Ain’t gonna be easy… but we’ll run the damn table!

  1. Yeah this is gonna be a real gauntlet but it’ll tell us what this team is made of. At least we play to our opponents level each week lol. Our only opponents that are currently below .500 are 2 games against the Vikings. The Bears only game below a sub .500 opponent is the Browns.

  2. We control our own destiny. Also get to prove that we can beat our own division and good teams, something that held us back last year.

  3. Part of this strength of schedule thing is that we play the Bears twice, who are 7-3.

If you think they’re actually that caliber of team then yeah, this is true. However, if you think they’re a bit of fool’s gold, then it’s not nearly this difficult.

  4. Our SoS is inflated due to Chicago (x2) and Denver. Neither of those teams is as good as their record.

Meanwhile Chicago has to play 6 games against probable playoff teams.

  5. Interestingly though, if you look at Generic Points Favored (the derived spread favor if a team played on a neutral playing field) from Vegas  and add 1.5 points for homefield advantage*, the Packers are favored in 6 out of the 7 remaining games. Detroit is the only game where the Packers are favored to lose.

Some of those are close spreads. (-1.5) at Denver. (-2.5) or (-3.5) hosting Baltimore. Obviously being favored in six games doesn’t mean it’s a lock you’ll win six games. But it’s interesting to examine. The Packers are flawed, but every team the Packers play have very real flaws as well.

    * Homefield advantage has been eroding in the NFL and the old 2.5 or even 3.5 you’d give to the home team is in the past now.

  6. In my own person “adjusted strength of schedule ” based on what seems like reality, I have it at .527.

This doesn’t make it easy by any means but also not the strongest .

  7. Damn, if we weren’t a bad team could easily have 1 loss. But good teams don’t lose to the browns, the cowboys, and panthers at home.

  8. Lord i wish we never invested in Hobbs, dude has been such a let down. Paying 15 mil for depth and he’s barely even depth

  9. Not a single easy game left on the schedule with the only team below .500 being a divisional opponent. It’s definitely put up or shut up time with this so far topsy turvy season.

  10. We have 5 divisional games left Lions and Bears have winning records. Vikings are the only team left on our schedule with a below 500 record. Ravens are 500 but I expect that to get better.

  11. The Panthers and Browns losses should have been reminders that we can’t take ANYTHING for granted. One game at a time, my brother in Cheese

  12. Lose to the Browns and Panthers and this post is spewing about running the table? This sub is so damn dumb sometimes.
