NHL Highlights | Oilers vs. Lightning – November 20, 2025

start. Conor McDavid and Nikita Coutroof have accounted for eight of the last nine art trophy Art Ross Trophy recipients and we are underway with McDavid and Cooerov on the ice together. It’s Edmonton Tampa first of two. A quick shot. Cooerov snapped on net and a save made. York Strand in pursuit of the puck for Tampa. Chipped out softly by Pulson and Drytle and lofted behind the Tampa defense. The Lightning does most of its damage in the first period, but Dry Settle steel and one time ripped home and that’s a massive goal. Massive for Edmonton. And yes, Trent Frederick, congratulations. He made little work of this one here. Good little pickoff here by Leon Dryle. reversal. Lilligren tries to put this little sorry, tries to put this up the wall in the final 40 minutes. Dead last, but in the first 20, they’re second. Here’s McDavid to Drytle. Pound it on net by Bard and a save made. Maybe had time to just keep possession, get into position. Good stick to flex it down the ice. McDavid catches that. Still flatfooted and got one off the pads. Rebound stipped wide from the slot. Here’s Adam Henrik. gives it up for McDavid in front off the pen of Basilki. Spun back to Boo. Nurse up to Seavoy. Lead pass Adam Henrik. Maybe a twoon-one with Frederick. Henrik shoots and a save made by Basilki. Rebound Savo and he got blasted was stopped by Vaselki’s right toe. McDavid got it right back. Tampa just standing around. Shot booard. Hit his own man to rebound in on net and Vaselpski will squeeze it. So he’s a welcome ad for Tampa, especially with the injured guys on the back end. Shot by Nurse in traffic. Vaselki couldn’t find it, then finally jabbed forward and got it ahead for Braden Point. He’ll hit the line. Dish off to Paul. A backhand. A save made by Calvin Pickard from his. It’s Rosik that just can’t corral that puck. The sharp angle back end in is deflected a little bit by Gensel right in front. broke in with Arizona up the left hand side. Liber everyone’s elevated one-time ripped on net by Celli with the injuries to the top three. Moser one timer off and that ended up blocked. Tampa firing away but Coulson didn’t get it out. Agel tried to wedge it down low. Picked off byard and advanced out by Ekhol. Quick dish on to Poulson. Driving the net with a backhander and a good save made by Vaselvki. But Coulson tried to put it down low looking for Douglas. That was cut off and a big hit by Douglas in the corner. That Wman shaken up. Save made by Picker. Wman is shaken up. Douglas goes about 6’9, 245 lbs. And this is offside against Tampa. But Douglas is trying. Here comes Darnell Nurse here. He’s having a conversation. They’re going to go and they’re going to fight. Nurse and Douglas. This Douglas kid is tough. Nurse goes about 6’4 and a half. Nurse typically does well against guys at distance. Douglas a right hand lands short and then they kind of spin one another into the ice. Neither really got fully on balance there. And then this is Darnell coming down. Now he’s saying something. He turns both of them drop at the same time. He doesn’t have to drop the gloves, but he does. They both did at the same time. That’s Gerov with 99 career power play goals. Radish up top. Gerov inside and point denied. A brilliant save by Calvin Pickard and he’s able to cover that. And Douglas goes out with the big hit. Nurse with the instigator. He’s off for two, five, and a 10. And now the power play for the Lightning is point keeps jamming away. It’s a flurry of guys. Boilers have it well defended. Cut off spun turned it over again and now we are going to have two on two. McDavid in drive. Citle McDavid shooting and a save made by Vaselvski. Shenanigans against Florida in the preeason. Kind of took his club out of rhythm. A lot of his guys didn’t get enough reps contributed to the slow start. A blast by Walman and a save made by Masalowski. The kind of games they were. Yes. Here’s a lead. Koulac dropping it off. Tamasik a shot and a save made by Vaselki. He’ll put that to rest. Shadowed by Regula who played only three shifts last night against Washington. Nick Paul to the point. Lberg smashed it on that save. Picker rebound stopped as well. Paul can’t finish and hacked out of there by Rosik held in. Lberg another shot that was blocked shot. Good one-time from the blue line. It’s a little redirection by Gensel and he’s so good at that. Paul’s right there. He blocked out. Good job by Regula. Are you liking Chris Knoblock’s attire tonight? I do like it. Oh, he snapped his head around. He never does that for you. Sharp. He’s a sharp dressed man. Just to let you know. McDavid was there as well. Hegel the other way for Tampa. Snap shot off the rush and a save made by Calvin Picker. Celli to Nick Paul. Power play is over. Celli had poked away by Dryson. Quick one-time caught cleanly by Calvin Pickard. Tampa down. It’s top 3D. Here’s a short side pass shoveled in front by Samoy. Coming the other way. Gonalves. Play is on side, but SV’s shot. The blocker. Save made. The eyesight is holding up or whether it’s back to the drawing board. Yes, I got it. Game without Wman who got hurt blocking a shot late in that second period. Shots were 117 in the second in favor of Tampa, but the game is in favor of Edmonton right now. One- nothing. A centering pass off the pads of Calvin Picker. Here’s Dick Paul. Bushard comes over. Beautiful pass. Diving save and cold and Pickard got across to deny angle and then an off balance stop by Picker. He’s under duress and fought to keep the rebound out as well. Tampa peppering fired by Dut Picker masked off and the game remains. They’re both got a piece of this one. There it is. The spin pass to Haggle. He stops it for a split second. He’ll drop it off. He got punished. Hard hit by Boochar. A lead pass. Celli deflected back to pole. One-time Cooerov and a save. Calvin Picker. Coocher. And then he gets this little tap back pass in the high slot. He lets it. Warberg loves to step up and hit. Now Stew hits the line. Tried to feather it to point. A backhander and that went off the pads and trickled line. Earning some ice time. Big minutes. Big crunch time from John Cooper. Great point. Centering pass. And gets him denied. Calvin Picker. Terrific. You love to see it. Great work down low again. James with a nice pass out to get him. Comes up with a clutch faceoff win allowing Mapani a clear back to center. Lead pass right hand side. Nick Paul on his backand cuts inside. Shoots and scores for what a move too inside. picks it up. Backhand, forehand, elevation, short side. You knew it was going to take something special to get one by Pickard. Tampa has been pushing. It’s been waves and waves of chances. And this one here, tough one to defend. Big man, Paul, as he just brings this from backhand to forehand. The quick little release. And the last couple of years, 22 and 24 goals, respectively. Careerh highs being built on Gonalves. 7 seconds left. Lead pass Dick Paul too far. Could be icing. Waved off. Puck trickles free at the horn. A centering pass to Radic. Is too late against Cerelli. He is so good on these opening faceoffs to begin overtime. Celli Hegel. I can almost hear the theme in the background. Now a stretch play point. Sneaks behind McDavid. shoots and a save made by Picker. Now it’s Nurse being joined by Rosc. Nurse breaks loose heading for the net. Nur shoots saveki rebound Ros and somehow Masinski stuck out the left hand. How did that stay out? Here’s the other way and he scores. Tampa wins the game. 2-1 in overtime. What a sequence. Vasilki a game saver at one end and Gel the winner at the other. Holds it over and puts it right in the tape. Darnell Nurse with a shot. Second opportunity off the skate of all the kick and I mean right there for Rosik. He just needs to get it upstairs. This puck just doesn’t get high enough over the pad. Cooer off puts it up to Radish. He threads this one through and Jake Gel so good and tight. Finishes it off in overtime. Wow. Two to one’s your final. I mean, there are hundreds of games on an NHL regular season schedule year.

