Even though he hasn’t come anywhere close to his 22-23 production, I’m still not over him

  1. He seems like a nice guy. But he just doesn’t give you that honest effort on a consistent basis. We’ve seen it across every team he’s been on. He gets off to a strong start, but then when he’s asked to do different things, he doesn’t give you that honest effort.

  2. Yeah, Kuzey was great that year, really wish it had worked out better. I mean last season petey had a year like kuzeys last year here… only thing is that he has a contract. Maybe if we’d kept kuze he could have bounced back too, but with the way management runs things in Vancouver on the razor’s edge between failure and moderate success, we can never afford to wait on a player

  3. I like to think that he and Petey really complimented eachothers game. He may have been a bit slow, but once he entered the offensive zone he was really good, and having that dragger type player gave them an extra option… Miss Kuzy.

  4. Haha. My dad can’t let kuzy go. During last season he was like “If we could put him next to Pettersson now, Pettersson would have 40 more points. HE SCORED 40 GOALS!”

  5. Garland didn’t sound like he loved his preparation habits re: getting his gear on super late every intermission.

  6. One of the most meme-morable signings of the org along with meme coach Boudreau. A welcome presence among the mostly stoic and guarded personalities in that 21-22 roster and they somewhat disrupted the country-club aura that permeated the locker room. He was like the funny exchange student that they were forced to live with for a year.

Kuzy and Boudreau were hilarious in their own individual ways and they both injected life in the locker room. The roster was shit but the coach bump we got from Boudreau plus Kuzy’s inaugural 39-goal season was the much needed seratonin after the dire Green/Benning years. It’s unfortunate that it was all temporary and that it didn’t carry over the next season.
