Kel’el Ware Gets Message From Udonis Haslem | Erik Spoelstra Sick Of Miami Heat Poor Rebounding

Good morning friends. Tobin here with you and thanks for checking out the channel. Hope you’re doing well. If you guys could subscribe, that’d be great. Appreciate you stopping by Miami Heat. You know, coming back uh from New York after losing on Friday night and uh couple of developments. You know, I usually come on here after postgame for road games. um just kind of spew. I I was not surprised by the theme of uh of the topic of uh that’s redundant of uh the post game, which was rebounding. We talked about this last night. It was uh it was, you know, I know the final numbers probably don’t look as nasty as they felt. Eric Spurs mentioned this about the turnover. It just felt like every key one was critical. And uh I made a I made like made a tweet about it and I tagged NBA Prime on it uh saying that Udonis Hasslam had to be sick to his stomach watching the Miami Heat. And he uh he did not find it funny. He did not he did not find it he did not find it enjoyable. Brandon from Miami. What is he doing? Listen, what what are we doing here? Everybody getting a call from Fat Joe? Is that what everybody getting a call from Joe? who I need to start calling. I got a lot of people Brandon on. You still on our side, Brandon? I can see you. I can find you. But no, I mean, of course, I’m a heat guy till I die. But I love good basketball. That was a fun game to watch. Up and down, a lot of scoring, a lot of physicality. I’m all for good basketball. You want to know what the thing is? Is UD is like the the realest of the real when it comes to his team, right? And everybody knows I have a lot of love for Udonis Hasslam. Duh. Uh he’s an absolute legend. He epitomizes everything about the franchise. He will not he’s he is not going to call out his team on national television. I mean mind you the man is a vice president. He’s an executive. These are people that he has relationships with. And now it doesn’t mean that it wasn’t right. Um it’s kind of like one of those things where UD is going to get home and he’s going to talk about it. He’s not going to do it at the at a at a at a dinner party. So he actually revealed afterwards where he sent Kell Wear a message. He texted him after the game and he said, “Get all the film with Mitchell Robinson. Watch every offensive rebound that he got on you.” Uh and he texted him back according to UD. Kell text him back says, “You’re absolutely right. I’m going to get to the film and that won’t happen again.” Um and obviously we’ll we’ll see how that goes. Because the thing that was frustrating about Mitchell Robinson, who you know, I think probably was probably frustrated with his game, you know, even though they got the win, like the guy was in foul trouble the whole night and he always seem, you know, he always seems to get into foul trouble against the Miami Heat. Uh he had some really frustrating ones that that that happened. So, like imagine if you know if he was out there even more, what kind of an impact he But the fact that he was out there even in those limited minutes and got double digit rebounds, especially on the offensive end just speaks to uh some of the impact that he had. But it wasn’t even Mitchell Robinson too, man. I mean, it was it was it was, you know, I and DaVon made this point after the game like I I can’t put it all on KL Wear now. Like, was there a little slump in energy in in the fourth quarter? Yeah, but I think that can also be conducive to losing like you know the it felt like it was getting deflating and so that stuff can snowball. I thought for the most part he had really good energy throughout the game and uh and was playing pretty good basketball. I think that he has been playing one of his better stretches of the season over these last few games. So, but they got to stay on him. And obviously, that’s the thing with UD is UD’s not going to he’s not going to lambaste it or or show weakness on television, but you bet your ass that that the man uh sees that as the all-time leading rebounder, which he mentioned on the broadcast as well, and is upset. So, I apologize for being a potter UD. Um, but some part of me feels like you were sick to your stomach. That’s okay, though. I know that you’re not going to mention that on the Amazon couch. And that show does remain awesome. By the way, I really really enjoy the Amazon coverage. Uh other than the stupid score bug wasn’t working for the first half, but other than that, uh I think uh they’re doing an outstanding job so far. It’s been nice seeing I love the the thing that they did with Norm and Bam. Norm was another one, you know, didn’t really care for all the scoring. Haime Hawkins, everybody kind of look, everybody postgame owned it. And Eric Spolster said after the game, he says, look, and this is the point he he he made this he says it’s costing us games now. And I think to that point is like he knows that this has probably been a flaw and he’s he’s been, you know, taking note of it, but ultimately when it continues to bite you in the butt, you need to do something about it. I imagine the Heat are going to practice tomorrow. I’m sure it’s going to be an emphasis going into uh on Sunday going into Monday’s game against the Knicks. And then of course you got the uh the