Do the Steelers Miss George Pickens?

How do the Steelers view George Pickkins balling out the way that he is? Probably not surprising, but think because they know he’s an ultra talented player, right? Um he has a quarterback. He’s playing with a quarterback who uh you know still can spin it and be very productive with Dak Prescott. So none of that is a surprise, nor should it be a surprise, but that isn’t the reason why they they got rid of him. Why is it? Let’s get down to some brass tax. It was disruptive in the locker room, Rich. um you know uh late for meetings, late for games. Uh I was told that the teammates, his teammates were fed up with it. Um you know is it’s only going to be a matter of time probably before the same happens in Dallas if it hasn’t already. But that’s the biggest reason they did it. Now would have it looked wonderful to have that tandem with DK Metaf? Absolutely. But it’s part of the reason why they brought in DK Metaf because they knew they were going to move on from George Pickkins. He’s late for games meaning what? Whatever time Rich he was supposed to show up and I don’t know what that is, right? He was always uh late. And I will give you a quick example. Do you remember the incident last year where um you know the television reporter reported that he was going to play uh would be on limited snaps. They got the information from Mike Tomlin. And the reason why that misinformation was was transmitted to to I believe Tracy Wolson Wolfson if I’m not mistaken is because that’s what Mike Tomlin knew without talking to George Pickkins because he didn’t show up on time. He wasn’t there and when he reported to the stadium late they had to take him by by ambulance with a police escort to the hospital to have an a quick MRI or X-ray and when he came back they said he can’t play. So, that was an example right there of him showing up late and then it becoming a little bit of embarrassing for uh Mike Tom, you know, giving some misinformation to the uh to the TV reporter 90 minutes before the game. It looks like none of that’s happening in Dallas or there I mean he did he did were they like nodding their heads seeing him standing next to CD Lamb before the game and then getting flagged hugging the goalpost. I didn’t hear why he sat down the opening series, right? But I’m sure it was probably for some no no which I’m sure knowing George is probably occurring in

  8. So we trade away Pickens because he’s a problem and then trade for Ramsey, who’s a bigger problem. Someone needs to tell Pastor Mike, managing the talent is part of his job. To use his own words. That’s why they pay him the big bucks.

  9. I can’t wrap my head around how players do this. He’s been gifted with 1 in a 100 million physical talent. He does the difficult part of the job to be a great football player. But how somehow he can’t do the easy part of showing up on time and staying out of trouble.
    I really don’t get it

  11. This dude is coming off as a huge hater. Pickens has been a model citizen for the Cowboys. They got benched the first drive because him and Lamb broke curfew because they were in Las Vegas. 99% of young players like Lamb and Pickens are going to go out in Las Vegas and they lost track of time or something, but notice how they were both playing their asses off. Of course they miss Pickens, hes a top 10 WR and when he has a QB that can get him the ball like Dak hes a top 5 WR. That man has all kinds of talent and any team would miss him if they traded him. Thats common sense. Denying that fact is just as bad as saying Dallas doesnt miss Micah. They desperately needed a pass rusher and just because they traded Micah didnt mean they didnt miss him on the field.

  12. It was a CONTRACT YEAR! You just tell him that if he is late or causes any problems, he will be suspended. Whatever his issues, he wants the bag next year. He Woolf have stayed in line to get it (like he is). Trading him was a terrible move, especially for a third rounder. We would have gotten a third round compensatory pick for him if he left after this year anyway. So we basically got nothing. 🎉

  17. Dallas can have him. I’m sick and tired of these problem child players just because they are talented being able to do whatever they want. Sooner or later the other foot is going to drop

  18. I think people forget this his contract year so he gotta ball out he’s a good player with the potential to be a great player but his mind set and attitude stops him from being great this coming from a Steelers fan

  20. As a cowboys fan i was super worried about him, as he did not come across well at Pittsburgh, but right now he can behave as child as much as he wants with how well he is playing. Steelers wouldnt have been pushing towards the finals with this version of Pickens on their team
