The Eagles may have REVEALED a bigger problem than we thought…

So, it turns out the Eagles might have a bigger problem than we thought as there’s now been multiple counts of a potential tell on offense. But don’t worry, the good news is it’s on their radar and Jaylen Herds is locked in for Detroit. In this video, we’ll get into that. Plus, the latest injury updates ahead of Sunday’s contest, Vic Fangio possibly changing his thoughts on Cooper Dean’s position and why there’s still plenty of reasons for optimism on both sides of the ball. So, let’s talk about that and everything else around the birds. But first, let’s run it. [Music] [Music] What’s up, guys? So, after some more film review and game breakdowns, it turns out the Eagles might have a more immediate problem ahead of the Detroit Lions. Now, I’ll get to that in a second, but the positive is the Philly is running away with the division. And at least at this current moment, they control their destiny, sitting at top the NFC. It’s fraud. Look, the offense is certainly in question, but let me ask you a serious question. Are you legit concerned that the Eagles get exposed this weekend? Call me crazy. Personally, I’m not. And actually have some hope they’ll start clicking again versus the Lions. However, I also can’t sit here and say pessimism is totally unwarranted after having watched one of the least inspiring offensive efforts of the 2025 campaign in Green Bay. One that Johnny Paige called conservative, predictable, and lacking any rhythm, aggression, or creativity. Basically, a show. If we’re if we’re really focusing on winning and doing our job, like we can’t just keep slapping the band-aid over defense doing their job and getting us out of trouble, it’s at what point are we’re going to pick up our slack as a offense that that we’re say we’re so great, you know, and that’s what I’m getting at. It’s not about we’re not winning or I don’t care about winning. All I care about is snap a step. No, it’s been week after week sometimes we not contributing. We’re not doing our job on offense. So, you can’t just keep slapping a band-aid over that and you expect to win late later late late in the year and you think you gonna go to it at the end of the year. It’s not gonna happen. I’m sorry. It’s not gonna happen. It’s not gonna happen. You know, and last year what it was, thank you for the ring, but it’s a new season. They adapted. We have to adapt and we have to continue to like get better and try to find new ways. So, that’s that’s where the frustration comes in cuz it’s not about winning you guys. Like, I want to win. Yes. I want to help contribute as well. Do our thing on offense as well. That’s think that’s fair. from my time being here with him all the way back to 22. We’ve had a really strong relationship. And so even throughout the year, um him and I have great talks even today, yesterday, like there’s nothing changed, you know, in our relationship. Uh he’s in my office a ton hanging out, talking about football, talking about life, talking about things, what we can do differently, what we’re doing currently. So, I think from that standpoint, like nothing really changes and and he knows kind of how I feel about him and where we want to go and what we’re trying to do and and obviously like he’s a main part in this offense and when we game plan, you always want to look to 11, 26,6 and 88, you know, that’s where the ball needs to go and it just kind of goes from there. So, I I think when you look at our relationship all the way back to uh to 22, you know, it’s nothing’s really changed and him and I talk continuously pretty much about everything. I mentioned this on the last live stream, but what AJ said is entirely accurate. It’s just I think most of us are just tired of the same narrative almost every single week. Yet, when you dig into the film, especially, AJ’s not wrong. Like, it’s almost unfathomable how one game before the bye-week, the Eagles had their best offensive game based on drive efficiency since Super Bowl 52, only to then get a week off with extra prep and post their worst offensive game based on drive efficiency since the 2023 wildcard loss to Tampa Bay. Seriously, how does that happen? It’s almost impressive for how up and down it can be with each given week. And sure, the eye test says it anyway, so not like you needed the film, but you look at some of these numbers and it’s kind of hard to believe Philly beat the Packers. Plus, as Dennis Elman continues to track this year, the Eagles are far and away having the most three and outs in the NFL. In fact, brace yourself, but Dennis went all the way back to 2014, and no team has had a worse three-andout percentage than the birds have had this season. Yeah, we’re talking about 11 years, and Kevin Patulo’s offense is the worst in that category. They’re a bunch of amateurs. when you look at that in the self scout stuff and even last week it’s the efficiency on first down or second down right and you get to those we we I think we’re very high right now I can’t remember the exact number in third longs and that’s the issue and so we really just got to continue to find ways as coaches to just stay out of those um and you know sometimes penalties happen I got it uh but we just got to stay