Trading Fil away is something none of us thought would happen after he signed his big extension. But here we are almost 3 years later and it’s a very real possibility that may become almost a necessity.
The return he would generate is something that would be nearly impossible to turn down. However, if there ever was a GM that would, Trotzy is that guy.
I love Fil, he’s been my favorite Pred since he showed up almost 13 years ago. I would hate to seem him wearing another team’s logo, BUT I’m a Preds fan first, Forsberg fan second. In order for this team to get to back to Cup contention, this trade is almost a must.

i’ve been watching from a distance so far this season but this seems like the right direction. this team needs to move firmly into a new era.
We ride with Fil
I’m mean, teams are going to call knowing where this team is. It’s worth at least hearing them out. With the injuries mounting and so many teams being in the mix for a playoff spot, it’s a sellers market.
Good
Move em all. We have to take the full step into a rebuild.
Trade him for Martin Erat!
It sucks, but you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do. Trotz has done well rebuilding the prospects from nothing. Continue that and add to it. Adding multiple 1sts and picking top 5 again would go a long way. If this is the best you can do with the veterans you have, then what’s the point in holding on? Nuke it.
Seems like they aren’t addressing the core issues.
I hope fil can get a cup someday. One of my favorite players to watch play the game and my first jersey I bought myself. It would suck to see him get traded but the dude deserves a spot on a good team before his window closes for good.
Forsberg’s the next captain and the exact winger McKenna and Martin need 😈
If they trade Fil, i’m done
I get why but I think I’m a Fil fan first. I ride with enough pain train teams, I could make the switch. My loyalty to the Preds was from a hat a cousin bought me as a kid. She’s a Pens fan so truly nothing holding me here
This would be a dumb move
Just remember he would have to waive a full NMC, I could be wrong but I suspect hes more inclined to stay in NSH than to chase a cup. You never know though
You can be a fan of a player and a fan of a team. I’ll root for Fil anywhere he goes and I’d probably buy his jersey on another team. Same goes for Saros and ROR. Love those guys.
For the greater good. Let’s get this rebuild going already.
This team was one last-second (Fil) goal away from being shut out two games in a row vs the Penguins.
Barely scraping by in wins, and being blown out in losses.
Stuck in the wilderness since the cup run and President’s cup.
I’m not a big believer in “blowing things up”. But I actually think the Preds might need it.
Just some food for thought: Colorado, Dallas, Florida, Ottawa, Tampa Bay, Toronto, and Vegas all don’t have a 1st rounder in the 2026 draft. If any of them come calling the price is even steeper in terms of players they’d have to give up.
Boston, Calgary, both New York teams, and Seattle all have 2 1st rounders in 2026. If Boston calls it’s a 1st and Hagens. Imagine a line of Hagens, Martin, and Stiga!
Preds, titans, and grizzlies all bottoming out at the same time. Blessed
Fil and Josi are the 2 guys that need to retire here. Everyone else can go
Good tear it down. This should’ve happened years ago
I would love to move on from anyone over 25 for futures. However I do not think this front office will actually move on from Fil unless someone stupidly overpays.
With him it’s more than a good hockey player, it’s a franchise asset that brings people to watch. A staple of this team.
Pagnotta is one of the least reliable insiders there is. Unless Elliotte Friedman is saying the same, I wouldn’t worry about it.
Perfect time to trade Fil. Should have shipped Saros and Josi a while back too. They aren’t easy moves to stomach, but they are necessary.
It would hurt, but if it’s best for the team and he gets a chance to contend, then you gotta do it. He deserves another shot at the cup.
Doesn’t he have a NMC? So it doesn’t matter if he doesn’t ask for it. I prefer to hang onto Forsberg bc I question how helpful it is for our young guys to just play with each other or meh veteran leadership. It would have to be a godfather offer for me
Trading Fill the only viable forward we’ve had in the history of our franchise that is OP, underrated and not been held back by a dookie offence is a terrible idea. Let the man ride it out and retire with Josi as well.
Greater good
