NHL Highlights | Stars vs. Canucks | November 20, 2025

on the ice to start this one as newest Canuck
David Camp settles in to take this face off on a line with Connor Garland and Brock Besser and
we’re underway in the second meeting of the year between these two teams. Robert Petravic to the
line and went off Sherwood and onto the stick of Ritz Kovian who feeds across. Bourc is rubbed by
Lankin it. How about that for a first save of the game. He couldn’t come with the puck though and
they score. Maverick Bourke on the other side. a wideopen net after Laninan made a huge save to
start. But the Stars have the opening goal in the opening minute as it’s a twoon-one. It’s
created. Lankin with a wonderful stop and as he keeps sliding on the fresh ice, he goes to
knock it underneath himself and it goes under him and the Stars pounce on it afterwards. Some
Canucks are on the south side of Lankenan and when it gets worked above the goal line, Bourke
is there. We’ve got Jamie Ben in his second game of the season after suffering a collapsed lung
in the preseason. Lenus Carlson and he scores. Canucks answer back at 306. He’s been heating up
lately. And this is a nice play for the Canucks to gather the puck in the neutral zone. And then
Carlson realizes he has a man coming with him but elects to be a shooter. Besser was coming down
the other side and with a defenseman trying to get in the way of that passing lane. Puck ricochets
to center. Ranson and has it. Leaves for Wyatt Johnston. Johnston and dishes off and a shot there
is handled. Knocked away but back and forth they go. Robertson in sweeps one around to Lindell.
plays the puck to the corner, hints after it, broken up by Marcus Patterson, but they score.
What a shot by Jason Robertson. My goodness, is he on a heater as he just snapped that one
over the shoulder of Lanken. And Robertson has another goal to give Dallas the lead.
Stick 12th of the season for Robertson. It looked like the Conucks had things settled as
Sherwood’s going to come and take this puck, but Robertson takes the puck right off him.
And that patented spin and shoot near side over the glove. 2-1 Dallas. Game starting
to loosen up a little bit. Not exactly how I think the Conucks want this type of
game. And he is not shy to shoot the puck. There’s a shot by De Brusk. rebound and tied
up. Going after it was Aatu Ratu. Beck is on to the puck. Oscar Beck reverses course. Still
has it. Leaves in the corner. Bor to the blue line now at the right point. It’s Hasten with a
wrist shot. Stopped by Lank and he stopped the rebound as well. Dallas is certainly quick to
pucks in this game. Here’s Cisson drops off for Evander Kane with a shot. Stopped. Big rebound
off Jake. This game sees Dallas in a two-1 lead over the Canucks. for this into the second half
of the first period. Rock Besser across. Here’s Heronic jumping up. Phil Heronic shoots. Stopped
by Otoner. Top didn’t get through. Hughes quickly across. Elias Patterson had it deflect off
his tip. Keeps after the puck. Comes back to Garland with room. Slap shot and through
traffic. Up back overshoot. Rinse and repeat. They’re they’re moving around. They’re finding
the open guy. Here’s Hughes with a shot. Knocked down. Rebound cleared away by Lindell just
before Sherwood. Patterson on the far side across for Besser. Hughes takes his pass. Drags
to the other side. Patterson side of the net. Stick handles in front. Nebraska the rebound.
Sherman as well. Penderson banging away. Scores. The Stars defense were having trouble in the
cuts. But two black two players right towards the blue paint. Penderson realizes he can get it
to the net. They’re just whacking away at it. And as Heisken barrels De Brusk to the ice, Jake De
Brusk is able to knock that puck with his stick. A surprised Ager right there. Patterson the first to
congratulate Jake De Brusk who just keeps scoring power play goals and we got a two- two tie. Nico
Ranch protecting the puck to the goal line. Gets a return pass. Granting him down low. Robertson hit
the post. Might have ticked off Lanken in first and Robertson that close to his second of the
period. Here’s Hasten to the line. 30 seconds to go on the power play. Mo Rantin from the corner.
Puts one across. Chance for hits. Kicked out by Lanka and the puck is cleared down the ice by Ken.
Broken up by Dallas. Sean did well to knock that one down. Passes to the near side. Cappo Biano
feeds back. Lindell the shot from the side. Stop. Rebound. Cappo Biano had it bounce over a stick.
Colin Blackwell and he wins it back to Hughes. Brock Besser cross to Patterson. Side of the
goal. Oh, Sherwood healed it wide. He was set up perfectly by Patterson. Hugh starts out up the
left wing. Kane moves in. Evander Kane with a shot and noter the save feeds it back. Kappo Biano to
Wyatt Johnson. Kappiano again attacking from the side. Puts one of the crease jammed on goal and
a nice save there by Lankin and off Miko Ransin. Johnston skates back for the puck. Garlandounding
him and out cameer to poke it away. Stars tried to break up ice, but Mackenzie McKron got his stick
on that pass. And here’s Cissone to Lenus Carlson across. Heronic shoots and I think he grazed
the outside of the post on the glove side of 250 bucks down the drain. And this is the shot
from Heronic off the outside of the post. Here’s Elias Patterson to Heronic again. Bill Heronic
puts another one on goal. Stick saved by Utinger. Canucks win the draw. Go to work with a man
advantage. Vancouver one for two on the power play. Hughes. Patterson with room. Dishes off.
