[Schefter] Giants QB Jaxson Dart has not cleared concussion protocol and has been ruled out for Sunday’s game vs. the Lions.

  3. I’d prefer he does not play and risk further injury. He should sit out until after the bye week.

  4. You have to feel bad for Mike Kafka here. This was supposed to be his big chance at a HC job and now at least 2 or 3 of his 7 game chance will be with the 3rd string QB.

  5. All for Dart taking as much time as needed, but didn’t this concussion feel like it very much was trending towards being a one week thing? Don’t think I’ve seen a scenario where a player was practicing as much as Dart and didn’t clear, especially with how reporting was on the injury. Feels a little odd, but don’t mind another jameis experience

  10. Is it a particularly bad concussion or are we just being safe here? I’m ok with being safe but I’d be a little worried if he’s still not out of protocol bc he isn’t passing the benchmarks

  12. There’s no reason to rush him back. Not playing the long game and using him as RB3 to save a bad head coach’s job is why he got injured in the first place.

  13. Kinda good kinda bad. The bad is obviously his health, the good is Kafka can’t piggyback off him and get him pummelled in a lost season to save/further his job

  14. There really was no point in rushing him back and risking more damage.. He can use the time to practice sliding. Get well soon Dart/Skat/Nabers.

  15. This is a good thing, was great seeing him pick up downs but taking the contact was always gonna end badly.

    Let him learn how frustrating concussion protocol is and he can avoid it from now on.

  19. Hoping it’s just the team docs slow playing another week to make sure he’s absolutely 100 percent. I’m definitely not one of the “shut him down” people, but I don’t hate them being extra cautious with the future of the team during a lost season.

  22. Well it’s going to be much harder to sit through Sundays game but obviously no sense in rushing him back. And tbh I’m fine with him not playing against Hutchinson and getting him 100% against Drake Maye

  25. I’m in the boat of lose out and trade the #1 for a Gigantic haul. Happy he is ruled out dude is the real deal maybe 1-2 games he will play for the rest of season.

    Idc what you think, if he healthy he plays bla bla blah this defense backfield is atrocious. No point of him playing him we will lose regardless cuz of the defense

  27. Our boy Jaxson is sitting again. Somewhat surprising cause he was getting some limited practice in. I imagine they’re playin it safe with the kid, which makes sense since we’re at Detroit in a lost season

    I thought Jameis looked competent though last week. I imagine we see Dart next week in a primetime game at New England

  28. At this point just let him sit out against New England too and have the Bye week to rest as well. He can play the last 4 games of the season.

  29. This is smart. Detroit is going to come out flying Sunday. Zero reason for him to play in this game. New englands pass rush isn’t bad
