Do what you want to do. I would appreciate you guys liking and subscribing to my radio show as well, which is on the WQAM YouTube page, 1043 WQAM, the home of your Miami Heat. Got one more pair of Heat Mavs tickets to give away uh on the show on Friday. And uh check that on out. So, uh, like and subscribe over there as well. You guys know the deal. So, uh, lot of busy day, busy day on heat news. A lot of things to dive into. Um, and first off, there is, uh, some injury news on the front. The Heat are going out for a short twoame road trip before coming back home for three. They have the Bulls on Friday night in an NBA Cup game. And then they have the Sixers on Sunday, which will be the front end of a backtoback. fact that they’ll return home Monday to take on the Chicago uh to take on the Dallas Mavericks. Then they have another NBA Cup uh Wednesday against the Bucks. We know Giannis is going to be out for that one. And then I believe next Saturday is Detroit, which is a game Duncan Robinson’s return. Uh Duncan Robinson deserves a tribute, by the way. I I hope uh I know that the rules kind of flumx around. Who gets a tribute? Duncan Robinson’s the all-time three-point leader. Um, he absolutely 1,000% deserves an awesome Gooseys Galore tribute. Um, we could talk more about that in the leadup, but I do hope that the Heat do the right thing by Duncan. People always say people like to be the tribute police all the time, but I I think he is one of the great stories of the organization, and I I um I really hope that he’s treated as such when he returns. So, I hope that that’s the case. I know that the last tribute video was a little uh you know, tepid because they just felt like they had to do it, but things were obviously very frosty with uh with Jimmy. I you know the one thing I’ll say about last night on the Jimmy thing um and the and the non- handshake and I and I thought about this with the game happening last year is that if he didn’t if he ended up if they ended up flip-flopping if he never would have played last year or the game would have already passed and there would have been an entire year of things passing and the Heat would have gotten Nor, let’s just say the Heat are able to get Norman Powell and they’re playing better and there’s more bygones, there’s more water on the bridge, but it was so ugly last year and the game last year was ugly and it was hard feelings and it’s understandable why and it still feels like the frostiness is there. It’s it’s there but it’s it’s it’s in the rear view and so like there’s just no wanting to mend fences right now. I do wonder if a year would have passed and that would have been the first game and then they do the video tribute, would that have gone any way to restoring this? Did the Heat want it to be that way? Did Jimmy want it to be that way? I don’t know. But food for thought on that type of stuff. Uh Jimmy had some interesting comments to um I think it was Anthony Slater and ESPN. There’s this piece on Jonathan Kamingo which I got roped into because Miami was mentioned in it because I my f my first reaction was you know we’ve been following this Kaminga thing almost by default all summer because he was linked to the Heat so much and the idea of like ah should the Heat get in the Jonathan Kaminga business? Should they go after Jonathan Kaminga? What’s the right answer there? I don’t know. and he uh he you know Jimmy was talking about how Jonathan Kaminga there’s a spot in the story where one team source tells Slater that Kaminga feels like the scapegoat again. They have a little bit of a a little bit of a Tyler Hero scenario where they’re they they play better without him. Now they’re not that great right now. They’re one game over 500, but that was kind of the read of the room as they got going a little bit when he got hurt with this knee injury. Um, and it was just a weird scenario all summer because it really felt like he wanted to move on, but he was a restricted free agent, not an unrestricted free agent. And you know, the coach didn’t seem to love him. Doesn’t seem like the greatest spacing basketball fit in the world, but he’s obviously a physical talent. He wants to take that next step and he wanted a place or a chance to do it somewhere. And you know, the Warriors were very stubborn on what to give. And so, you know, you sign a beefier one-year deal. I think it’s a one-in-one. And you’re in this spot now where like, yeah, you’re paid. You got some nice coin, but you’re still maybe not the happiest. And oh, lo and behold, some of the issues are already creeping up. But Jimmy Butler, apparent the big point of this story was Jimmy Butler has really taken him under his wing. And I will say this, like you could see this with Nico, you could see this with Max Stress. You can see this like Jimmy can pick some guys up and fill them with the right stuff. Um, so it’s not always the I can, you know, I can objectively say like that can be a very positive thing for the Warriors. But I did laugh a little bit where he said, uh, could you imag he he was talking about, you know, not being in a place where you’re wanted, which I think Kaminga has felt like. And he says, “Can you just imagine being in a place where like I get it. Are you wanted here or not? It’s the worst feeling, man. Can you imagine?” I had to deal with it in the latter part of my career of my tenure in Miami. It’s like, damn, I’ve been here. What are we talking about? It’s a bleepy place to be in. And no matter what you do, you don’t feel like you’re doing it right. Look, I can understand not having the money makes you feel unwanted, and that’s kind of always Jimmy sign of whether you want him or not. Um, but come on, dude. Like, I I don’t like that there’s a there’s a skeleton of a parallel there, but there’s not much meat on those bones. There’s not much meat on those bones between a 22 year old and a guy who is Jimmy’s age and had gotten everything from the organization every single time and they, you know, bent over backwards and all that type of stuff and then, you know, okay, they want because why? Because they want him to be a little bit more