Warriors coming to town on Wednesday, but it is something that needs to to be to be addressed. Now, look, uh, Hasslam mentioned this as well, and it’s a good point. They don’t have BAM, and and I didn’t want to I don’t want to go I didn’t want to go down that road yesterday just because like I think it sounds like you’re making excuses for a team that didn’t have Jaylen Brunson and OG and Anobi. I think it’s, you know, I don’t want to be, we didn’t have BAM. Obviously, listen, Bamio is is is the Heat’s best player. The fact that they’ve been even able to stay afloat without him was uh uh pretty surprising that they were able to to to grab any wins without him. Anthony Chang, fantastic article today in the Miami Herald. He talked about uh Bam Adabio’s impact. I’ll give you a little bit of this here from the Miami Herald. He says, “The Heat enters enters Saturday with the NBA’s third worst defensive rebounding percentage that 66.1%.” Eric says it’s causing us games now. That’s where we’re uh that’s where we are and we’ve said it enough. We have to fix it. We’ve been stubborn about it. Uh there are things that we need to do better. I feel like we’re fully capable of doing. Is it easy? Winning is not easy in this league. And Anthony writes, “Rebounding certainly hasn’t been easy since Adabio went out with a sprained toe. The Heat has posted the 29th ranked defensive rebounding percentage at 61% over the last five games, while Adabio has been unavailable to record uh after recording the NBA’s 14th ranked defensive rebounding percentage at 69.8% 8% with Adabio available for the first eight games of the season. Some of that is because Adabio’s actual rebounding, but the more subtle part is Adabio’s reliable box out ability often works to take out the opponent’s top rebounder and the ball away from him. Further prove the effect that he has a defensive rebounding percentage of 74% when Autobio is on the court for a number that would rank second best in the NBA among teams this season. Without Autobio on the court, the Heat’s defensive rebounding plummets to 62.3% for a number that would rank as the worst in the league among teams this season. Holy crap, Ola. So, yeah, they miss him. They don’t have a lot of guys. They don’t have anybody who can emulate him. This is something we’ve we’ve The Heat have been really blessed on this man’s durability throughout his career. Um, this is, you know, probably the second longest injury that he’s dealt with. And I still, we still don’t really know. I mean, they said on the broadcast yesterday, Cassy Hubbth said that a a return is near for him and Tyler Herro. Mentioned Tyler yesterday, too. I think among guards, I think Tyler Hero is a pretty decent rebounder. And um, that was the thing. I did I didn’t want to put this all on Kell although you know Anthony mentions the boxing out there but I did feel like there was a lot of scrambles where like this happened in the first half where Cat was like uh you know well not the one where he’s passing to himself ridiculous man the referee sucked last night. I mean like if we could just put it if we could just put on our honest pants for a second the the they allowed Joshua was even laughing about it after the game. He goes yeah I was allowed to pass the ball to myself. I traveled. Cat did the same thing. Um Spo had to use two challenges just to get their mistakes right. So he blew two challenge he had to blow through two challenges in the um in the second quarter. So they were really bad. But there were so many times yesterday I feel like you know I was watching three heat just like look at the ball and the and I’m just like who who you know Norm’s looking at the ball. Haime’s looking at the ball uh Davon they’re all just like Pella we’re all just staring at this basketball and it’s just like hey which one among you is going to go get the ball? So, I’m sure that’s going to be a disgusting film for them to watch. I’m sure it’s going to be a hard pill to swallow for them. Um, that’s okay. Um, ultimately, you know, that he can and get this great opportunity to try and do what the Cavs did, which is bounce back and split this series and, you know, kind of write the ship. I don’t know what the injury report is on that game. I’m sure we’ll get that later today. Um, if not, definitely tomorrow. But, uh, yeah, man. I didn’t mean to uh be an antagonist. Well, I don’t ever mean to be an antagonist. If it happens, I apologize, but I get it. Udonis Ham is not one that is going to rip his beloved franchise uh on national television as uh because by the way, he’s very good at this. Um but also, I don’t al I don’t think that I tweeted an untruth. I know that he’s comparing me to Fat. I don’t know why Udonis has him thinks Fat Joe is a Heat fan. I mean, he’s pretty New York through and through. I mean, there’s a lot. Listen, UD, you know, more than anybody there’s a lot. As Spo, how sick are you of all of all the New Yorkers that are flooding down here, especially for Snowbird season. Um, but that’s okay. Uh I I I the one thing the Heat are lucky are they have a guy like Udonis Hasslam to reach out to Khal Wear after a game like that and um you know try and you know explain where things can improve and and and go forth in this very very big second season for him and um we’ll see how the Heat bounce back from it.

