Instant Analysis of the 49ers’ 41-22 Win Over the Arizona Cardinals

The 49ers just beat the Arizona Cardinals 41-22. It’s a big win for the 49ers. Was it a statement win for the 49ers? No. The Arizona Cardinals are terrible and they beat themselves. They committed 17 penalties. But so let’s not focus on what it means to blow out the the Cardinals. The the Seahawks blew out the Cardinals and they lost to the Rams who beat the Niners. Let’s focus on the performance that we all wanted to see. Brock Curry first game back. What did he look like? Did he look like Brock Curry? And the answer was kind of as a passer, he looked like Brock. He was accurate. He held the ball a long time. He had some big plays. He had some questionable decisions. He had some passes that could have got intercepted, but he was essentially good Brock. Three touchdowns, no picks. Where you could see that he wasn’t 100% healthy was the mobility or lack thereof. He had no scrambles. He couldn’t get away from sacks. He didn’t look like himself. He looked like a pocket passer. And of course, that was more than enough to beat the Cardinals. Adrien Martinez would have whooped the Cardinals today. The Cardinals are dead. But the question is, is this team going somewhere? Are they going to win a playoff game? Can they beat the Browns in a few weeks? Browns have a good defense. And I mean, to me, the answer is, I don’t know. If if this is what Brock Curry’s going to look like the rest of the year, a Brock Curry who’s essentially stationary and can’t scramble, then they’re not going very far. But you know what? I think we knew they weren’t going very far. The question really is, is an immobile Brock Puri better than M. Jones, who isn’t particularly mobile anyway? And the answer is, I don’t know. I guess we’ll find out. Hard to say based on today. But what else do we learn? Um, the defense gave up 40 completions and it didn’t matter because the Cardinals are so bad and Eddie Panero got injured, pulled his hamstring. We’ll see if if that’s a longterm injury because the Niners are absolutely screwed without him. But hey, they just whooped the Arizona Cardinals. Watch out. [Music]

  1. Always been a hater since he caused drama during the harbaugh years with Anthony Davis … when he feels bad, he brings his daddy to interview and validate his opinions smh😂
Wish he would leave …. So horrible

  2. As a fan of the team, it's refreshing to not listen to homer content. That gets so old. He didn't say anything that wasn't true. Obviously he embellishes for the lulz, but, the Cardinals are awful, and the 49ers did do good things today but there are still clear weaknesses we need to address.

  3. Guys. Let's be honest. He's telling it like it is. I think the most important point is. . With all that's said about Salah – his defense stinks! I don't care about Bosa and Warner being out. What remains are still professionals and Salah is over rated. We're fans but let's be honest!

  4. These takes by the Haters like Grant tells you of the Boas they have and the urge to always be right. Narcissistic Grant. Instead of rooting and be happy for the Team. Some people forget that Purdy elevates the Team they are a totally different team with him.
