Mets BLOCKBUSTER Trade Coming Soon? | New York Mets | Mets Hot Stove | Mets Trade Rumors | Mets News
What’s up, M fans? Welcome back to the channel. as the possibility of a blockbuster trade coming soon between the Angels and the New York Mets. This is something that has been talked about on WFAN today in regards to a host that stated that he got some information from an agency that represents one of these two players that a possible trade between these two teams and prominent players on each of these teams could be happening and have been talked about over the last couple of weeks in regards to these two players and it will shake up the court of the New New York Mets. No doubt about it. It will change the culture, so to speak, of the New York Mets. The change of this core could possibly happen in this trade, Met fans. And will this get Met fans excited? Would this get MEF fans upset? That is yet to be determined. But once we get through this video, once we see the players involved and the contracts involved, everybody can make their own opinion. Now, I am not saying personally that this is a true report. This is true information or is it bad information. I’m here to provide the information that I’ve heard, that I’ve seen that I’m going to determine on my own, and I’ll let you know what I believe about this information, if it’s true or not, and then you can make your own decision and your own opinion based on this possible blockbuster trade between the two teams. This will definitely shake things up. Good or bad is yet to be determined. We have to see the play on the field obviously, but it is an intriguing trade. No doubt. This should be a talked about trade. This should be a conversation between fans of this possible blockbuster trade that could be coming down the line this off season and has been talked about apparently with this information. So, it it is going to be an interesting trade, guys. I no doubt about it. But can this possibly be done? Because both of these players contracts are not easy to deal with. And that is something is that is going to get people riled up on in both fan bases, but definitely the Mets fan base for sure because look, you don’t win 83 games last year and miss the playoffs when you obtain Juan Sto and expect to bring the same typical lineup that you had. And that means bringing back Peter Lonzo, bringing back a lot of the same core players and think things are going to just change because well, it’s a new year. I think we’ve learned our lesson or hopefully learned our lesson with the New York Mets that at some point you got to change something. Something’s not working with this core and you got to make changes and this trade definitely does that. So, who are the two players in this trade that can shake up things for the New York Mets? Well guys, here are the two players and it looks like this. It is Mike Trout going to the New York Mets and the Angels get Brandon Nemo. Now, everybody’s going to be like, whoa, is that a fair trade? Well, considering what the Angels have done today by trading and Tyler Ward and what other Mets get in Mike Trout, that is something that is very interesting between the two teams. But on in the Mets sense, you are getting a future Hall of Famer. Yes, you’re getting somewhat of a broken down injury-prone future Hall of Famer in Mike Trout. Brandon NMO has played more games than Mike Trout. You can say that Brandon NMO has had better numbers than Mike Trout, but we know the flaws with Brandon NMO. We talked about it on Mets Hot Stoves. We talked about it during the season where Brandon NMO will go cold for three months, ice cold, and not look like he can play baseball. Not only is he a bad defender, is that you’re paying him as a center fielder. You’re paying him to move to left field. You’re paying him because well, he had a great year and changed his whole outcome of what Brandon Mo is and he’s got he got a massive deal. Now, you could say the same thing for Mike Trout. Hasn’t played a lot of games. Is not the Hall of Fame player, MVP caliber player he once was five, six years ago, eight years ago. But it’s intriguing. It is a conversation to be had. Sometimes you got to take a risk. Maybe the reward will be great. Maybe a change of scenery for Mike Trout. Finally becoming a player that is on a contending team. Championship aspirations. He hasn’t had that except for one year in his career with the Los Angeles Angels. This can be intriguing. But is it worth the risk? Why is it worth the risk or why isn’t it worth the risk is because of the contracts. Now, the Mets won’t be saving money here. Clearly, Brandon Nmo’s contract is a lot less moneywise than Mike Trout. They have similar years left on their contract years- wise. And the age is right there. Nemo’s 33, Mike Trout’s 34. So, those two areas are similar, but where they’re not similar is the money for the remainder of their bold contracts. And the contracts look like this, guys. Brandon NMO is making, you know, a little over 20 million. Mike Trout, on the other hand, is making around $37 million. So, it is around the 1617 million difference in contracts. They’re both uh free agents in 2031, right? Long way from here. They got same number of years left. Age is similar. Mike Trout has played a lot less games than Brandon NMO, but Brandon NMO is a guy that I don’t think the Mets can trust anymore to be quite honest with you. He he goes cold forever at times and he’ll have two scorching hot months and he’s nowhere to be found after that. So that is something you just have to worry about as Met fans is are you willing to do this? Right? This is an uncomfortable trade. No doubt. But I’ve said this many times on many shows. Sometimes you got to get uncomfortable. Michael Fulmer for Yana Sespus was an uncomfortable trade for Sandy Alderson. Yes, Sespus was younger. Yes, Sespit was a different type of player, but he was a bad defender. on base was bad and the Mets didn’t like how he played the game. It was a risk given you’re top number one overall pitching prospect for a kind of a big question mark but a potential big bat. The Mets took a huge risk in 2015 because they needed