I remember when i was a kid and the giants were seen as the one of the most prestigious organizations in the NFL. We were seen back then in the same way we see the packers, steelers, chiefs, eagles, bills, ravens, etc., now. I grew up with players like antrel rolle, brandon jacobs, osi umenyiora, hakeem nicks, bradshaw, justin tuck, etc. where it just always seemed like we had players that were tough and franchise builders.

We are one of more storied franchises in the NFL, some of the most super bowl wins, and used to have a home environment. Crazy what loosing for so long does. Feels like the death of a once great organization. Very sad

  1. We had that opportunity this year, and I still feel that injuries were a large part of it. I feel like we are a new DC and a couple pieces on defense away from being a respectable team again.

  2. I think so. We just need to convince the team every season that’s its perfectly fine to be good on offense and defense simultaneously

  3. Giants weren’t really even respected when they won in 07 and 11. Giants were basically in a must win or coach, possibly Eli(less on the 2011 run) , and gm get canned

The only times the giants were respected that I can remember was 08 (following 07 Super Bowl ), and going into 2012 season following the 2011 super bowl season

You seem to forget that even when the giants were good they were huge underdogs. Understandably so, it’s been a long time. Giants may have been underdogs every single playoff game on those runs

It’s the life of ny. Your wins are lucky and small compared to your losses which are magnified. What have you done for me recently business.

Sure they weren’t laughing stocks but there are very small times I can remember people just bowing down to the giants

  4. Just have to get Dart’s development right. Next coach has the potential to fix this org or put us back another 10 years.

  5. It’s a cycle. Every team except the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA will get a chance to be in the spotlight. Bad seasons happen. Whatever

  6. Sadly, there comes a point when you realize your team may not ever win again in your lifetime. Fortunately, the Giants gave me four great titles, each fantastic in their own way.

  7. I think it’s going to be tough. Ownership is consistently doing things a little backwards . We’ve now gone through 3 GM’s that will have the opportunity to pick 2 different HC’s. They seem to have an affinity to give players and front office personnel 2nd chances, that up to this point has not worked. It also doesn’t help with the way New York media can sway gullible fan bases into constantly giving players no wiggle room for error. It’s not a very attractive place for a player to come

  8. I have confidence in Dart that I never had in Jones even during the 2021-22 run. RB and WR are actually looking decent unless they’re named Hyatt. O-Line has majorly improved besides penalties. I actually don’t have a problem with the defense besides the coaching and the secondary.

We aren’t looking at success next season but if we play offseasons right, 27-28 could be magic.

  9. i think in two years we’ll have a resurgence with the current cast of characters looking more promising than anyone we’ve had in years

  10. With Schoen staying and their candidate list focused on “anyone that doesn’t threaten Joe’s job and has relations to the organization”, you’re looking at another two years before that’s a possibility **at best**.

  11. We haven’t been as close as we are right now since Plax cheddar bob’d himself.

Even when we made the playoffs with DJ, everyone felt like it was a fluke. Now with Dart, Skatt, Nabers, and Burns/Dex/Carter, there’s some heat cooking.

Add a few more key ingredients and we will be relevant again

  12. Ofc. We just have no idea when exactly that will be. It could be worse. We’re not the Jets or Browns type of pathetic yet.

  13. Team is in the best position it’s been in years imo. Despite what many think I do think with better coaching this team would be above .500. Also with Dart, the head coaching job will be the most wanted this offseason.

  14. No, I don’t think so.

This 15 year stink will be hard to remove. It’s been extraordinarily embarrassing.

The power structure is set and will never change. Tim is 43. Minimum 30 years of the same crap incoming.

  15. We’re on the verge of making a deep playoff run next year or two.

Our offense as is (when healthy) can hang with anyone.

Our defense has a lot of holes, but also has a lot of current or potential all pro caliber players (Burns, Dex, Carter, Okereke, Thibs?, McFadden?, Holland?).

For the first time since 2012, our offensive line is decent. And for the first time since then (no surprise) we have a productive offense (even with all the injuries).

The future is much brighter than it looks.

  16. We have dart nabers a good d line andrews Thomas skat

You’re acting like this is the browns

  17. It’s better to not tie your emotional state to shit like this. If they get better, great I’ll enjoy that. If not, well sucks to be them I guess.