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Jake Guentzel scored the game-winning goal in overtime after Andrei Vasilevskiy made an incredible save to earn a 2-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

  1. IT HAS TO BE DUAL BOWMAN CONSPIRACY TO MAKE OILERS THE BEST LOSERS EVER BY NEVER SECURING ADEQUATE GOALTENDING . WITHOUT ADEQUATE GOAL TENDING THE OILERS ARE JUST GOOD ENOUGH TO LOSE 3 TIMES IN A ROW IN THE CUP FINAL AND BE THE GREATES LOSERS IN THE HISTORY OF PROFESSIONAL SPORTS. CANT BELIEVE THE PUDITS HAVE BEEN ACCEPTING OF THIS PLOT FOR YEARS NOW. YEARS WITHOUT EVEN TRYING OUT ANOTHER BACK UP. THIS IS COMPLETE FN BULLSHIT

  2. A bit devastating loss for Oil. They were so close to win.

Pickard played the game of his Life. He should have earned to win. But…the team did not score.

  3. Василевский в последнем сэйве, заметили как при 3 броске ногу приподнял? Это не случайный момент..💪

  4. *times below, indicate the plays ingame and doesn't reflect the time stamps of this vid*

@ 1:32 seconds of the 1st, the Oil's Trent Frederic lit the lamp on EDM's first shot. Then on the 33rd shot @ 2:32 remaining in the 3rd, TBL scored w/ traffic infront, to tie and force OT…everything inbetween and after, was emotionally spectacular…WoW what a solid effort for both squads!!

    *Edit: see above

  5. A lot of people here just don't see the danger the Oilers are in right now. They can miss the playoffs with this loss or the next. 32 teams, 16 in the West and it's obvious now every single team not only wants to beat Edmonton (and desperately so) but wants to beat them real bad! The Capitals? They are struggling and cleaned the Edmonton clocks! Where was Hyman? No show, again!