active. Come on. I think that that’s a again I think you can you have a skeleton of of an argument there, but there’s not there’s not a lot of uh there’s not a lot of beef there. He says, “So, he’s got a lot of feelings, which is okay. I think I just got to stay on them, though. Uh, let him know that I’m in your corner. We’re all in your corner. Just breathe. We’re not out to get you. I don’t think anybody’s out to get you. The fans, the media, maybe, but the people in it, we’re not out to get you, bro. I promise.” And uh, that’s what he had to say on Jonathan Kaminga. But I’m like, mm- I’m It’s great that that Jimmy because again, Jimmy can be good with this stuff with uh with with breathing uh commonism. Now, he can get frosty on guys, too, and he can flip on that stuff. Um, but it seems as of right now, he’s got some efforts to make Kaminga happy. But to be honest with you, I wish I look, I hope Jonathan Kaminga has a happy ending in with the Warriors. That’d be great for him. Uh man, I’m like he’s he’s not yet a good enough player to have this much. It’s just because this franchise gets so much coverage. He’s not he’s not this kind of special that we’ve needed this many pieces on Kaminga. And I’ll never forgive Shams because he was like this is going to be the craziest summer ever and all we’ve gotten is 900 pieces on the Kaminga. I know more about Jonathan Kaminga against my own will than I ever wanted to. So anyway, um there’s that. But as far as the Heat’s upcoming road trip is concerned, the uh big news is Andrew Wiggins is not going on this road trip. Uh no Andrew Wiggins, no Nico, Nicola Yovic still out as well. And I believe that’s a little concerning because Nico had said he was hoping this was going to be a oneandd with the game. And so know him, know him. And then obviously no Tyler Hero. Now there was Tyler Hero news. I’m uh I’m going to do another video on Tyler because I got, you know, it’s obviously a bigger picture thing on on some other decisions. Um so I will get on the Tyler Hero thing. I’m going to do another video tonight and so you guys can get in on that. I want to kind of stick it just here to the road trip because to me, okay, we knew Tyler Her wasn’t going to be here for this road trip. So, but the interesting thing is no Nico either because I think it would have been an easy like all right, you know, if Nico was coming right back, you’re still pretty rock solid with the bench. I’m curious with no Andrew Wiggins what Eric Wilshshire is going to do with the starting lineup because there’s some interesting configurations that you could kind of go here, right? Like if we’re just going to go with the healthy bodies that are available and where things are at with this team right now, okay, we know DaVon, Norman, Bam, Hela, that’s going to be your four right now. That’s what he stuck with yesterday when Bam came back injured and Kell went back to the bench. So, there’s a few things we can go with here. Okay, the Miami Heat could essentially they could bring up and I haven’t I don’t know if there’s been any news on that. The wild card is they could bring up Casper’s Yakonis and they could essentially insert him and he could be your point guard DaVon right next to DaVon. You could go three guards with Pella as your basically your four and Bam as your five. Very much unlikely, but could he be up there to come up on the bench? Maybe. I mean, I I I’ve as I’ve said in the games, he’s a guy who looks like he could use some G-League playing time before you’re ready to do that. So, I’m for my argument here, I’m just throwing I just put that out there because it’s he’s on the depth chart possibility. Could he just be there for depth? Sure. Especially if DaVon or Drew gets in into foul trouble. I would imagine they just need to have him there as a body. If somebody gets hurt, you got to have him. They do have Jamir Young up with the team. He was working out yesterday pregame. Um, so that’s a possibility as well. He hasn’t used, I believe, I don’t think he’s used any of his eligibility. And same thing goes for Myron Gardner. Maybe my Garner had a little playing time. So, thank you. Um, so I just wanted to put that option out there, but the most unlikely. Okay, the next thing is could they just put Kell in the starting lineup? They could go basically DaVon, Norman, Hela, Bam, Kell, but then you don’t really have a you you could have if there’s foul trouble, I guess you could have Vi Golden be called into duty for a little bit. This is kind of what the whole point of it is with a bench of Fonteio, Haime Hakez Jr., Drew Smith. You’d eventually you you’d essentially have your whole bench unit uh outside of having a backup big. So, you could do that. I think the most likely case is they’re going to start Haime. That’s what I would guess. I would guess that they would go Norm Powell, Haime Hakez Jr. on top of Pella, DaVon Mitchell, and Bam Adabio. And that would leave you with a bench of Drew Simone, and Kell with Keshot Johnson sprung into action if needed. Then there’s the off chance because Keshot has not looked fantastic, but maybe Eric Spolster looks at this as an opportunity to, you know, Spoles as similar as possible. So, if he feels like, hey, we’re going to go with a BAM starting lineup with Kell on the bench for a little bit. I like Haime in the six-man role. He’ll do this where he likes to keep things pretty together. Now, Haime did get some starting time earlier this year. here I think when Norm was down. But could he go in a position where he starts Keshaw Johnson? Could he could he go wild card on that and go with him next to Pelle? You got the two Arizona Wildcats. Maybe that makes him a little bit more comfortable. Bam’s there. Um with with Norman Davon. I think if I had to like even if I if I had to rank Drew’s not going to start obviously it’s you know because you got DaVon starting and then of you know could you just put Simone in there from the uh from the standpoint of just adding some three some nuclear three-point shooting and just feed him as many shots as possible. Can’t rule that out either. I do think he’s got a lot of different