20 games into the season, you kind of know who you are as a team, right? There’s enough of a sample size. So, for the Senators, fellas, where do you see this team going? Who are the Ottawa Senators and what type of team are they and where are they going? Okay, so I think it was last week, we talked on a podcast I do with Elliot for Ottawa. Now, effectively, your core is in place. You don’t have to worry about contractwise for a while now. Coming off being in the playoffs last year, I think this is this is green light zone. You just hit a beautiful drive, striped one down the fairway on a par five and you’re 210 out looking at the green. You’re not laying up. You’re not playing it safe. There’s no water in front of you. You are gripping it and ripping it. I think this is where this team has to be out now, especially now like with the Atlantic division seemingly so in flux because there’s a lot of teams spinning their wheels. So, I think there’s there’s some real quality positioning there for the taking. If you’re Ottawa, I I think they’ve they’ve got to take a run at giving themselves an opportunity at least to be in a position where you’re playing the first round of the playoffs on on home ice. Uh and then kind of go from from there. Again, when I look at everybody else in the conference, say, you know, alone in their division, there isn’t a ton right now where I’m saying, you know, best of seven, Ottawa is going to have a near impossible task trying to beat them four times. It’s a much different set of circumstances here for for the sends and with a lot of their own internal business taken care of like now is the time to strike.
