QB Jacoby Brissett Press Conference- 11.16.25 | AZ Cardinals
mixed feelings with how you performed today or is it just straight we lost and I’m not I can’t think of the other stuff. Yeah, man. It’s the the we lost, man. It’s it’s Yeah, it’s not a good feeling. This is a record that at some point you’ll look back on and appreciate or not at all because of the the circumstances. Man, I’ll throw for three yards and win right now. Like that’s how I genuinely feel that way. How do you feel like Michael did when the moment was on him? Michael Wilson. Yeah, I think that’s what we expected from him. You know, I thought he was going to rise to the occasion and um you know, like I said earlier in the weekend, my my press conference, like I was excited to give him this opportunity, well, for not me giving him this, but the opportunity to present himself for him for him that he was going to put on display what we all see every day, you know, and u you know, I thought he played his butt off and and made a bunch of plays for us. I know that uh GG just told us that he told you guys you’re going to come in tomorrow and get off the mat. Like as a player, how do you how do you adjust that mindset to get off the mat? Um I don’t think you should walk in the building if you’re not trying to get off the mat like that. I think that’s as simple as that, you know. Um you know, it’s adversity, you know. This is life, you know. This is this is this is sports, you know. Like this isn’t the first time we done somebody got knocked on our ass, you know. we just keep getting knocked in our ass a little bit, you know, and sometimes we’re knocking ourel in the ass a little bit, but it’s a going to be the last time. Uh, but you know, the mindset is to you get an opportunity to come into the building today, the next day you get to wake up, you know what I mean? Some people don’t do that, you know, and you got to take advantage of the day and the next day and then the next day that you get opportunity and then, you know, and and the hopefully the process helps you get the results you want, but sometimes it’s just going back to the process. How deflating is it to to make big plays and then have them called back by penalties over and over? Uh I I’m I’m I’ve been in league 10 years. I don’t know the words that you can use and not get fined. So I’ll just ignore that and and don’t even comment on those. You put up almost 500 yards. I know you obviously haven’t watched the tape yet, but what did you think cuz looking at the numbers you can think, okay, the offense was moving the ball. So what do you think stopped you guys from finding the end zone more? us us I mean plays in there where it’s just the details that we’re just not on and I don’t I really don’t understand how we’re not on those details but it’s us you know it’s it’s we have the perfect play called and it’s just the detail of what we’re supposed to do that we just don’t do sometimes and uh and that’s the most frustrating part is because it’s it’s it’s not the plays it’s it’s it’s literally us and it’s focus focusing in on the details when when it matters the most myself getting us into the right calls um you know and and and just execution. Is that stuff that you work on practice or is it stuff that just shows up in games? Oh, no, of course. I mean, like I said, it goes back to the process. You hope the process is right and and guys are and we get in those heightened situations and you know what I mean and it gets loud and you can barely hear hear me at sometimes. You know, we got to find a way to I got to find a way to better annunciate words and and get the get the correct play call out and and we got to find better ways to execute. What happened on the first pick? They caught it. But did you guys have two guys run the same route there? No. How much did the illegal shifts you? What did you say? How much did the illegal shifts? Yeah. What was in a part of that? I know. You said something after that, too. How did it bug you? How much? Oh, bug. Oh, I thought you said something else. Sorry. Uh, yeah, that was that was uh that was that was crazy. I mean, it was two times where I’m looking at us and I’m like, we’re set and like I I don’t we I mean, we we got to just go back and watch the film and try to figure out how to negate those. But yeah, that that was that was um that was a that was crazy. You’re 11 weeks in and all these issues with the details are still happening. What can be done at this point of the season that hasn’t been done already to fix it? Well, clearly clean it up. I mean, however you got to clean up, you know what I is it’s like a stain, you know? I mean, you try putting baking soda on it, you try putting club soda on it, you know what I mean? You try washing it, you got to figure something out, you know? Um, it it’s it’s it’s the the the mindset of not quitting on it, on the process and not quitting on the idea that we can clean it up. I think that’s what really cleans those things up, you know, and um and then it just comes down to the execution of it, you know, and I’m not saying that we’re going we’re not going to fail again because we’re we probably are. But at the same time, it’s just like you got to be man enough, you got to be strong enough to say, you know, I mean, I’m still putting my all into it and and um and then the results are going to be the results. And then hopefully sometimes the ball just bounce your way, calls bounce your way, you know, things go your way and uh but it’s the like coach said, it’s just getting off the mat. Kobe, I completely understand you thinking about the 47 passes that you didn’t win. You were a competitor. That’s the ultimate goal. But down the line from the future, it seemed like looking at it, you did what you could. You did all that you could. You fought back. You didn’t give up the accomplish, you know, accomplishing that many completions. Are you would you be able to look at and say, “Hey, it’s an it’s a very it’s a cool thing that I did even though it wasn’t a win.” Uh, I promise you, man, I can care less about that part of it, man. I hope somebody breaks it tomorrow or wherever. You know what I mean? It’s like I just want to win. Like, whatever the case, we got to do whatever I got to do. Like I said, I’ll throw for three yards and we win, you know? Um, yeah. I mean, the the never quitting, I mean, I’m never going to do that. Like, that’s that’s just not even in my DNA. So, that that just would they’ll have to drag me out before that happens.

Bring Kyler back. Fire Gannon and petzing, make Rallis HC
Jacoby is better than I could imagine. 100 % an upgrade from Kyler.
I don’t get where anyone thinks this loss is on Jacoby. He went for 450 yards and 47 completions. Darnold threw 4 picks today and they still almost beat the Rams. Defense got gashed and didn’t take the ball away when Purdy put it in their hands. Penalties took away another 100+ yards of offense.
Michael bidwell needs to surround his team with talent break open the wallet Michael or quit making Cardinal fans believe they have a winner in town
And I'll add to the last post I did it's not Jacoby fault The team just sucks
Stopped watching with 10min left in the 3Q…. i dont think i'll watch again tbh. Not until they start actually winning consecutive games and arent making rookie mistakes, literally. I'll save myself the depression and watch good matchups like Lions/Eagles rn or maybe jump on a mainstream team sigh
use the silent count, hand signals to call plays at home 🤣
Different qb more losses. And worse 2 losses in jg career. But hey this what you wanted and it’s all Kyler fault right ?? Lmao
Bro this man is 100% better then kyler. Give this man a full year and offseason to prepare as the starter and he'll ball.
Poor guy has no offensive line, hurt running backs. This is on Monti he had free agents and a draft that he made a choice not to strengthen the offensive line. Ive seen Kyler stand on an injured foot on the sideline more than anytime in his 7 years. The sooner he is out of town the sooner we can get on with building the offensive line. They will be lucky to get a sixth round pick for him.
Draft nothing but trenches and let Jacoby get his chance, and spend the money to get some killers that win the game off the bus!
this game was not on Jacoby one of his picks was blown routes if you watched the game the announcers explained that he gave us an opportunity to win this loss falls on poor coaching penalties and big mistakes
Only one home game won this season.
Brissett make your own sign language as a team!