Besser with a shot. And that hits Otinger and goes over the glass for a whistle. Down low.
Besser back up to Hughes. Fakes the pass to Patterson. Now Besser across to Brussier. They
bang away and Otinger’s got it. And Nebraska is trying to go five hole. He kind of holds it
and then cups around and it’s between the legs of Binger. He swings his back right leg from
it going underneath and all the way through. Sherwood Carlson Elias Person with a shot and a
stop by Andrew hangs on. Heronic into it after the whistle with Lean Bishell Johnson again. That was
just the second shot of the period for the Stars and Lankin had to be sharp to stop Johnson.
Banding again. Johnson side of the net cuts in front. Centers the puck. Ranching and banging
away. It’s loose. Lank trying to hold on to the left pad. And I think he did as Johnson is going
to take it towards the net. See if he can’t move it across quickly to Renton. And they dig away.
Oh, take it behind for a sec from help with Ratu. Did Hughes get a stick in there too? I think
just to drag it away. Nine and a half to go in the second. Here’s Garland in on the right wing.
Puts one to the middle. Comes all the way across. Besser. Stopped by Auter, but is able to send it
out. Skate onto it himself. Now poke it ahead to Bess in with Garland. Brock Besser. Garland.
Poke check by then Garland tried to bank one in. Shot on the other side. Oh, what a save byer.
He robbed Elias Patterson. And then the puck goes up ice. Garland that close trying to put it offer
to scramble back because of this shot here. Wow. Patterson and Garland move back in. Garland
having his stick held by Hasten. Fans react to that p center. Patterson great pass saved
by right in front of the net. Goalender player and Huttinger as he’s leaning to his left.
He’s checked by Kent who’s trying to skate the other way but tied up by Hasten and the
Stars get the puck back. Blackwell in on the right wing across Fox stopped by Lincoln.
Rebound. Oh, they couldn’t put it home. Robertson was checked by Heronic. Right
here. Robertson doorstep. Can’t get in. Near side. Here’s Robertson. Hasting it with
room. Robertson looking across. Feeds Hints. Stopped by Lanken. It Kevin Lank and another
save as Rupe Hints left fly from about 20 ft. job to keep Dallas to the outside, but they
allow this pass to the slot and Lankin and Vander to Hughes. Vander could only poke that puck
ahead, but here’s McCern. He’s checked. Stars tip the puck the other way. Chance for a break
here. Blackwell moving in. Blackwell scores. Colin Blackwell able to get behind the
defense. Canucks were on a change, I think. And then Dallas little board play and nice
little spin around pass from Fox and this goes up over the glove. It looked
like Blackwell was going to slide it along the ice and at the last moment
elevated that puck over the glove side. That went up in a hurry and the Stars take
the lead. Garland’s lost his stick and here comes Dallas twoon one. Ransin with ban. Miko
Ranchin backhander scores a spinning backhander that he put in off the post and Mo Ranchinant
makes it 42 for Dallas with 91 seconds left. Just creates space for himself. Realizes if he
spins it’s a forward. He might be able to help himself out. Backhand and surprises Lankin and and
his point streak against the Conucks continues. It’s 11 games now and it’s a twogoal cushion
for Dallas. Turning on steel. Quinn Hughes. Got deflects to Garland. Couldn’t get anything
on it. Kicked on goal by Heronic. Stars try to clear. It’s off the brush stick. Bounces to
the crease. Here’s Garland shooting. That was stopped. Garland finds it. Can’t test the
goalender. Steel. Quinn Hughes. Gris shot deflects to Garland. Couldn’t get anything on
it. Kicked on goal by Heronic. Stars tried to clear. It’s off the rough stick. Bounces to
the crease. Here’s Garland shooting. That was stopped by Auter. 40 seconds left. Canucks
pouring it on here. Trailing by two. Hughes for Patterson able to keep it on side.
Leas Patterson tried a shot. Peronic in the side of the goal. Stopped by Auter. Petravic
clears the puck around. Hughes can’t keep it in. And now down to 20 seconds remaining as
Hughes brings the puck in on the left side. Quinn Hughes centers the breast stopped
by reaches out and covers the push. Garland sends one towards the goal. That’s blocked.

  1. Sad to see such a generational talent in Quinn Hughes floundering his prime years on a bottom dwelling team. When are they going to trade him to Jersey? It's better for everyone that they do that sooner rather than later. I'm sure the Canucks could pick up a couple of young prospects to start a rebuild or retool. Otherwise, Hughes is going to waste this and next year, and the Canucks will get nothing for him.