out of those negative plays and stay out of things that keep us off track so we can stay in a manageable third down because we’ve been really good in that third and kind of short to medium and good on fourth down and you know as you know We go for a lot of fourth down. So, that’s kind of the key. If we’re in range to go for it in fourth down, we’re in good shape. Again, miraculously, KP is somehow getting away with it. But, you know, perhaps the silver lining is that it can’t get much worse. Take a look around you, Ellen. We’re at the threshold of hell. It’s crazy because the Eagles are 7-2. Yet, holistically, I mean, seriously, you look at this. Holistically, the offense really can’t get much worse. Heck, take it a step further, Philly has been outgained by the other team seven times to two. Which is why I say it’s kind of unreal that the birds have flipped that script to win just as many games as they’ve been outgainained. Plus, for those taking the glass half empty approach, like Dave Mangles, I’ve seen the other narratives get thrown out, like how he signed a guy who retired after 5 weeks and traded for a guy who retired after 10 days. And oh yeah, they also brought a guy out of retirement to try and fix the vibes. Meanwhile, Dory Jackson, a guy who Vic Fanu admitted he wouldn’t have signed if it was up to him, has played a majority of snaps in five of the seven games because he’s apparently the least worst option. Why is he so negative? Yeah, it’s exhausting. As Mangles also pointed out that the Eagles scored 10 points and okay, fine, that one. He has somewhat of a point. But he also believes AJ Brown has quit on the team and Jaylen and AJ aren’t going to be able to play effectively together. And who knows, maybe I’m insane to think this, but I believe things can be different. But I will say that it doesn’t hurt to see John Clark report that Big Dom grabbed AJ Brown to come over and talk to owner Jeffrey Lurri at practice with John describing the conversation as quote very good in reference to AJ’s public frustration and them all wanting the offense to be better. I love you, but don’t ever take sides with anyone against the family again. Ever. Okay, remember just a couple weeks ago, Luri kind of told AJ to get in line indirectly with his comments about hypothetical trades, but I’m still not concerned that they can’t get things figured out. Because most importantly, even though QB1 certainly appeared to miss 11 during the game on Monday night, I appreciated AJ not falling for the question from the media about his thoughts on when he’s open and Jaylen doesn’t get him the ball. Certain players are have different reads, you know, despite what it looks like when somebody take a screenshot. Um, and and you can’t go off that, you know. uh that he has certain reasons. He has a lot going on in his head that he’s trying to process and then also he has uh pressure in his face. I think vocalizing this stuff every once in a while is important because it like keeps people accountable. I like doing it more in house but um sometimes AJ I think just his personality he lets this out in a more open way or does it in a way that makes it more public facing. But once it’s already been stated like I mean they’re trying to get him the ball. So, at this point, it’s like, okay, what’s what are we gaining from continually talking about this? And I think that, and AJ, I think, knows that. I think he’s just frustrated, and he’s a guy that wears his heart on his sleeve. But I’ll say this, he’s a very well-liked person in that building. He was a great teammate in my time, my time there. I understand his frustrations and I understand the offens’s frustrations. I mean, the game is a very hard sport. That position in particular is very reliant on multiple people. like it’s it’s a very frustrating position to play at times. So, um I think that all in all, none of this makes me think any less of AJ as a teammate. I I think very highly of him and I think very highly of him as a player and I think that ultimately the Eagles will be very good moving forward. I’m choosing to believe that too, even as inconsistent as they’ve been. I know that might sound even more ludicrous when you realize the birds ran their jumbo package 11 times on Monday and uh never once, not a single time called play action. Your way, but they’re amateurs. As bad as that is, there’s actually something that’s even worse that Philly is going to have to figure out if they want to get back on track, especially before Detroit. So, check this out. When I was at the game, it did look like the Packers defense knew what was coming most of the night. Of course, that predictability has been an issue for the entire season for a really long time. So, you know, maybe he could just ride it off that way. But shout out to Johnny Paige for revealing that it could be very likely the sign of something worse. Since going back to the tape, Green Bay’s linebackers barely even reacted to the fakes, leaving Johnny to say he’s convinced this is a clear sign that the Packers had identified a tell. Now, I’m curious to know what you guys think. So, let me know your thoughts in the comments. But seriously, look at the eyes of the second level defenders, and they don’t react at