"They want to see what this group could look like with Brandon Miller actually in the fold, with a full lineup—especially with Kon Knueppel being an immediate sniper."
"LaMelo Ball is not asking out, to my understanding, and the Hornets are not actively looking to move him by any stretch right now."
[Jake Fischer] "I can tell you with absolute certainty that the Hornets are not actively looking to move LaMelo Ball anytime soon."

We are going Fisching!!!
One of the very few reporters I trust with hornets news.
I have no doubt the full team will look great for the 4 and a half games we actually see it.
I would love to be wrong and for his ankles to magically heal. He is awesome to watch. But there is no reason to think they will.
But, whether they trade him or not, it is good for them to project they want to keep him. It would make him happy if he stays or help maintain leverage if they trade him.
This sounds to me like he is saying there is very much an active market for lamelo ball. As opposed to his trade value being non-existent.
I’m not saying that means they are attempting to unload him, but it sounds like there are definitely people interested in working out a deal
Teams always seem to try to bleed the Hornets of their best players, and Hornets fans act like we can’t handle more than one star at a time.
As expected. Kelly Iko rockets mouthpiece got ppl in Rockets feeding him info because they want Melo. He doesn’t have Melo or Hornets sources
He doesn’t sound very confidence…
Makes sense. He’s got three years left on his deal and his value’s at his lowest right now. Hornets don’t have a choice but to just make this work, same with NOLA and Zion.
Fisch is only reliable when his reporting fits my narrative.
The one thing I take from this is that there is soem truth to the rumor that there may be some people in the front office who dont see Melo as a guy to build around and that Melo is probably frustrated with the moves the franchise has made prior to Jordan selling the team.
Teams are still prepping for us eventually moving on from Melo so even if Iko is 95% wrong hes still probably telling the truth that Melo is frustrated and that some people arent sure if Melo will work out.
I dont want him traded but its still a possibility he might be moved this season or during the summer if things dont look good with all our guys healthy.
Gonna go ahead and confirm this. Not a peep in the FO about a trade right now.
This is the first time I’ve heard Fischer actually say things for certain instead of just leaving everything as open ended possibilities with zero substance like he usually does. So yeah I think I believe him on this.
Makes sense, since even Lamelo has not been healthy the last 3 years at least, I can see him frustrated for not being able to be healthy or in a healthy rosters, other than that doesn’t make sense.
