Rob’s jumper in this vid is way cleaner than how he usually shoots. smoother release, none of that rushed energy he normally has.

  1. An issue is that his form changes every time he shoots. So it isn’t a single fixable thing because it is so erratic.

  2. Coaching staff really want him to fix his shooting form and developments aren’t linear. It’s probably going to get worse before it gets better for him. I hope it won’t turn into a markel fultz or a bridges situation.

Also he and TJ are suffering sophomore slump. It is what it is.

  3. His mechanics are so wildly inconsistent and erratic, that they seem different to me every time. He had a recent three attempt that just left me shaking my head. My guess is when he struggles or is lacking confidence, it can go to hell.

I’m not hopeful he’ll ever be a consistent shooter. Which is unfortunate, because that’d be one thing that could help get him on the floor more, especially playing w/ Ant. Not sure if the numbers tell this story, but I assume his mechanics mean he’ll be an even worse catch & shoot shooter than he is off-the-dribble.
