Twins’ payroll currently $96 million will sink below Metrodome era

  1. Indians always win the division spending less, let’s see what happens. No Joe and no Pablo will be virtually impossible to do anything. With those two, I’ll take their chances especially if Jenkins develops

  2. So if Gleemans projection comes to fruition, that gives them under $20m to add to the bullpen, add a first basemen and some depth….. sick ass fools lol

  3. I grew up a Twins fan from the Kirby Puckett era. They were the closest team to my hometown. I’ve since moved across the country several times and settled in Royals territory. The Twins are doing a great job and making me question my loyalty and consider cheering for the local team.

  4. If the Twins spend 100% of what everyone thinks is their baseball revenue, they still can’t compete with the big markets. If the Twins offered a contract to a top FA, any big market team could easily match it. MLB is a joke of a league. Half the league can’t realistically compete for talent against the other half. Whether or not the Twins and other small market teams can compete for talent won’t be decided until the make up of the 2027 CBA.

  5. My god can they just sell the fucking team already?

My favorite bit was yesterday, any comments on the Field of Dreams posts by the team had tons of comments of either “sell the team” or “of the 5 players pictured (buxton, Pablo, Ryan, jeffers, Royce) only 1 or 2 would even be on the team when the game happens in mid-August. Every single comment like that was liked by Royce.

  6. It says something that I thought they meant in pure raw dollars, not as a percentage of league spending
