I think they haven’t played great, but I think the fact that both are showing up terribly is also a reflection on how dogshit our team defense is as well.
Goalies have been awful no doubt but it’s not like the defense has helped them out a bunch either. I

Yes. Yes it is bad. Time to consider shopping.
Defensively giving up an enormous amount of prime slot chances will do this.
The offense has been well below average. The defense has been bad. The goaltending is league-worst.
All of these things impact each other. Everyone is making each other worse. None of the players seem to trust anyone else to do their jobs, so the structure and systems fall apart. They’re demoralized, and half the team stops skating once something goes wrong.
Nobody thinks Binner and Hofs are two of the worst five goalies in the league. They’re playing that badly, for now, though. As bad as this clusterfuck of a team is playing now, it’s hard to see a way out.

I trust my eye test on goaltending. Maybe I shouldn’t but I do. Binner has had a couple rough games, and hofer several imo but not worried at all about either of them. I trust my eye test on the rest of the team too, and they’re mid to dog ass stinky bad crappy except for like 2-3 games. Unfortunately a couple of those games they were decent they didn’t get goal support so double whammy. I am worried about the rest of them. I’ve watched all but 1 game fwiw.

Before the season was talking with my new boss, who’s a devils fan, and one of things I said he should know about us is we have 2 high quality goalies
