  1. upvote for a high effort shitpost. the victory pump had me about to make a video cut of highlights to drill music before i came back down to earth.

  2. I think that this roster with most of the HC in the league would be a bottom 5 team in the standings

  3. It’s like every time we win someone always has to find a way to bring some negative energy 🙄

  4. Billy Donovan should be some front office development type of guy and not a head coach. Couldn’t win with Durant and Westbrook, couldn’t get out of the first round with Lavine and DeRozan.

  5. Yooooooooooo

surprised the mods let in a reality based post

a fan base begging for AD is WILD AS HELL

  6. Remaining schedule:

    Weak teams:

14/14 games left v WAS, BKN, IND and NOP. (1 or 2 W teams)

    8/9 v CHA, DAL, MEM, and LAC. (4 W’s)

    2/4 v SAC, UTA (3 and 5 wins).

    = 24/27

    Strong teams:

18/23 left v 10+ win teams (OKC, HOU, LAK, DEN, MIN, SAS, DET, CLE)

11/14 v 9 wins (MIA, ATL, NYK, PHO)

    =29/37

    Average teams:

12/16 left (MIL, BOS, PHI, ORL, POR, GSW).

    + 2 TBD Cup games

NOP and MEM with Zion and Ja can be much tougher, and CHA and LAC could improve, but not the other bad starters.

I think GSW, BOS and PHO have done better than they should going forward like TOR (10-5). Bulls’ easy remaining schedule is a a real thing. Next 8 games are v MIA, ORL, GSW and 5 bad teams. Why not have a 10 game streak going into Cup QF’s…

  7. This is a lazy narrative. This team is exceeding expectations by quite a bit. They’ve had the hardest strength of schedule so far, have been battered by injuries to several important players (Giddey, Ayo, Coby) and have a winning record. This team is not a winning team without Billy preparing this team with a philosophy and identity – a much different identity than the one with Zach and DeMar.

Young teams blow leads as they learn to figure things out. That’s how it’s always been. The regular season is meant to sort things out. Is Billy the best coach in the league? No, he has weaknesses. But he’s a good coach.

  8. Same song and dance with Billy… this has been an issue of his since year one with OKC.

That said, this team stinks. We have no true big, and everyone outside of Okoro and Ayo are a liability on defense.

This is still a 38-win team at the end of the day, and Billy isn’t going anywhere… no matter how much we want a change.

  9. Billy should have developed Essengue by now. All those 6 games sucking would have been time to give him the nba experience

  10. Not being able to identify that the team wasn’t boxing out and putting taller and stronger guys in that are more focused on that like Patrick Williams was dumb to not try for at least a couple minutes he had four timeouts left with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter and still had a challenge also matas was waiting to come into the game at the 3 minute Mark for 2 minutes there was no ball stoppage and Billy didn’t want to use a timeout and what happened at the end of the game the Bulls had one time out and one challenge left it’s just plain dumb

  11. The roster is shit but that’s ok AK. The front office needs to try to develop Matas and Noa and Giddey not play to win every game. It’ll lead to 39 wins and play in but prolonging the development of two of your 3 most important players (Noa and Matas). Wins like last night do literally nothing for anyone but Jerry

  12. He’s not a good coach. Vooch and Giddy should never play on the last defensive possession but yet they are always in there. I’ll take Coach Spo all day as he out coached Billy the last 3 years in the play in. We beat them 4 times last year but when it counted he made adjustments.

  13. A win is a win. Sometimes winning is ugly.
Nice the Bulls can win one way this game and another way that game.

But 38 to 64 normally is a blowout and it says more about Portland losing than the Bulls winning. Sometimes how you win has a lesson to learn too. Are lucky last second second shots sustainable? How often will a team that dominates you in rebounding not capitalize?

If the team can’t recognize that certain players play regardless of low output while others are limited when output is high will be an issue against teams better than Portland, then yes it will be long season. We’ve already seen it against far better teams the Bulls was in it.

I think this is a play off team and if the players are consistently rewarded for high output this team will move past the first round. Only the coach decides who he will prep for that moment.

  14. This team is one superstar away from being 4th in the east with a second round playoff exit.

  15. With this roster, he’s been a magician. This is what we’re going to be dealing with until a top 10 dude walks through that door.