Tobin reacts to Udonis Haslem sending Kel’el Ware a text after Miami Heat loss to Knicks. UD wasn’t thrilled w/ Tobin’s tweet about the Heat’s rebounding. Erik Spoelstra has had enough of it. How much are the Heat missing Bam Adebayo?

  1. No more small ball!!!!! We are wasting this talented roster! This team is more talented than most of their opponents but being smaller is killing these guys

  2. Why is dru smith getting minutes over kasparas? Why isnt vlad getting time. Why is wiggins defending Kat. Small ball is dead and ONLY SPO keeps playing it and gets mad about rebounding. BE MAD AT YOURSELF THEN SPO. YOU DONT PLAY BIGS EVER SO WHOS GONNA GET BOARDS

  3. What Mitch did won't happen again 😅. How many minutes did Mitch play 😅? 14 minutes was it 😅? That's not a lot of tape to watch 😅. Maybe Ware should have looked at all the tapes from Robinsons entire career regarding rebounding and change that quote😅 because it happens every game Mitch plays 😅 against EVERYBODY😅. Ask Bam, Udonis, Steve Adams, Joel Embiid, Hartenstein, Jaren Jackson, Goebert…😅 Mitch Please is a problem 😅 that watching tape hasn't solved yet and tape don't lie 😅. That's right, Bam gets it too 😅

  4. Tobin I told you two days ago and you laughed at me. Only Anthony Davis can fix this. Trade Tyler+Rozier+Pick. And now you have a rotation of Bam/AD/Ware…. Problem solved! We are scoring 130 everynight without Tyler. Why do we need him? This rebounding problem is NOT going away! Either you have it or you don’t…

  5. I predicted the Heat would be around.500 at 20 games in. Once Herro and Bam return then I feel like they can jump to a .600 team. Overall, I think Heat could win 45 to 50 games.

  6. Meanwhile NBA still holding Terrys contract hostage, which is criminal. Heat should be suing the NBA to veto the trade, get the cap space (pickup a big) and get their pick back…

  7. Disagree with UD Kel el Ware had a double double against an all Star Anthony towns I
Like UD but he definitely he wouldn’t have out played Carl Anthony Town after all the turnovers the guards made. Bam doesn’t make a difference in this game period bad coaching 😂😂enough said Want UD call out Nikola Jokic we lost the momentum when he got in

  8. The season starts and at least we just saw some flaws early. Miami Heat is not a perfect team, but we can shocked the NBA just like we shocked the NBA when we got JIMMY and those 5 years i think they try there best but fell short of the goal.