all. Again, the counterpoint is maybe down in distance played a big factor based on tendencies. And sure, I’m sure it did. Yet, take another example of a run play later in the game where the Packers came flying downhill to make a stop. And the Packers had zero worries of that play being a pass. By the way, this wouldn’t be the first time the Eagles had a tell figured out by an opposing team with Saquon admitting he realized he could potentially be tipping plays in the run game earlier this season. FYI, for the record, that was somewhat debunked. Although Seaquan still admitted he needs to be careful about what he does or doesn’t do. Anyway, having gone back and watched the film a couple times, I haven’t found anything so egregious to say it’s one play or anything just specifically pointed out, but it just really felt that way based on what we’re seeing from the Packers coming off of the by-week 2. Maybe there’s something with an individual player. I know it’s fun to pick on Brett Toth, but there is at least something there. And I say something there, but I’m just meaning more so because Brett Toth was being the new center, helping the Packers maybe gain an idea on what the better run play would be if he has a tell having not played it as much recently. Who knows? It’s total speculation, but maybe something from the O line. At the same time, the running game has not been effective for most of the season. So, until they get that figured out, maybe it doesn’t make too much of a difference if the Packers just said, you know what, screw it. They’re not who cares. They’re not going to run very well anyway, so we don’t have to worry about it. But again, you go back and look at those plays, those couple different instances, you can look at it for the whole game. But just about every time that it was play action, there’s no one biting on it. And when they run, they’re come crashing downhill with no hesitation. Regardless, it does bring into question just how sustainable the formula is. After all, this is the most expensive offense in the NFL, and it’s not playing anywhere close to it. Oh, a couple more stats for you. The offense through 10 weeks has had their fewest points per drive, fewest yards per play, fewest offensive EPA, and fewest 20-yard plays during the Nick Serriani era. Saying that and thinking about that is kind of terrifying. However, they are the best in a couple key areas in turnovers with only four this season and red zone offense. Like I’ve said to you guys, um you want to be able to be explosive, too. But um we our first and foremost is always win that turnover battle. Um you know we know that that that’s a the key for us um and how we pro and we take care of the football um and that goes into every element that we have um offensively, defensively, coaching. Um we spend a we sure spend a lot of time on it. So, um, we’ve we’ve had some we’ve had some success here the last, you know, two years, uh, playing this way, and we’ll continue to try to get better and work to get better. Um, but we’re definitely going to not going to sway from the the, um, turnover battle. All right. On one hand, I can appreciate not turning the football over, but my gosh, I mean, we can take some shots from time to time. We’ve seen instances where they’ve done it and they’ve been perfectly fine. Heck, we heard Jaylen Herds after what, the Rams game, where he was saying, “We don’t have to play to lose.” Now, I know there’s a fine line for that. They’re not turning the football over, and the stats say record-wise, when the Eagles win the turnover battle, they win most of those games. But there’s still a happy medium here. Also, I’ve seen some it’s giving 2023 all over again comments. But come on, that’s such a lazy take. First off, because Vicio’s defense has made a lot of good quarterbacks lives a living hell on game day. Plus, we’re coming off a game where the birds blitzed at one of the lowest rates all season, yet we’re still able to get to 40% pressure. And like I brought up on past videos, the defense is just getting going. When you shop at Nordstrom, you get good stuff. By the way, Fangio was asked about Michael Carter’s addition potentially kicking Cooper Dean to the outside, and he said possibly. Although the follow-up on Adori Jackson still leads me to believe that Adori will continue getting another shot to stick at CB2 after his performance in Green Bay. No, I’m not really surprised. Um, he’s a survivor. You know, I think this is his ninth or tenth year. So, if you’ve survived that long, you got a little something in you. And hopefully he can take that game, build on it, and keep playing good. Look, kudos to Adori for some solid play last week. But the Lions, as we all know, is a completely different animal. Ultimately, we’re going to see what’s sustainable and what’s not at CB2 and for the offense and really everything else. But forget all your power rankings and other nonsense. Philly has beaten five playoff teams and is doing what matters most. If you’re doing the power rankings, I don’t know if the Eagles are in the top 10 right now. But guess what? Who cares? That’s not anything. The power rankings are fictional. It’s just something that for us to debate about. They have beaten the Chiefs in Arrowhead. They’ve