Mature comment for someone who will be generationally wealthy playing a handful of games a year. This mentality keeps you around the league.
Some people on this sub don’t agree lmao.
Mills did a good job the past few weeks though. Really cemented his claim as the best backup in the league.
As much as I want to keep Mills here to back up CJ. I believe a team makes an offer for him that Caserio can’t refuse. He will start somewhere next season.
Best job in the entire league, Mitch Trubisky knows.
Dude is going to be one of those QBs in the league that you forget about but goes on to quietly establish a decade spanning career in the NFL
Even Mills understands his role on this team. Class act. Would love to watch people jump through hoops to say even mills is wrong.
Maybe I’m looking too much into it, but that’s kind of an asshole question. Everyone comes in the league trying to start and you’re kind of undermining his success by basically saying “do you view yourself as not great, but just good enough?”
Salute to you mills ,Tired of seeing fans and haters talk down on 7. 36 yards in the whole second half and we still won is a miracle
Easily top 5 backup
Dude is the idea #2 QB. He comes in, does his job, and goes back to making a ton of money watching football from the front row.
.o7 General Mills
Best backup in the league. Glad he’s on our side.
Mad respect for neck-money-Mills.
Davis Mills has shown why these last 3 weeks (4 really) why it’s important to spend money at the backup QB position.
Did he do anything amazing? Well not really outside of a Jags collapse. Is he a top NFL QB? I mean go look at all the throws he missed yesterday.
But he came in, he didn’t throw the “MORAL KILLING INTERCEPTION” and followed the gameplan to a T, this is what you need in the NFL, a dude who can come in and not sink the ship when the captain is away.
He will get a starting job within the next two seasons. Teams are desperate for a QB, and he’s winning games. Good for him.
That’s my backup quarterback!
Fear the Neck!!!
Would love to keep him but my mouth waters thinking about how many FRPs we could fleece the Browns with
He does have some of that starter aura🤩
Tbh he’s playing better than cj and more pocket awareness
Everyone talks about how good of a move it is to bring a veteran backup in for the starting QB but honestly it’s just as beneficial for the other backups. Having Keenum in the QB room for Mills the last few years was one of the better moves this Front Office made. This is a veteran QB answer.
Mills is on a 6 million dollar contract and is doing and saying what it takes to remain a quality backup QB and help his team win big games in the NFL. I’m happy as hell he’s on our team.
So many braindead bandwagon fans saying Mills should start over stroud. Mfs know 0 ball.

Mature answer and really good player. He could be a serviceable starter for a non contending team while they look for and groom a franchise QB.

Looking forward to seeing Stroud back in Indy next week *[Roll that beautiful bean footage](https://youtu.be/ZTimMSDnIw4?si=Ex6gWSrUdXedgvxK)*
