Today is November 20th!

Amed Rosario turns 30 today! The infielder came up with the Mets in 2017 and played with the Mets until 2020 when he was traded on January 6, 2021 with Andres Gimenez, Josh Wolf and Isaiah Greene to Cleveland for Francisco Lindor and Carlos Carrasco. Rosario spent the 2025 season with the Washington Nationals and New York Yankees.

Tarik Skubal turns 29 today. The 2024 and 2025 American League Cy Young Award winner has never pitched for the Mets but it is possible he still could!

Michael Tonkin turns 36 today, the right handed reliever pitched for the 2024 Mets and Yankees after spending several years with the Twins and in Japan.

The non-tender deadline is Friday evening. Teams need to decide whether they want to offer contracts to their arbitration-eligible (and pre-arbitration) players. Those who are not tendered contracts are sent directly into free agency without exposing them to waivers.

The Mets are teaming up with New York Cares for their 19th Annual Coat Drive presented by your local Toyota dealers on Wednesday, December 10, from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Mets Team Store at Citi Field. Free parking will be available in Lot G. Fans bringing a new or gently used winter coat will receive a voucher redeemable for two (2) tickets to a select Monday – Thursday Mets home game in 2026. Fans will be limited to one (1) ticket voucher. Fans who donate will also receive an exclusive 20% discount at the team store. Some exclusions may apply. Please note that non-winter coats like windbreakers, jean jackets, raincoats or other light jackets will not be accepted. Fans will be limited to one (1) ticket voucher. Free parking for the Coat Drive will be available in Lot G. Lot G can be accessed through Gate 1 on Seaver Way.

  1. That Ottavino bit is fascinating lol. Apparently he said when Andy martino did one of those all New York team things he picked verdugo over Nimmo and Nimmo got really mad at martino

Also apparently said DeGrom never wanted to be in NY. Nothing against the Mets, he just needed to be away from civilization. One of those guys lol

  2. NBC got Sunday Night Baseball, hopefully they don’t treat it like throwaway garbage the way ESPN did.

But now apparently [MLB.TV](http://MLB.TV) is being operated by ESPN? Don’t know how that is going to work. I wasn’t too happy with the service last year.

  3. It was probably a big nothing burger or sports talk filler but I’m surprised I didn’t see it here: Evan Roberts said he had a tip that Nimmo for Trout had been a discussion or idea from one of the sides.

  4. It’s that time of year where I really miss baseball. Just like every other year, I find myself trying to get into Football, Basketball, and Hockey but nothing speaks to me the way Baseball does. I started watching the handful of complete games posted to the Mets YouTube channel.

  5. Amed rosario had a decent performance vs the jays in the playoffs was actually kinda happy for him.

  6. I’m not feeling the need to trade Senga, but if it opens up doors for let’s say a Skubal trade…maybe.
