Oh yeah. No, they I mean they’re known for playing a really good structured defensive game, keeping the opponents on the outside and uh then try to strike when the opportunity presents itself. They got some firepower up front as well. And we did a good job in in PK as well of limiting their chances as well and and keep it to a one zero game for the whole game. Unfortunately, we uh had some opportunities. Sometimes they go in, sometimes they do not. Uh so overall, it’s one of those losses where it stinks that you actually lose, but it’s a it’s a step in the right direction from like a 60-minute game sort of a point of view. Yeah, there were good things to take out of that loss. Oh yeah, there’s definitely sometimes we lost. Uh the other ones there’s been some breakdowns here and there, maybe a bad period uh or a bad third half game or whatever it might be. And this one that we really stuck with it. We played our game uh did a lot of good things uh and we know that in a way that they want to go forward and and strike on opportunities. They didn’t even have any uh breakaways or or stuff like that today. So, which I’m very proud of the boys for uh keeping their head sharp throughout this whole game. Are some games just defensive battles that just felt like one through? Yeah. Yeah, exactly. That’s that’s this one was definitely that. What do you take from this home stand before heading out for a fairly likely road trip now? Uh trending upwards definitely. I might be weird to say with the loss at the last one, but there’s like I said, there’s been some breakdowns here and there in that game, but this one was a really good step in the right direction. And uh I’m looking forward to this opportunity to go on the road and uh our our goal is to come home with over 50% and 75% you want to win every single game. Uh there’s a long one, so it’s going to be a tough one to do. A lot of good teams as well. So we got to come out uh right from the gates and uh you know we can’t be sleepy in that first game because you don’t want to end up having a losing record right from the bat. So it’s an important for us to gather our thoughts, gather our energy and then uh go back to work on Monday and uh do do the right things again on uh Thursday. Thank you. Yeah. What are your takeaways from this hard fought game? It’s uh it was a close game. Um we stuck with it. I thought our puck management wasn’t great in the second period and it led to to some oddman rushes for them. Um, but other than that, I thought, you know, our forwards forch checked great and um, you know, turned over a lot of pucks and created some chances. This is one of those types of games where you do take away as many positives as you possibly can. I think so. Um, you know, from from the bench, it looked like uh, you know, everybody was was playing hard, but uh, you know, you’ll you’ll look back, watch some video, and and reassess in a few days. Just one of those nights where it’s tough to find any open ice like for sure. Um, you know, they’re a big long rangy, fast team. So, um, even on the power play, they didn’t give us much. Um, they pressure pretty hard and, um, you know, they got heavy sticks on the for check. So, um, yeah, it’s a good team over there. Even if you have the goal allowed, how do you think this team matched the Kings in terms of defensive stinginess? Um, yeah, I mean, I thought, uh, I thought we defended pretty hard tonight. Um, you know, they didn’t have a lot of looks. Uh, I don’t know what the shots were at the end of the game, but uh, you know, Ollie Ollie played great. Um, you know, I thought as the game went on, we we were breaking pucks out better. So, um, you know, there’s a good takeaway there. game. Tight checking game both both sides. Uh I mean I didn’t block a shot and it’s in the back of the net. We lose one nothing. So it’s uh it’s frustrating but you know we play we play like that. Uh we’re going to win a lot of hot games. Besides that goal allowed, how do you feel you matched up with the Kings in terms of defensive play and being extension? Yeah, we did a good job. I feel like we uh we did a lot of good things. Um we had our chances. I think uh yeah, we did a lot of good things. It’s just obviously the results not what we want. stand. It’s been a pretty solid stretch for you guys. How how do you feel the team is trending as you’re going to be heading out on the road for a lengthy trip? Yeah, it’s going to be a big trip for us. You know, just uh it’s our longest trip of the year. Um a lot of bonding time. Uh you know, we’re going to spend a lot of time together and uh that’s uh that’s always a good thing. So, uh, we just, uh, the game that we have here at home, we got to bring on the road. Thanks, guys. this game here tonight. That was a hard hard fought, hard played game by both teams. Uh not a lot of space out there either way. Probably unfortunate that we didn’t get a point tonight. How do you feel your team’s defensive strategy matched up against LA’s even though you allowed one goal in the end? Uh I I don’t understand how our defense was tonight. Yeah. Just you knew before this game just this was going to be a game where not a lot of shots were going to be given on either side. Yeah. I mean I think we only gave up 17 13 five on five shots. Checked pretty well tonight. Played pretty well defensively. Was there a way to generate generate more offense today? I don’t know. I mean, it’s pretty easy question to ask. How do you mean how do you generate more like? Yeah. Well, they’re a good team. They’re a good checking team as well. I think second and third best teams at five on five expected against. Give them credit. They uh they got big bodies. They blocked a lot of shots. I thought we could have done a little better job getting some shots to the net from the outside, but it’s a lot easier said than done when another team is in front of you and they’re they’re willing to block shots. Uh we probably chances were probably two to one for us. I think we spent twice as much time in the offensive zone than them. It’s a pretty good game. Power play could have generated more. How do you feel like your team is just becoming good defensively? It seems like the last few games really been good. Yeah, we’ve been I mean we’ve played a strong 200 foot game for you know fairly good amount of time here recently and if you play that way you’re you know there’s a good chance you’re going to win a lot of nights and I think tonight was one of those nights where the could have easily been one- nothing for us or two to one or it’s just one of those games where you play well and some nights you don’t get the results you want when you look back on the past week with this home stand. Do you like the way the team is trending as you head out for a pretty significant road trip? Yeah, I mean I I’ve like the way our game’s been trending for a while here. We’ve probably since the Islander game, I think that was I don’t know, game five. I don’t I don’t know exactly what game that was, but our uh our game’s been pretty solid. You’re not going to play, you know, perfect for 60 minutes. that just doesn’t exist in in today’s game. The other team also has a say in it, but uh you know, we’re going to have to probably play a similar game on the road. We’re going to be playing some good teams. I mean, every night’s a battle in the league now. You see the parody in the league. Um yeah, we’re going to have to play very similar hockey whether we’re home or away. Okay, guys.
