I'm surprised no one has posted about this deal. We know GrayRod has had some injury issues but this is a massive "sell low" for a pre-arb guy who is a couple years away from being arguably the top pitching prospect in the game. Also, O's are badly in need of starting pitchers and have many outfielders already.

Grayson should probably just become a reliever. And considering the package the A’s got for Mason Miller… the O’s probably should have asked for more.
Makes me think Baltimore knows Rodrigues isn’t healthy or something like that. Seems like a terrible trade without all the info.

Grayson is Mr. Glass. Seems like every part of him that goes into moving his arm shatters. He hasn’t pitched for well over a season. He had one good run of 4 or 5 good starts in 2023 then got rocked in the playoffs and has been crappy and injured since.
