. And uh but to go through like that uh a phase like that, we just we need a complete uh team effort um starting the day throughout this road trip. and uh and I don’t know how long because otherwise it’s it will be tough. Yeah, I think everyone gets you know a little bit bigger opportunity, a little bit more ice time than than usual. I think that’s that’s exciting for you know a lot of players and I think we have good enough team to you know to take some points from from this road trip. I think it’s it’s important game for us today to to take and and especially you know we’re always saying we don’t lose two in a row. So hopefully we can we can do that and come back to uh the winning streak again. guys have to step up up and down the lineup, right? You know, top guys have to be top guys and guys that are coming up, you know, have to contribute and that’s up and down and everyone, you know, kind of has to find their role. Um, you know, whether that’s scoring goals, blocking shots, things like that, you know, everyone’s got to, you know, dive into what they want to do on the ice and collectively as a team, you know, that’ll benefit us. Yeah, you heard from Pavle Zaka there. I mean, he’s lost both of his linemates to injury. The Bruins are really feeling it right now. So, no Victor Robertson, no Casey Middlestad, obviously. Uh, no Charlie Makavoy either. Elias Lindtom, guys, though is on the trip and he did take part in morning skate this morning. Uh, Marco Stermit said before the team left that they are hopeful he could play on this trip at some point. So, we’ll have to wait and see for that, guys. All right. Great stuff, Adam. Thank you. Uh, quick question though for you for Razer. So, so Razer, let me ask him. You know, when you uh when you went on the road as a player, right? It was pro, you know, like people knew you at home, right? You could just walk right in. Yeah. What about when on the road? I mean, did you ever you never had any issue, did you? No. You’re always dressed up, suit and tie, you know, you don’t you kind of walk through, you give a nod, you know, show your hockey card possibly. Right. So, my question is, why did why did this happen tonight? Let’s see. Tags. Tags is fine. [Applause] I’m your pass. And the best part is the mic flag is going to Hey, I holding a mic. I’m I hold the mic. Oh man, that’s good. I love slow-mo here. This is I mean, look at this. Wait, watch the movement of the mic in a second. Hey, look at You think I brought this? Do you think this is a Halloween costume? You got the thumbs up. You got the thumbs up. I love it, Adam. Uh, much thanks to game producer Brian Zachello for capturing that footage and then deciding to put it on TV. So, really appreciate that. I didn’t realize how annoyed I I was, I guess, until I saw the video. And I am visibly annoyed by the fact that he asked a man with a microphone and a shirt and tie and a camera. You went a long way to show that path the long flight. You are big and I would have done the same. I do not care what anybody. It is annoying. I’ve There’s one I think it’s the cal the saddle dome where every time even though they’ve seen your face every time you go in and out of your spot you got to show your past. So it is annoying. Adam, I feel you there. Okay. Thanks for chatting with us. Hey Adam, thank you for making tonight worth coming in on the free game. We love you, buddy. No problem. Anytime. Love you, too. Thanks. Okay. I love it. As Adam said, guys, it doesn’t mean anything yet, but it definitely doesn’t mean nothing. Elias skating with the team and on the trip. What an addition this would be if he can come back. Certainly, they’re they’re down bodies and and you want a guy like Elias Lynholm back into the lineup as soon as possible. And it it’s certainly it it is a big thing, so that he is on the trip. If he wasn’t going to play or had no chance of playing in these three games, he would not be on the plane and heading out to California. So, we’re not assured of him playing, but it’s trending in the right way as long as everything goes as planned. The plan is that he could be close by the end of this trip. Yes, that’s that’s why he’s there. That’s why he’s there. The other thing is if he’s home, he’s skating with maybe one other guy who’s coming back. They got a few other on injury and he’s getting nowhere near the, you know, the reps, etc. uh here at least we’ll have morning skates. I’m sure have one off day practice as well somewhere as we take a look so at some other roster moves. Yeah. So just with that I’ll read it really quick but you guys can see there uh Michael Callahan recalled from Providence and we knew that Jordan Harris was placed on LTIR earlier this week but finish your thought on Elias and we’ll talk about Callahan back. Yeah and you know I asked Marco about it yesterday and he was very clear that he’s not sure. I think he’s hedging because I we all know he wants him to play but and and I think he thinks he can maybe play but he doesn’t want to say he’s going to play. Elias competitor wants to get back. They need him back if that’s not obvious. They do especially even more so and but there’s always a setback. there’s always so they can’t rush to say that.

Another great start for hopeless limphome. This guy is an utter waste of a good pair of skates. I ask any fan of the bs to tell me what he was doing on the first 2 goals. He never goes into a corner and just retreats to the front of the net to ? Loose every battle for position. His game is no better than a pylon on the ice ? Zero purpose and zero fight in his game. Charlie's absence is shocking when he's expected to step up. He can't and won't. Zero interest in a bruins style that needs a bit of nasty.