directions that he can go, but it feels like to me if you is the most likely, but I could see the argument like, hey, we could use these games here as just a a quick test. And even you don’t even have to do it for just do it for the first game. Quick test. Put Kishad out there. See if it works. See if he’s comfortable. see if he could just he’s in there with all the best players or essentially most of the best players and then if it stinks Haime’s in his normal role he comes right in for him because a lot of what they’ve done recently is it’s been Andrew is the first sub out for Haime quick stint out and then he goes back in usually for Pella once Pella’s ready to to rest. So, I could see a scenario where that might be a thing where he goes to Keshot and just sticks him in the starting line because there’s no Nico. That’s a possibility. I I think the but I think the most likely thing is that he’s going to go with is Andrew Wiggins with him out. I think he’ll probably just go with Haime. And then you got the bench of Drew, Simone, Khell, and then, you know, maybe you bring in Kashad for a little bit of energy. He plays the the spot minutes. Um, but you know, there there could I but you know, obviously Haime’s really found a great niche there in that role. And I’ll also say this, you know, you I don’t want to dog anybody for being injured because it is what it is, but look, um, this has been such a tough start for the year for Nico, you know, like to have a multi-game injury. Um, now on top of what’s already been like the fouling, the shooting struggles, and all this year, man, listen, I I thought this was going to be the year Nico um certainly taking all I mean, Jesus, good lord, you guys like ruthless. I mean, you want to talk about comments, you guys are like ruth Oh, the Heat can win. I could celebrate and all you guys be like, “Yo, only had five points. Yo, dude. This mother, I’ll just be like, damn, dude. I can’t even celebrate a eat win. Kiss my ass. He’s going to get it together. Nico’s going to get it together. But I cannot argue. It has been a bad year. It’s been a bit of a nightmare start. Um, inconsistency. I had some people, you know, I heard yesterday people were saying he doesn’t have that dog in him. He doesn’t He’s not tough. I don’t think that’s the case. I I couldn’t I’ve heard that case before on him. I couldn’t disagree more. I think that he cares a lot. I do think he has got uh I do think that he’s got that that dog in him and I think that I think he’s going to bounce back. This is a tough start. It’s a tough year. Um but there is a lot of season left and I’m not I’m not writing the obituary on Nicole Yoic’s season this year. But look, I’ll wear it if you guys want to keep using me as the piñata to uh to to to get out your frustrations on the Serbian Terminator. Been there before. Before I was been I’ve been there with Bam Autoio, too. You You hold the bag for Bam Autoio, you rat bastard. You You better give him the heat. Call him out. Meanwhile, like every time Meanwhile, every time I step, the truth is like when I step on the into the building, every like there’s the ranter, old wild card over there, you know, and everybody sits here, they think I’m carrying water for everybody. I can’t be carrying water for everybody. I can’t have the same people be mad at me who say I’m carrying water on this side. Doesn’t make any sense. I’m lashing out. Anyway, I acknowledge though like on top of the inconsistencies and now he’s dealing with durability issues which has been another thing that he’s had. So tough uh tough thing to deal with there with when it comes to Yoic dude. Still love him though. Think he’s going to think he’s going to get it. He’s going to put it together. Don’t starting to come together, Charlie. Starting to come together. That’s a major league reference for you youngans out there. Go watch it. They don’t make good uh sports movies anymore, especially funny ones. So, yeah, Andrew Wiggins being out sucks. Um and and the thing that and I got to say been a lot of bad bad injuries all uh in the NBA. It’s really creeping up between the Giannis, the Wemi, Damont Sabonis, I think Torres Maniscus today, so he’s out a month. A lot of guys are going down. And the Heat thankfully haven’t had like a real major one other than just waiting on Tyler Herro to come back. And I’m going to do another video on that and we’ll talk about his return. and also some new trade fod that’s out there not related to Tyler Herro uh but a an all-star is apparently unhappy and uh I’m sure Heat fans are going to be like so I’ll get into that but with Andrew Wiggins out and Nico out yeah this is this you’re testing the Heat’s depth is about as this is even with Bam out like it was like this is about testing it about as much as you have thus far this season. So the the BAM injury was probably the most critical because you really had no other size other than Kell and and Nico, but this is kind of the same thing because you still now don’t have the size of Nico, but you now you don’t have your one of your starting wings and one of the wings that you have on the bench has had a very Helter Skelter season. Your young point guard you have in the G-League. Um so going to be an interesting road test. And by the way, one of the things that’s going to be interesting about this before I I wrap up this video on the Heat, they have had a very good season, but they’ve been a very good home team. They haven’t been a good road team so far this year. They’ve been two and five. There have been struggles there. And so that is another thing I’d love if they can, you know, if if if they could just split these next two, I think that that would uh that would go a long way. These are all teams about the same record. He nine and six. Bulls as as I’m recording this eight and six and the Sixers are eight and six. So I think you know if you you come away with a split come home to try and get a winning home stand I think would put you in a a really nice spot. But we’ll see what it is right now with uh with your Miami Heat. This is obviously another obstacle thrown coach Spo and the boys way.

