And 100% it seems whenever I’m watching
Feels like 100% icl
Less than ideal
Sometimes I see a stat & think, “hmm, it doesn’t feel like that could be right.” This is not one of those stats.
Well thank goodness they invested all that money into Chris Jones
Can they stop blitzing on then
70% of the time, it works every time!
The reason it feels so bad this year is because they can’t even get home on sacks anymore. We used to get burned a lot, but still clutch up in big moments and generate huge sacks.
That has been completely non-existent this season. Part of the greatness of Spags scheme was giving up big gains when it didn’t matter and they could get the big sacks when it did.
I somehow blame the raiders. Fuck them.
Some more stats on the defence and this weeks upcoming opponent.
Is also like to see this stat without the raiders game lmaooooo 95%?
Would rank, or does rank?
5x 1 score losses, maybe this is the problem? Not passing the eye test this year
I knew it wasn’t just my imagination. We’ve been so bad on third down. Even third and long
I blame conner
As soon as I saw 3rd and 16th I already knew that was an automatic completion
Ahhhh yes. . . The old break, don’t bend strategy. Classic 😘👌
This is a stat I felt was true but didn’t know for sure. I’m much more confident on 3rd and 5 than 3rd and 15
We have ran out of rope with the Broncos game. It’s do or die for everyone in the team going forward. 0 margin of error.
3rd and long is automatic
I mean anyone with eyes can see these guys are tired. Winning that much for that long is impossible to sustain. The sugar high was always going to crash… Season ends Sunday
3rd down defense is something that has REALLY been bothering me. The offense has its issues – no doubt. But the defense is a significant concern and I don’t trust that side as much as I trust Reid and Mahomes to figure it out.
Yup. No more bend, but don’t break. This year, they are definitely breaking.
its always a wide open guy cause we sent 5/6 and didn’t get the sack
Defense has dropped off a lot since 2023, which was probably the only truly great defense Spags delivered in his time here. While I think teams are somewhat dialed into some of the Chiefs calls at this point, the talent being fielded has degraded as well. 3rd down is Spags blitz specials and they are not getting home. Watching Bolton as an extra rusher in particular is just painful.
Right now we are a top 5ish offense with an average defense. One of those needs to get slightly better and be better in situational football to get over the hump in these close games.
…Or special teams needs to improve, considering that phase has been maybe the more consistently bad/mediocre phase of play this year?
That’s what happens when you have zero pass rush. Also what happens when your offense is so bad that the defense is gassed half the time.

Like last year….no pressure does that

This is not a good team.