beaten the Buccaneers in Tampa. And they have now beaten the Packers in Lambo, as well as taking care of business against the Rams and the Cowboys in their building. I think at the end of the day, the fact that they are 7-2 and they’re defending champions. That is all that really matters. Like I’ve said, maybe it’s too optimistic for some people, but we’re seven and two despite all the issues. Also, side note, Jaylen Herz admittedly didn’t play well either against the Packers, but we know how he bounces back from less than stellar outings. And although a lot of the media attention and focus has been on AJ Brown’s comments and distractions around the offense, QB1 is focused. We’ve got the Detroit Lions. So, um I’m I’m going definitely put a halt to to that. I think the more we drive that, the more of a distraction it becomes. And I think ultimately it’s about the group. And so, um, things have been what they’ve been and they are and they are where they are. You know, we are who we are as a team. We’re all we got and we all we need. And so, in terms of who we have this week, um, we got a really good opponent coming into town, a team that is um, if I can only imagine that’s has been waiting on the opportunity to play us given um, history and um, given how good they’ve been um, been a great team, great great uh, organization, great coach and great culture. And so, um, my energy, my focus is purely focused on trying to be the best that I can be this week. Uh, trying to lead this offense, um, in a way that we need to be led and, um, be the leader I need to be in this time. Come on. You don’t think Jaylen and the rest of the squad knows the story lines headed into Sunday? I mean, QB1 chooses his words carefully. So to say I can only imagine has been waiting to play us. There’s only one thing he’s referencing and that is the fact that this is Detroit’s Super Bowl. You know, since wide receiver Aman Ross St. Brown said this past off season that had the Lions hosted Philly, you would have seen a different NFC champion. Of course, we’ll never know for sure since the Commanders took care of business last year. But make no mistake, the Lions are ready for the fight in Philly. Boy, you go someplace and man, they wave at you like, “Man, we’re so happy you’re here to play against us.” This is not one of those places. That’s that’s it. It’s as far It’s as far from that as you can possibly get. And uh it’s just I I mean I I don’t know. I love playing atmospheres like that. And I just know the type of guys we have. They’re I think they’re going to eat it up. I really do. Dude, that game is going to be so hype. And speaking of that game, congrats to Tony Rash for winning the ticket giveaway from the past video. Tony, you know the drill. just need to email me or DM me on one of the socials or like I said, Gmail thefilly [email protected] so that I can confirm it’s you and get the tickets to you. Now, for everyone else, feel free to let Tony know which game he should choose. It could be the Lions if he wants it to. That would be my personal preference, or it could be any others. Let him know in the comments section. If I don’t hear from Tony, though, I’m going to pick one person in this video in the comments to win those tickets. So, drop a like, leave a comment, give yourself a chance to win. Again, personally, I’d pick the Lions game because this is a huge opportunity, but I’ll get more into that in the game preview video Saturday. For now, let’s get you caught up on the latest injury updates for both sides. So, for the Eagles, it’s as close to the best case scenario as you can hope for because you see, just about everyone was a full participant, especially the offensive lineman who were estimated as limited. Remember, Wednesday was a walkthrough, but Cam Jurgens is the only one who was limited, but he was still getting in some work during practice. So, all signs are that Cam Jurgens is going to play, meaning we’d have all five starters out there for the first time in quite a while. However, Detroit is not so lucky because they have four guys who did not practice and three of those being quarterback Tyrion Arnold, safety Kirby Joseph, and starting tight end Sam Leaporta. Also, defensive lineman Pat O’ Conor was downgraded to a DNP after being a limited participant during Wednesday’s practice. And then as Anthony Deona pointed out, there’s about nine other guys who had limited participant designations on Thursday’s practice. So the Lions are incredibly banged up. You see Penny Su, that’s the biggest noteworthy one. You’d imagine they’ll play, but he is dealing with an ankle injury. Keep it posted. Again, game recap on Saturday, but there are a ton of injuries that the Lions are dealing with. All right, I’ll keep you guys updated as we get closer. Also wanted to thank everyone because we just passed 146,000 subscribers. I know it’s crazy. It just continues to go, which is ridiculous. I am incredibly grateful to you guys. The reason we do these giveaways, it’s even possible on the channel, is because of you and this community. So, thank you for that. Make sure to drop a like, leave a comment, get under there, subscribe, turn the notifications on. I’ll catch you in the next one. This has been the Philly Special.

