NHL Highlights | Islanders vs. Red Wings | November 20, 2025

since winning four of five in a two week
span from mid October. We are underway as the Red Wings start with Comper and Casper and
Kane back for Hamick and that shot sailed wide of Sroken. Moving in Kane Johansson to the far
side for Kane right in front. Big stop on Comper by Ilia Sroken gets fired in by EMTT Finny and
the Redwing youngsters go off for a change as the veteran Van Remsteike is in there. Cop comes
over the boards joined by Rasmusen. Here’s Cop with a shot and a save there. Rasmusen on it
along with Van Remdikeke who gets tied up by Ryan Pulock. Came for Cop and a save there by
Siroken. There’s Matthew Schaefer with it now for Matthew Barczel. Looks in front. Oh,
what a stop. Oh, what a save. Right into the mitt. Right into that trapper of Gibson.
go to the bathroom or wind his watch. Oh my. And that’s how exposed to being on the goal
line you’re going to get. Holy mackerel. What a nice setup. Boom. Boom. And oh yay. You
know, and it gives That’s how stiff it is. Like a bushel basket. Yeah. Perfect right there.
That was Paul Mary could do nothing but laugh. Here’s Appleton right in. Oh, and Siroken’s
been hot tonight. the stick. Barcel on the wing for Paul Mary. Still a minute to go on the
confer penalty. And here’s Schaefer’s got it. The shot. He’s got seven goals already in his
for the Islanders. There’s Kane. Dumps it ahead for Casper who got dunked to the ice and a hit by
Adam Boquist. Loose puck here for Pacio. Scores. Open side. Right hand shot left side. How this
happened is how you’ll have to figure it out. Why Casper got knocked down right there at center
ice. Ah, it’s a line change. That’s what it is. They got caught in a line change. The Red Wings.
And they take advantage of that. They get the puck to Richie right at the right time. And he
makes no mistake to be the opening goal scorer of this hockey game. That’s his second goal. So one-
nothing the Islanders in the lead. Here’s Pullup. That got blocked. Barcel is on it. Knocked away
to the corner for Holstrom. Holstrom centering open as Druan. Druan wearing the old number 29.
Moved out by Ryan Pock to center. Played ahead by Hamick. In for De Brinket in for Raymond in
for Larkin at the goal post. Whoa. That gets blocked from Axel Sandine Pelica. Now Raymond
coming over as Kane goes off. Puck came free. And Pelica got back up from his knees trying
to make the play. Was their captain Anders Lee. Sandine Pelica joining. He’ll rifle it in.
The Brinket goes in after it. JG Tajio got a stick in there, but the Red Wings come up
with it for Edmonson. That gets blocked in front of that was Lee going to pick it up at
center is Edmonson. Loose puck at center ice that gets gobbled up by Pullock. Firing one
and he’s got a terrific shot. Boy oh boy, another bad line change cannon. Pretty much
scores right off the draw. It is two nothing. Well, if that’s not a wakeup
call, I don’t know what is. Have to see a replay on this
whether it hit something. Uh, you got to be I mean, I don’t know.
Did it hit uh hit something on the way? Different angle. We’ll uh we’ll
look for it. Here we go. Did it hit hard to show. gets kicked back there by Casper. He got double
teamed. A backhand shot by Kane gets handled by Sroen. And Barcelle with it. Matthew Barcel who
missed 52 games injured last season. Barcel’s got it. Stops and turns with it. Goes back for
Adam Pellet. That shot knocked down. Broke the stick of Kane and held by Gibson. So 341
to go first. In comes Lee. Save made off the chest of Gibson. Whoa. Lead pass here for
Raymond in the clear. Stopped by Sroken. Oh my. To bring it for Larkin. Lucas Raymond
off the outside of the goal. Now Larkin on it. Back in front. Nobody there. Taken by
Fquick. Penny turns up high with it. Nice move in tight and a shot and a save by
Siroken. Season tied with the Brinken. Hamick shot floated toward the goal off the
deflection. Turnaround try there from Cop. Puck came free and grabbed there by Pel. Going over to the bench and clutching his face
is Cal Richie. He’ll be attended to. Meanwhile, Duran scores in front. It’s Barcel with
a rock at top corner. Every opportunity they’re getting here now. The puck bounces
off the stick of Casper and goes right to the Islanders. And now this one that
looks like change direction again. Yeah. And Gibson, look at his reaction.
Gets the return pass from Barcel. Barcel ranked wide for D’Angelo.
He was quite a centerman. He wasn’t that big, but boy was he
strong. He had Gilly’s big Jethro they called him on the scores another
goal and they’re up by four. Horvac and 25th point. Oh my god, another deflect. Heinman picked up the second assist on the
Horvat goal. Pull off the primary. There’s a shot by Schaper and Gibson’s
got it and holds on on the wing for Apple. Button hooks inside
the line. Back here for Hammond. Danielson back to the point.
Shot loose in front of the net and grabbed by Sroken. Finny trying
to get there. Pushed out of the way. Puck to the line and out to center and
back for Simon Edmonson for more at Cider. Handled confidently there by Sroken
who certainly hasn’t been overworked. Cut to the corner for
D’Angelo. Just the nine shots. Kane’s got it. Looking for De Brinket. Fires one.
Blocker save by Sroken as you saw in the first period again some changing here of the lines.
Pomper back for Sandine Pelican Edmonson save made again and cleared. Icing here faceoff coming
back in the New York zone. I wouldn’t even try it. Here’s Larkin for Raymond. Easy save for
Sroken. Many years your family were thinking of you. Sure are. 93 years old was his dad.
Save by Sroen. Yeah. Our condolences, George. Save there, Sroen. No stick and we’ll eat off a lot of the clock
here as shot got stopped by Soken. Barcel will turn back. be a pretty
good time for a short-handed goal, I’d say. Change the momentum of a game. Even a
four nothing shot. Now, the Islanders have five short-handed goals this season. Leads the league.
And the Red Wings like to cut into one of their own and a save there off a Horvat one-time
by Gibson. Kicked at and held in by Schaffer for Barcel. And Horvat to Schaefer to Horvat
to Barcel. Save made. May may have got post. Picked up here by Barcel again. Barcel goes across to Horvath to Schaer in too tight.
Took the shot got through and held by Gibson. I doubt Lou even would have made an exception
for the exceptional shaper. There’s a shot and a save there by Gibson on the one-time from I
say somebody knew something before that year. Here’s a break in. Danielson in and a save
made. A breakaway in the second period by Lucas Raymond. And here another one. This one
by Danielson. He did not do much to to make the goalender move in Austria and from Austria. A
diving Sikas 153 on the other. He got there first and then had the puck come back to him again.
Look at the move in on goal. And what a goal. You wouldn’t expect it tonight, but what a night.
Three points in eight games coming in. He missed 12. his third game back and a career night
for him. Well, he caught Cider off balance and poked at it and he made the move. Went right
between two guys. See, Cider’s off balance. Boy, Gibson, what a stop. Here’s Kane the
other way. And what a stop at the other end. Whoa. Both goalenders stretching side
to side one end. And watch at the other end in a moment from Gibson right here. This went
off Horvat the heel of his stick and he had room. It looks like Gibson no words for wear
and then Kane. He loved to go to the backand and go high and he didn’t get it up over the
glove. Save made and off Sikas and just wide. Richie played it back, but the Red Wings able
to come up with it as this one is closed out as Ilia Sroken gets his second shut out
of the season, 24th of his career. Here.

  1. Honestly how asleep and uninterested in being correct about anything are these commentators? Pageau on the first goal? Can't tell if hit a D-man stick on the second goal?
