Seattle Seahawks Rookie Grey Zabel RETURNS to Practice: Will He Play vs. Titans?

It’s only Thursday, but Gray Zable already being back on the practice field in limited fashion is a great sign for the Seahawks and their rookie guard. Does that mean he’s going to be available on Sunday against the Titans or maybe even should be? That remains to be seen. But I expected even with the injury not being a significant one according to Mike McDonald, I anticipate he wasn’t going to be practicing at all this week. for him to be back after sitting out Wednesday and participating in limited fashion by Thursday. We’ll see what happens on Friday. If he’s a full participant tomorrow, then I would anticipate the chances of Grace Ael suiting up on Sunday increase dramatically. And it doesn’t matter who the upcoming opponent is, certainly you could make a case to hold Grace Ael out for a week. But if he doesn’t have a significant injury and it was just a bruised knee, he might be feeling really good already at this point. If he’s a full participant by Friday’s practice, I think there’s a really good chance that he makes the trip. Maybe he’s questionable at that point and the Seahawks see where he’s at. Could start against the Titans on Sunday. And considering where Tennessee’s strength lies, Jeffrey Simmons, Devandre Sweat in the middle. This may be a bigger game to have Grace Ael on the field than people anticipate given Tennessee’s 1 and9 record. Having backup guard and a backup center against that interior defensive line could be problematic. Could provide reason to have Gray Zable out there, especially if he’s 100% ready to go. Something that few could have anticipated when he was helped off the field at Sofi Stadium on Sunday.

Only four days after being assisted off the field at SoFi Stadium with what appeared to be a significant knee injury, rookie guard Grey Zabel was a limited participant on Thursday at practice, opening the door for him to potentially return to game action against the Titans on Sunday.

  1. I'd love for him to be available, but I also see this as a unique opportunity to get an extended look at Christian Haynes against top-tier competition with relatively low risk of it ruining our day.

  2. Great. But please don’t rush him back too soon. I wouldn’t him sit out until next week. Fully heal…. Yall do that for other players outta the blue this is our future guard so if prefer take the extra steps