The Eagles offense has been historically inconsistent, however, Philadelphia may have unintentionally tipped their plays in the Packers game. Meanwhile, AJ Brown stands up for Jalen Hurts and had a meeting with Owner Jeffrey Lurie to make sure everyone’s on the same page. Kevin Patullo tried to explain the offense’s shortcomings and Vic Fangio sounds set on Adoree Jackson as his CB2 (for now). Plus, I’ve got the latest injury updates and it’s positive signs for the Birds but not as much for the Detroit Lions.

  1. Congrats to Tony Rash for winning the game tickets!! Reminder if Tony doesn't claim them then I'll select one person who comments in this video to win them.

What are your score predictions for SNF? I'll say Eagles 28-24

  2. I don’t know most of the criticism seems fair but on the other hand Packers defense like so many others this year have been very, very solid. Packers especially, coming off an embarrassing loss to Carolina.

Makes me wonder if we are complaining that the offense is not clicking or if we are complaining that the offense is not clicking against excellent defenses. These are two different things.

  3. Looking forward to the Detroit game to finally put the speculation to rest. I know it's a different year and team. Maybe I'm a Homer but the Birds will play at the level of the opponent. Go Birds

  4. It would not be fair to call Adoree the biggest problem or worry w the way the defense has been performing compared to offense. I’d be offended if I was Jackson at this point

  5. Amon Ra and Sean Peyton. Hate em both for the same reason.
“ACTUALLY WERE SUPERBOWL CHAMPS BC IF YOU PLAYED US WE WOULDA WON BUT WE COULDNT BEAT THE TEAM WHO YOU DIDNT JUST BEAT… BUT SMOKED IN THE TITLE GAME 🤓 WAHHHH “

  6. Going back to 2014 Kevin Patullo was the Assistant wide receiver coach for the Titans. 2015-16 he was the Quarterbacks coach for the Jets. He was the wide receivers coach turned Pass game specialist for the Colts from 2018-20. Then from 2021-24 he was the Passing game Coordinator for the Eagles until becoming the Offensive Coordinator.

If he hasn’t figured out how to have a successful passing attack before becoming an OC then he’s incapable of being one.

  7. I think adoree has honestly been playing very good since week four and I think he will work as corner back 2 especially with our upgraded pass rush. Go birds! 🦅💚

  8. Until they threaten to miss the playoffs, I'll continue to sleep well while not giving a tinker's cuss about these supposed issues.

If the Eagles have discovered that they are, in fact, sabotaging their plays with some kind 'tell', it's obviously a step in the right direction to recognize it. In fact, recognizing it is absolutely imperative to them figuring out what such a tell might be and, subsequently, doing something about it. As the meme goes, you can't fix an issue that you're not even aware of.

Beyond that particular issue, the rest is just cortisol-inducing noise – similar to getting upset because "someone on the internet is wrong, dammit!!!" It's no good for your health, fellow Eagles fans, to artificially heighten the already destructive stress levels demanded by today's sick, twisted culture.

Try to relax, and Go Birds! 27-20 🦅🦅🦅
