Mauricio Dubon traded to Braves. What do you think of the return? #Astros #Shorts
Well, there you go, Astros fans. The Astros have just traded Mauricio Don to the Braves. My name is Eric Heisman with the Lockdown Astros podcast and they make the move. It may not be the player you wanted in return, Nick Allen, and basically a backup infielder. He didn’t play a lot last year, but he had a good year two years ago, so he may be a reclamation project for Dana Brown and Houston Astros. But this fits the mold. Um, Debon was going to make a little bit of money next year, and now you have a player that has team control past uh the next two seasons. So, uh, this is makes some sense and it doesn’t take you out of a potential Brendan Donovan trade. So, Brett’s going to talk about this on the Lockdown Astros podcast next. So, go and make this your first listen every day.

He was my fav,..wtf
Nick Allen did play most of last year. He ran Arcia out of town taking the SS job in Spring training and was replaced himself in or around August and was back up SS rest of the year.
Worse hitter and worse glove. Who is our utility now?
I dont care either way. Dubon was a great defender but he couldn't hit himself out of a wet paper bag.
So they traded for the same type of player.
Damn it is just bought his jersey
Great move, anybody that couldn't hit gets traded
Nick allen will get DFA
Im done in. Its going to take some time for me to get over this one
business is business
Dubon gets paid more. Donovan gets paid less. Extra money for Astros to spend on other players.
Braves fan here, You guys will love Allen’s defense but he can’t hit
Boooooo!
All crane cares about is saving money. He got Jerry jones syndrome after the early success. He has let so many good players walk becuz he doesn’t want to pay. only reason Correa is back becuz he got him cheaper then what he offered. Dubon was a solid player that could play anywhere if need be. It’s not that the Astros didn’t like him they just didn’t want to pay him. That’s Jim cranes mo. He think he is smarter and can get by like that but you can’t when other teams are willingly spending money to win. He wants guys on there minimum under team control. Hunter brown will be gone next when his team control runs out. But he payed walker and Jose abreu, montero how many millions this past year? That was a Jerry jones move. Could have spent that money on Breg
😢 im sad but it's business. I understand
So to save some small change, we trade the best utility player in baseball for a guy who is a good fielder at one position and can't bat to save his life.
Omg man someone please tell jim crane to fire dana brown
he had to go. he was a problem at the plate. great fielder. great teammate. his 6mil was not fit because dubon was gonna have to be obligated to be rostered every day 7 homers 86 hits in 133 games don't cut it
Finally making smart moves and moving low tier players at the right times. Time to load up on offense
Man Dubi was clutch. 😢
This is the locked on guy for Houston? He didn’t know Allen started basically all year for the Braves until Kim came in September? Wtf
Hate it
Hurry up and trade that sorry first basemen
If they don't make some game changers this off season because of the money they "saved", I think we will all know the situation with the Astros going forward.
i hate it and my day is ruined. good luck Nick Allen (this isnt his fault), but this is a terrible tade. Best utility man in baseball for Nick Allen. unbelievable. AND TO THE BRAVES NO LESS!!!
Could’ve done a better trade neither have a bat but dubi was an asset in the field and does hit the ball just no power. Bad deal definitely could’ve gotten a better trade