the bat. It worked out. Not saying that this Mike Trout for Nimmo trade would work out for the New York Mets. But it is bold Met fans. It is a bold bold trade if the Mets do it. And you know what? You got to have some cojones. If you David Sterns to do this, now the important thing here is Met fans. Would you do it? My opinion, I’m not the biggest fan of Brandon Nemo. I think he’s terrible on that field. I think it’s a huge, you know, negative. And when you talk about run prevention, NMO is part of the problem. No arm. His range is bad. And yes, he’s had good offensive numbers, but I think they’re very bloated. They’re very overrated because he has two crazy hot months. And at the end of the year, you look at his numbers, like, how can you trade this guy? This guy’s awesome. But when you break it down month by month by g by by by numbers, it’s not that good. And NMO’s a problem. And this will shake up the core Mets fans. So, in my opinion, would I do this trade? I would. Would I be hesitant about it? Yeah. I’m not saying I’m 100% sure about it, but I’m willing to do it. You know why? Because I think a change of scenery for Mike Trout in his, you know, limited years left in baseball. Clearly a guy who was not the same type of MVP type player. change the scenery potential of going to the playoffs, being on contenders that he has not been on except for basically one season making the playoffs. He’s a guy that I’m willing to take that risk on. Yes, I’m willing to take on that 161 17 million per year more for similar amount of years to NMO’s contract. And the age is basically similar. 33 for NMO, 34 for Mike Trout. I’m willing to do it, my fans. I really am. I really am. I’m willing to take a risk. You got to take a risk. You got to bite that bullet sometimes. You got to do it. If you’re gonna make changes on this team, big teams don’t win championships by not taking risk. You got to take a risk at some point. And damn it, I’m willing to do it. You’re not giving up any prospects. You’re not giving up, you know, a big prospect package for a guy like Mike Trout. You’re basically swapping contracts, adding 167 million to your payroll, and you could get a guy that can maybe, I’m not saying he’s going to give you five more years of really good seasons, but I think you can get two really damn good seasons from him, maybe three, and that just might be enough to get the Mets over the hump with the addition of other players, obviously. But I think the change of scenery will help Mike Trout. I really think it will. Now, injuries, you never know. But let’s not act like Brandon NMO has been, you know, the the poster child of health, cuz he hasn’t. And I’m willing to do this trade. Now, my friends, I’m going to ask you, are you willing to do this trade? Yes or no? Here’s the other question here. Do you believe this information is actually true? I’m going to go 5050. But because the WFAN host that said it is a huge Met fan and I like to think that he’s not going to lie on the internet that is a guy like Evan Roberts. Finding out from an agency source that represents one of these players that he is that this can possibly be going down. I’m willing to do it and I’m going to believe it. I think it’s a little bit more than 50/50. I’m going to say 7030. So my friends, I’m going to ask you, do you believe these rumors? Do you believe this information? Do you want to make this trade? That is a decision for you in your opinion to make. And let me know in the comments, guys, what you think. I want to thank you guys for watching. And as always, Met fans, let’s go Mets.
In this video, i’ll be talking about a potential Mets blockbuster trade coming soon between the new york mets and los angeles angels. Huge risk but a very intriguing trade between these two teams. Who are the players? And will i do this trade all discussed in this video!

Not going to lie this trade would make Stearns lose his job😂and probably not get another one
I’m cool with them pursuing outside the box moves, as long as they make sure Lindor-Soto-Alonso get another crack at it with some different players and improved pitching. They were the best offensive trio in baseball last year (even better than the Dodgers trio) leave them in place and address any other parts of the team
Let's go Mets
Unless it’s trout, nothing excites me
Mike Trout ! Yes 👍🏾
Hard pass. One injury prone player for another? No.
When was the last time Trout played 130 games? I wouldn't make that change in a million years.
He’s 34 years old…why even consider it.
I love this trade
If it’s a straight up trade… why not. I’m not a fan of Nimmo either
I don't like it. Trout will go to the IL after two months and that will be that. And Trout is basically a DH now anyway. That being said, if it did happen, I'd want Trout to tear it up like he used to. I don't believe this is a true rumor.
Trout 39% K rate and the durability of a graham cracker… that’s Joey Gallo and Chris Davis territory. And it could be all ours for $16 million more a year than Nimmo. Dumbest move on the planet. If Sterns does this I’m becoming a Phillies fan.
ROBISON CANO
Even if we like it, WHY would Nimmo waive his no trade clause to go to the Angels? I don't see it happening for that reason alone. Keep in mind Nimmo wants to get to the world series too, and this has been his only team, he would like to finish his career here.
This is not happening
Click bait no real proof that this is even a thought with both teams rather have Nimmo
I want to move on from Nimmo BUT…..Mike Trout is washed….and his contract is far worse than Nimmo
Naw, im good
nooooooooooooo!!!
It will have to include other pieces not just straight up.
If this moves does happen, it keeps him away from the Phillies and that hitter's ballpark. He also grew up a Phillies fan to add. He does have a FULL NTC, so wherever he goes is up to him at the end of the day.
Are the other pieces included going to be Zeto, Injured Ben Joyce , josé soriano and a prospect?
Oh hell no
Angels adding money for the Mets. This is a $16 million difference for a guy who’s injured as often as he plays. Change of scenery doesn’t prevent injuries.
Injury-prone trout
