If we’re gonna dissect it, I don’t think the question is about whether Williams fouled Shamet, clearly he did. The question is whether Shamet fouled Williams before that, and more to the *point*, BEFORE the gather.
I happen to think that’s exactly what happened, but it would be a soft call. Then Williams forced the refs hand and here we are. Looks awful, but that’s what it is.
People that complain about this call haven’t watched KAT get called for this 1-2 times a game after absorbing much more contact than this.
