Denver Broncos Linked to a GAME CHANGER…

Denver Broncos are first place in the AFC. If the NFL Season ended today, the Denver Broncos would have a bye week and host all the playoff games until the Super Bowl. Today, the New Orleans Saints made and interesting move as they cut Brandin Cooks. Brandin has had 6 seasons where he’s eclipsed the 1000 yard mark. In this video we break down Brandin Cooks and why he could be an interesting flier for Sean Payton, Bo Nix, and the Denver Broncos. Ultimately, I think the chemistry and culture this team has is SO uncommon that the Denver Broncos should roll with who’s gotten them this far. Bo Nix loves his guys, and they love him. Let’s ride it out with this squad and make a deep run in the NFL Playoffs!

  1. I say dont get him look he cant stay with a team there is something wrong with him….but if you look Coach Payton will get him because Payton well get him because he is from New Orleans….and he is old and no one wants him…thats is what Coach Payton likes if there old or Hurt if its one of the Two Payton will get him..but again I hope they dont but him being old and from new Orleans…Payton will probably pick him up

  2. The conspiracy theorist in me thinks Walmart paid Saints to release him, he’ll clear waivers and refuse to play for other teams, and Denver will “sign” him, simply for insurance and because SP is loyal, Cooks contributes to the culture, and deserves a SB ring. That said, Harvey is NOT a good behind the line runner. He runs into more butts than holes. Not sure if he progresses and I see his value as a pass catcher but golly he’s bad at running the football right now. We need another RB.

  3. Hey Ben! Amazing time to be a Broncos fan isn't it? I think I would not be opposed to picking up Brandin Cooks & here is why that might be a smart move if he passes through waivers. I get the fact that he's 32, & his stats have fallen off the last two years. But 32 is not that old for a WR who would likely be playing as a 3rd or 4th option going up against the other team's #3 cornerback. The reason I think Cooks might be better than people realize is because we can look back at what we all figured was coming for DeVaughn Vele. As a rookie in Sean Payton's offense he caught 41 passes on 55 targets over 13 games played. He averaged 11.6 yards per catch. In New Orleans, after 9 games played, our promising rookie we traded away for a 4th round pick as a grand total of 6 catches on 13 targets for 54 yards, & only 9.0 per catch. If Vele, who we know played well for Sean, could drop THAT far with the Saints coming off that good rookie year, then it stands to reason that there is something else going on for Cooks other than just his talent taking a nosedive. The QB situation in NO is a major issue. Factor in the fact that Cooks was always going to be no better than the 3rd option in NO with Chris Olave there. The Saints clearly have a major problem at QB & we know that Courtland Sutton's numbers took a huge dive when Denver was playing with guys like Drew Lock, Joe Flacco & Case Keenum. Let's look at Emanuel Sanders as another example. In 2020 he caught 61 passes for 726 & 5 TDs for Sean Payton in New Orleans. He was 33 at the time. Cooks has played for Payton before. I can't see there being any kind of culture issue with him. At worst he's some insurance in the form of a veteran receiver in case something happens to Troy or Marvin. Bo benefits by having more guys to throw to & I don't see a downside to this.