  1. We know kerr has spoken to Spo about him, so he has the inside scoop, so this will only happen if Spo agrees to it. If both sides were to come to an agreement.

  2. I don’t get this f**k Jimmy agenda. Dude wanted to get paid but he was too old and injury prone. He has spoken well about the franchise and the city since then. Obviously he left on bad terms because he really wanted out (partly because miami never found him real help) dude feels awkward when he comes here and he’s trying to focus on his new team some people are not as “mature” as you expect them to be and that’s their right.

  3. 😆 Tobin wants to give everybody a tribute.. If you start giving role players tribute videos then eventually they no longer have much value. No matter how you feel about Jimmy the heat would have never made the NBA finals without him.

  4. Maybe Niko is a really good European league player and would make a great G league talent? G leaguers can have one or two good games in the NBA but they arent NBA caliber players.

  5. We all saw how much Ware grew while Bam was out. The first chance Coach Spo had to demote Ware he could not resist kicking him to the curb. Not only did Ware not start but 7 other Heat played 4 or more minutes than Ware; absolutely ridiculous. Ware had a bad shooting game but was the best rebounder that night (18 teams playing) and Ware got 16 rebounds in a tad over 19 minutes. In last 5 games not only has Ware led the Heat in rebounding, he has led the whole league while playing limited minutes. But once again Spo is forced to give Ware minutes and he will once again learn how good he is.

  6. Why bench Ware by far your best rebounder and shot blocker? 29 teams would play Ware more than 24.1 minutes a game and now is the time to let Ware shine. When he is hot not 8 or 9 shots but 15 or 16 and you get a 20 to 25pt, 15 to 20 rb game. Why sit the best rebounder per minute in the NBA????????????????????? But I love watching Kelel so I'll have to wait until next season. Ware is shooting 6% better than Bam and 3 times the blocks per minute;. Give us a break Coach Spo hates Ware is the bottom line

  7. Honestly, although I appreciate the great runs with had with Jimmy, since he didnt win a ring, im kinda just burning that chapter. He left such a bad taste with his dramatic bs he pulled. To not hug bam showed what kinda person he is. Especially when Bam had to take heat fron the media for him. Just a bitch move tbh.

  8. Kelel Needs to start! Spo needs to stop limiting him. Davion,Powell, Pelle, Bam, Ware. And then let get a back up big. I don’t understand why Precious was waived. Thomas Bryant would have been good right now too. Smh.
